joe's crab shack

visited joe’s last night for the first time to try out their buffet. we love joe’s crab in new york so we were very excited. sad to say, it was such a disappointment. there wasn’t any crab in the buffet menu and when i asked, the girl told me they will just give us a plate of crab legs. they served a cold serving of 4pcs of crab legs that was so tough and not juicy at all, tasted like it was boiled from yesterday. there was also no lemon butter sauce to at least salvage it. i didn’t enjoy it at all.
i also asked before we sat down if drinks are included in the buffet and the girl said yes. hubby got us 2 glassed of 7up but minutes later another girl approached us to tell us that 7up is not included so we will have to be charged for it. i complained and told her to just get it back and serve us water.goodthing we weren’t charged for that, but it was such a spoiler dealing with that.
buffet options were not impressive. 2-3 pasta dishes, i only tasted the bolognese but it was bland. has several pieces of fried shrimp and fried chicken pieces — also tough and cold. no beef dishes. there was fish fillet and another fish dish but it was just so-so. there’s also french fries and crab cake and salmon pastry — but all starchy options.
honestly, the only thing i enjoyed is the crab soup.
and the brownie which was served as dessert because there was no dessert area in the buffet.
i didn’t feel that we got our money’s worth.
sadly, not sure i’m enticed to go back. maybe stick to the one in new york instead 😞

the buffet is perfect the food variation isgoodthe taste is moderate but the food waste is more than the triple i am so sorry for that i can’t blame the people coz u need to stand for 15 min to take food so i ant take little am out to taste you want to take what is enough and then u find something not nice for your taste so you throw it

service was good, the location was also great which made the place agoodspot where ambiance was really giving you the american vibe. the food was reallygoodthat buttery sauce complimented the dish.

i love sea food. but did not like it
the fish and chips looks like frozen fish . i like the mediterranean better.
the service isgoodand the staff are friendly. but the food with the price tags are not worthy.

we drove all the way down to tawar mall to try this place, we’re curious if it’s asgoodas the others. i believe this is the first one in qa btw & we’re not disappointed. it’s a shame cause the place is empty when we got there, but the food and service is really awesome. they have wide range of seafood meals & other options .we really enjoyed our joe crabshack experience and will definitely coming back.

wow it's agoodcrab experience to us here at joe's it is a little bit pricy but worth it ,,,crabs are so delicious even the lobster madness and crab chowder aregoodus well...
especially the guest relation are so fantastic...it is fabulous..

i really love this restaurant and there’s not one dish that i did not like. there’s excellent service and really nice staff. keep up thegoodwork!

we have heard a lot about joe’s crab shack so we decide to give it a try. it was worth it
we ordered classic sampler, and it wasgoodspecially the crab dip and great balls of fire for appetizer.
main course we ordered one shrimp taco, and cedar salmon cooked and served on a wood, it was best taste of salmon in qatar.
also, we ordered carb daddy bucket and it was great and the flavor of ragin cajun was tasty

the price is reasonable for the amount and quality of food and crabs

for sure we will come again 😋

the only lively restaurant inside tawar mall because they have interaction with customers whenever they play this song wherein their staff dance and encouraging customers to join! it was too cute to look at.. children and parents dancing (they should at least allot a small space for this so customers can freely participate).
i am not fond of eating crab, i find it time consuming to crack and de-shell the meat so it wasgoodthat the service crew helped us do the trick to easily eat the crab meats. they're friendly and accommodating.
the taste of the sauce was good, not too spicy and it tasted fresh too. the casserole wasgoodenough for 02 people, we just added side dishes like mashed potato and coleslaw. its a bit pricey though its understandable since its doha's price range for seafood is quite high. nevertheless, trying it once isgoodenough.
they should branch out to other malls which will be more accessible to other people.

portion size of clams weren’t great and few were missing from their shells. inspite of informing the staff nothing was done to rectify the issue.
way too pricey... i personally feel sea food shouldn’t be so expensive in qatar especially when ur surrounded by water all around.... prices should be reduced to an extent.

the service isgood, also the ambience of the restaurant is nice. appetizers aregood, oredered a steamed bucket of crab and shrimp that was good. overall nice experience but little bit pricy.

we have read lots of negative reviews about this place but stil wanted to try the place because we wanted to have crabs. surprisingly, we had a different experience.
1. the setup is very stylish and the decor is nice.
2. the staff are really friendly and helpful. the dance they do every while is very cute.
3. most importantly the food we tried was super yummy. the rajun cajun sogoodand can be shared, you just need bread to dip in the yummy sauce. we also had the sampler it is amazing. finally, we had the shrimp taco also good.

so finally do not believe all the reviews and try the place

i had a crab craving so decided to try the new place. well in short, i was hungry at the end of the meal with agoodamount on the bill. taste was fine, nothing great. atmosphere is ok. servers are friendly and they have this whole dance routine and special way to open your pot and stuff.. unnecessary but fine. all that would have been way better if the food and the taste could match up to the hype they create. 
i had the garliky mussel which hadgoodflavor, the fisher pot was just 1 snow crab, really small lobster tail, and around 25 clams. the fisher pot didn't really have much flavor so we used the garliky leftover as a dip. seafood is expensive but the correct picture should be given to the customers. the pots are not shareable. in fact it is not enough for 1 hungry person. guys if your really hungry eat somewhere else.

i saw lots of ads to the restaurant before i decide to go,
i liked the atmosphere kindly and cheerful staff but the menu is too poor and they publish photos showing the portion is too big but in fact it's not

we tried the fisher steaming pot, paradise platter and rockin shrimp popcorn

"fisher pot" was tasteless, there is no flavor just steamed with a lot of butter, 2 half small crab without any meat inside, 2 lobster tails and very little amount from small mussels " i forget what they named it" , and 2 sausage

"paradise platter" was perfect, i liked mac n cheese macaroni with delicious shrimp, fillet hamour fish was good, shrimp skiwear was verygood, but the rice was tasteless and not salted, and fries was good.

"rockin shrimp" was perfect and the portion was verygood

finally we tried two kind of juice, it wasgoodbut not perfect
