just right. great food made to order. we love to sit at the bar and watchjuando his thing in the kitchen.
go next door afterwards for dessert at sweets and spurs!

yum! had breakfast here 2x. tamales for breakfast. yum! the pancakes are the best i've ever had. they also have a daily special. our table today was close enough so we could watchjuanwork his magic in the kitchen. he and his wife have a wonderful restaurant. waiter was attentive. real ceam for my coffee and real butter also. we will be back frequently

i have been hearing for a year or two aboutjuandel fuego. everything i have heard has all been good. this place is only open for breakfast and lunch, so i haven’t been able to go since my normal going out to eat time has been supper. today i didn’t have to work and i needed to run errands in norman, and when i got hungry i decided to stop in and try it.

first of all it is a bit hard to find. it isn’t on one of the main streets, it is in a little strip center just south of main and just west of ed noble parkway behind the burger king and eyemart express. it took me a minute to find it, but i am glad i did.

i walked in, and the restaurant was packed. there was only one table and some seats at the counter left. when given the choice i opted to sit at the counter, i didn’t want to take up a 4 top on a full day. i looked at the menu and decided to get an enchirito vegetarino and an iced tea. there weren’t many choices for vegetarians, there were a few and this one seemed like the best one where they can take out the cheese without much issue.

the food was delicious and i liked the variety of menu items...unfortunately, the sloppy wait staff with their oily hair, worn t-shirts and dirty socks made me want to rush to finish eating so i could leave to take a shower. ifjuandel fuego's put more effort into having a presentable staff, i'm sure more people would enjoy eating at this great local business.

still the best. just can't get enough of this place. took some friends there it was their first time they were all impressed by the food and service. thnx everyone atjuandel fuego you made me look good

a wonderful place to eat. a relaxed atmosphere great food good people very reasonable prices good coffee i could go on and on. i am happy to have found this place .

if we've learned one thing about eating here it's that it is pretty much impossible to go wrong. the menu includes standard american breakfasts, tex-mex lunches, vice-versa and a number of hybrids. best as we can tell (it'd be wrong to stopjuanand ask him when he's that busy) everything that can be home made from scratch is. for fans of the diner's legendary flapjacks - good news - you can get 'em here too even if marks two-time state champion chili didn't make the trip down main street (i would guess that is a function of juan's respect for mark's legacy - because you know he knows the recipe by heart).

watchingjuanand his wife, elayne, work the kitchen was impressive and exhausting. the duo works together seamlessly. she flitted around him, prepping omelets and sprinkling queso fresco while he broke eggs and dropped them on a pan with one hand and passed off a completed order with the other. guests frequently stopped by the bar area to say hi to elayne, to ask how her mom was doing, to thankjuanfor a great breakfast. they never missed a beat.

amazing. i had the relleno omelette, and it was fantastic!juanis a magician.

simply awesome. the atmosphere, the service, the decorations, the menu selections, and most of all the tamales are awesome!

i cannot get enough ofjuandel fuego's mexi-diner, a very special restaurant!
