joe's crab shack

was here for iftar with friends.. place is small but ambiance is really nice.. buffet was fine and food is great too.. service was lil bit slow due to busy operation but once you call any attention of servers there all attending your needs as much as they could which is understandable.. i just don’t like how manager manages the operation. i noticed that during iftar time he was rushing people to grab food on the buffet and how would that possible if the line is not moving and food are fast to be empty and people are waiting for the food to be refill before moving on to the next.

visited joe’s last night for the first time to try out their buffet. we love joe’s crab in new york so we were very excited. sad to say, it was such a disappointment. there wasn’t any crab in the buffet menu and when i asked, the girl told me they will just give us a plate of crab legs. they served a cold serving of 4pcs of crab legs that was so tough and not juicy at all, tasted like it was boiled from yesterday. there was also no lemon butter sauce to at least salvage it. i didn’t enjoy it at all.
i also asked before we sat down if drinks are included in the buffet and the girl said yes. hubby got us 2 glassed of 7up but minutes later another girl approached us to tell us that 7up is not included so we will have to be charged for it. i complained and told her to just get it back and serve us water. good thing we weren’t charged for that, but it was such a spoiler dealing with that.
buffet options were not impressive. 2-3 pasta dishes, i only tasted the bolognese but it was bland. has several pieces of fried shrimp and fried chicken pieces — also tough and cold. no beef dishes. there was fish fillet and another fish dish but it was just so-so. there’s also french fries and crab cake and salmon pastry — but all starchy options.
honestly, the only thing i enjoyed is the crab soup.
and the brownie which was served as dessert because there was no dessert area in the buffet.
i didn’t feel that we got our money’s worth.
sadly, not sure i’m enticed to go back. maybe stick to the one in new york instead 😞

my experience for the iftar buffet wasn't pleasent. the food varieties was very limited mostly fried. i think would be better to try it other day

i've been to joes crab shack in other cities, so i knew what to expect. the quality of the food in this location was poor compared to their other locations. i had the classic steam pot. the potatoes and corn were under cooked. the sausage was good. i had the apple crumble for dessert. it was soggy and not very appealing. i am not one to be dissatisfied with dessert. ever. over $50 for a beer, dinner, and dessert. won't be back.

came here for iftar. we are little disappointed because they are not refilling the soup and other food. too crowded so the needs of the guests were not attended quickly.
better to go during normal hours not iftar, and the food is better when you order ala carte.

1. simply amazing, wide & delicious variety of seafood dishes worth the double value for money. the restaurant management and organization is satisfactory even with the heavy reservations.
2. platters got filled immediately once it get finished with food. all courses were outstanding, couldn't advance something as all is perfect.
3. unlimited ramadan cold drinks & tea, including a bottle of water but there is no desserts section, only a small choco cake piece on the table.

the buffet is perfect the food variation is good the taste is moderate but the food waste is more than the triple i am so sorry for that i can’t blame the people coz u need to stand for 15 min to take food so i ant take little am out to taste you want to take what is enough and then u find something not nice for your taste so you throw it

went here thursday evening for an early dinner. the place was pretty empty though people did start coming in later in the evening. the interior decor is really charming and the service was quite nice too. we ordered the cedar roasted salmon and the captain's plate. the portion size of both items was really small and the plates were definitely pricey in comparison to the quantity. in terms of quality, there was nothing i particularly liked. it wasn't bad per se, just average. my friend really liked the snow crab that came with the captain's plate though. our server was really nice and taught us how to get the crab meat out since it was our first time having crab. i also ordered a side of mac and cheese which was disappointing - it was basically the kraft's boxed mac and cheese, not necessarily bad tasting but i'd definitely expect more from a restaurant.

service was good, the location was also great which made the place a good spot where ambiance was really giving you the american vibe. the food was really good that buttery sauce complimented the dish.

went there multiple times always ordering the king and queen crab buckets, they are to die for. the crab meat is fun to get out, sweet to the taste and extremely flavorful. tried different seasonings and i think the cajun is my favorite. they both come with corn on the cob and beautiful seasoned boiled skinned potatoes. additionally they come with a side of plain white rice which you can substitute with not so great veggies (bland) or fries. the food, the ambiance, and the wonderful staff always make it an amazing visit. it is a bit pricey but very much worth it, don’t cheat yourself by going there and not ordering the king crab.

i love sea food. but did not like it
the fish and chips looks like frozen fish . i like the mediterranean better.
the service is good and the staff are friendly. but the food with the price tags are not worthy.

last time we went to @joescrabshackqatar the food was pretty good. service was decent as well. wish they had more than a 5 minute repeating loop of deadliest catch on the tv though. maybe put a few episodes and turn it up so we can hear it. price is midrange and may or may not be worth it to you depending on how flavorful you like your seafood. if you love crab legs this place will be your jam though.

place and staff were ok, we ordered 2 buckets of crabs, but they were overcooked, crab meat was hard and dry, not like the way crab must be prepared.

food was great and excellent service! the crew is knowledgeable about the food they serve. a highly recommneded place to go if your love eating seafood. plus they also sell nice shirts and souvenir stuff.

love the place, surprised not to see on home page. suggest crab and tacos, staff are friendly. thank you. must come for family.
