juan's del fuego no more. this egg and hash cafe started with a great concept and original food, but they keep cuting food quality and freshness to save $$! the food has become average fare, theserviceis pretty bad, and the attitude is "don't care".

the good: unusual mexi breakfast egg dishes, good breakfast potatoes.
the bad: slow and inexperienced service, little hot sauce selection, cut use of avocados to almost gone in dishes that have them, no fresh veggies or fruit (no salad, no berries, no fruit), poor selection, average boring atmosphere.

for an average mexi breakfast juan's is fine. but if you ask for anything extra they will charge you big time,serviceis slow and nonserviceoriented, food variety is not very healthy with no veggies or fruit for breakfast. the few exciting additions to their food have been cut back or eliminated since they opened. i give it 2.5 stars of 5 star review.

this place was amazing!! theservicewas quick and the food was exceptional. we showed up at 9 and it wasn't packed at all but by 10, there was a pretty long wait. definitely beat the crowd!!!

incredible food. so so service. first off it was a cold holiday morning, so they were very busy. after standing unnoticed at the front waiting to be seated for over five minutes, i seated myself at the bar. it took another 10 minutes or so for one of the waitstaff to acknowledge me. she quickly dropped a menu with no greetings. i ordered a black coffee (very fresh) and a tamale and eggs plate at the recommendation of a friend. it did not disappoint. the potatoes (i think they called them fuego fries) were not bad, but average. they are basicly pan fries. the tamales and eggs were so good that i would suffer through the mediocreserviceagain to have them. who knows, maybe it was just an off day due to my timing.

best breakfast in norman. love the food and seriously the tamale breakfast is the best thing on the menu.serviceis slow and sometimes grumpy but doesn't stop me from going back time and time again.

fast, good food. i've had their chorizo omelet, mushroom swiss omelet and relleno omelet in the past. no complaints over here. food is prepared hot and fresh. it's all very delicious and tasty. my favorite is still the mushroom swiss omelet with the relleno omelet a close second. my friends have had the pleasure of having the chorito and the green chile chicken enchilada. both dishes received high praises.serviceis standard but can be slow on busier times and days. i've always gone before noon on weekdays, but i heard that there is a wait on the weekends! be sure to check out their specials too. i know that i was tempted to try that a couple of times, but the omelets pull on me is simply too hard to break.

i went with high expectations and they were met. i had the tacos mexicanos, beef, chicken and pork. so good. the food was flavorful and filling but still light. the tacos were not greasy or over stuffed. the salsa that came w the meal was made w roasted veggie. it had a lot of flavor and some heat but was a compliment to the dish not over powering. chips, salsa and guacamole were all good. the rice and beans - the beans were so thick and full of flavor i'd go back for more. finally, theservicewas just what i'd want - attentive but not annoying. i'll go back... maybe tomorrow.

i only wish they were open for dinner. i have had breakfast and luhc here a few times and the food andservicewere exceptional. get anything with the green chiles on it and you will have a culinary masterpiece.

weird. i generally like bland, understated food.

this place is way too bland. it seems to have a following, maybe you will like the flavor.

i can't get past the bad (slow!)serviceand tasteless food.

i wanted very badly to like them. even their chips and salsa was gross. they have since stopped serving that.

terrible management - the lady that seems to run the front of the house ends up waiting half the tables, because the staff is poorly trained or still new. if you do try it, give yourself some time.

a success already. the food is wonderful.. to the best of my knowledge, the place has only been open for less than 6 weeks as of this writing. we got there at 11:30 a.m. on a saturday morning, and a line was already forming out the door. it's not a tiny place either, probably seats 75. theservicewas very efficient and professional, yet our server could answer our "first timer" questions with grace. warm, but clean decor with a frieda kahlo mosaic on the wall.
i ordered the chile relleno omelet and added bacon. it was divine. a generous dose of roasted poblano peppers, bacon, and a light slather of cream cheese were the primary fillers. the omelet was topped with beautiful fresh slices of avocado and some shaved hard white cheese, dare i say it may have been manchego?
despite the high volume of customers, we had a wonderful brunch. my fellow diners seemed to be all having a great experience too. get there if you can.
