great brunch!. my wife had tamales and eggs and said they were the best tamales she had ever had. since she eats these a lot, that is a great compliment. i had enchiladas and eggs. also great. i also ordered blueberry pancakes and biscuits and gravy. it was also really great. the pancakes were loaded with fresh blueberry's. we went around 12:30 on a saturday and only had to wait about 10 minutes. just know they close at 2pm every day so it's not a dinner place.

great food. our family loves breakfast, and we've eaten here probably a dozen times. i love that breakfast is served throughout their opening hours, and the food is great. i've tried a few things, but i tend to get huevos rancheros with the green sauce and scrambled eggs. it' s huge portion, and their fuego fries are yummy.

the services tends to be pretty good, and the food comes out quickly. if you go on a weekend during normal breakfast hours, be prepared to wait for a table. i recommend!

yummy vegetarian breakfast options. they have at least 5 vegetarian breakfast items. i have tried several - all unique and yummy. i agree, though, that the food seems to need a little salt or seasoning.
the decor is nice.
the restaurant is locally owned, and the owners are wonderful people.
i'm looking forward to trying the lunch menu sometime as well.

if we've learned one thing about eating here it's that it is pretty much impossible to go wrong. the menu includes standard american breakfasts, tex-mex lunches, vice-versa and a number of hybrids. best as we can tell (it'd be wrong to stop juan and ask him when he's that busy) everything that can be home made from scratch is. for fans of the diner's legendary flapjacks - good news - you can get 'em here too even if marks two-time state champion chili didn't make the trip down main street (i would guess that is a function of juan's respect for mark's legacy - because you know he knows the recipe by heart).

watching juan and his wife, elayne, work the kitchen was impressive and exhausting. the duo works together seamlessly. she flitted around him, prepping omelets and sprinkling queso fresco while he broke eggs and dropped them on a pan with one hand and passed off a completed order with the other. guests frequently stopped by the bar area to say hi to elayne, to ask how her mom was doing, to thank juan for a great breakfast. they never missed a beat.

this family owned, local business is fantastic! a comfortable diner with delectable entrees! the pancakes are light and fluffy, never too greasy! eggs are always cooked to order. the south of the border eggs benedict is amazing. the creamy hollandaise sauce is slightly spicy. the ham steak and english muffin are about the same thickness, which is nice. often times, the bread is too thick and over powers the other components of this dish. served with a choice of hash browns or home fries, this mexican inspired twist on eggs benedict gets two thumbs up! some weekend mornings there is a bit of a wait, but generally goes pretty quickly. in addition to great food, the wait staff are friendly and efficient.

consistently delicious. i have eaten at juan's so many times i have lost count. the green chili melt is one of the best burgers i have ever eaten anywhere. simple but delicious. being a chef and restaurateur myself, i can appreciate what he does, which is very unlike the homogenized restaurants people have grown accustomed to unfortunately. the tamale omelette with green chili sauce is another favorite. the carnitas tacos are very good, especially so if you ask for the fresh salsa they make for another dish. i look forward to my next visit and the many that will come after that.

bland and pricey. it was very bland tasting food. very small restaurant and tiny tables (we had five). would not recommend and will not come back. plus they don't have queso!
