joe's crab shack

visited joe’s last night for the first time to try out their buffet. we love joe’scrabin new york so we were very excited. sad to say, it was such a disappointment. there wasn’t anycrabin the buffet menu and when i asked, the girl told me they will just give us a plate ofcrablegs. they served a cold serving of 4pcs ofcrablegs that was so tough and not juicy at all, tasted like it was boiled from yesterday. there was also no lemon butter sauce to at least salvage it. i didn’t enjoy it at all.
i also asked before we sat down if drinks are included in the buffet and the girl said yes. hubby got us 2 glassed of 7up but minutes later another girl approached us to tell us that 7up is not included so we will have to be charged for it. i complained and told her to just get it back and serve us water. good thing we weren’t charged for that, but it was such a spoiler dealing with that.
buffet options were not impressive. 2-3 pasta dishes, i only tasted the bolognese but it was bland. has several pieces of fried shrimp and fried chicken pieces — also tough and cold. no beef dishes. there was fish fillet and another fish dish but it was just so-so. there’s also french fries andcrabcake and salmon pastry — but all starchy options.
honestly, the only thing i enjoyed is thecrabsoup.
and the brownie which was served as dessert because there was no dessert area in the buffet.
i didn’t feel that we got our money’s worth.
sadly, not sure i’m enticed to go back. maybe stick to the one in new york instead 😞

i've been to joescrabshack in other cities, so i knew what to expect. the quality of the food in this location was poor compared to their other locations. i had the classic steam pot. the potatoes and corn were under cooked. the sausage was good. i had the apple crumble for dessert. it was soggy and not very appealing. i am not one to be dissatisfied with dessert. ever. over $50 for a beer, dinner, and dessert. won't be back.

went here thursday evening for an early dinner. the place was pretty empty though people did start coming in later in the evening. the interior decor is really charming and the service was quite nice too. we ordered the cedar roasted salmon and the captain's plate. the portion size of both items was really small and the plates were definitely pricey in comparison to the quantity. in terms of quality, there was nothing i particularly liked. it wasn't bad per se, just average. my friend really liked the snowcrabthat came with the captain's plate though. our server was really nice and taught us how to get thecrabmeat out since it was our first time having crab. i also ordered a side of mac and cheese which was disappointing - it was basically the kraft's boxed mac and cheese, not necessarily bad tasting but i'd definitely expect more from a restaurant.

went there multiple times always ordering the king and queencrabbuckets, they are to die for. thecrabmeat is fun to get out, sweet to the taste and extremely flavorful. tried different seasonings and i think the cajun is my favorite. they both come with corn on the cob and beautiful seasoned boiled skinned potatoes. additionally they come with a side of plain white rice which you can substitute with not so great veggies (bland) or fries. the food, the ambiance, and the wonderful staff always make it an amazing visit. it is a bit pricey but very much worth it, don’t cheat yourself by going there and not ordering the king crab.

last time we went to @joescrabshackqatar the food was pretty good. service was decent as well. wish they had more than a 5 minute repeating loop of deadliest catch on the tv though. maybe put a few episodes and turn it up so we can hear it. price is midrange and may or may not be worth it to you depending on how flavorful you like your seafood. if you lovecrablegs this place will be your jam though.

place and staff were ok, we ordered 2 buckets of crabs, but they were overcooked,crabmeat was hard and dry, not like the waycrabmust be prepared.

love the place, surprised not to see on home page. suggestcraband tacos, staff are friendly. thank you. must come for family.

food was average. i liked the bisque it came with more than the main dish. wud have given 3 star but reduced one as the servers had zero information about their own menu. i specifically asked if there was a lunch menu/ smaller portion menu and was told there is none. after ordering while going through zomato, i see the lunch menu which the server had no idea about or wasnt interested in letting people know about. so ended up paying double of what wud have been the lunch menu price. though wud have liked to come back to try thecrabplatter and shrimps but rethinking abt it now.

loved the food, taste & ambiance.. highly recommended forcrablovers in qatar.. good service & friendly staff..

we tried the joe’s signature sampler (which hadcrabdip which was okay, cajun chicken strips, mozzarella sticks), alfredo chicken pasta (fine too if you love cheese) and blackened shrimp tacos (shrimp was plain so there is not much flavor in it). remember these portions are big enough for a full course meal which doesn’t leave much room for thecrabdish. joe’scrabshack is known for itscrabdish i.e.crabsteam pot or basket, neither of which we were willing to try because it was going to be a hassle to crack open the shell!! you should try these dishes if your plan for an outing is to just have food.!! i would prefer not visit this place again considering the price and the value for the dish, maybe for another few months.

i really love thecrabnachos. great service, ambiance and food quality. although a lil bit noisy but over all it was a great dining experience. for sure will come back.

the place is great!!!

i had really terrible experience in joe'scrabshack in tawar mall. the foods was great i order joe's classic sampler the calamari voodoo chicken bite is nice all so the chips dip in thecrabdip is perfect combination.. but the best in joe'scrabshack is the crabs itry the ragin cajun and the arctic bay the taste of the meat is very nice.. next time we come back i will try the others foods. thaks to joe'crabi really enjoy the foods what itry to eat till next time😍😍😍😍

wow it's a goodcrabexperience to us here at joe's it is a little bit pricy but worth it ,,,crabs are so delicious even the lobster madness andcrabchowder are good us well...
especially the guest relation are so fantastic...it is fabulous..
