goodfoodneed to fix the prices back no need to put them up any higher than they were the new owners had already put them up and now have once again disappointing and way over priced tofu should not be $4 for only 4 tiny pieces

this is a place i would consider more as a comfortfoodestablishment. nothing i found was amazing or seriously good. however, a good price point with decent enoughfoodis all good in my books.

i love the teriyaki salmon sushi roll! next to my favorite is the salmon avocado mango roll!foodare reasonably priced and very delicious! staff are very helpful too. 👍🏻

this place is so lit, honestly, jizzo more like jiz in my pants !! if youre a poor student like me its the best place to go, you get so muchfoodfor the price and its always super quick, also byo and they dont really mind if u get super drunk and dance on the tables ha . def recommend the jizo balls, but everything is mean. yeah go here if u wanna have a good time

delicious meal! usually i getfoodenvy at places... but my katsu chicken curry was delicious! i rate mt experience at 3 because... i don't like how we had to line up in a loooong line and wait at the counter to order - feels like i'm at macdonald or kfc getting fast food! it was squishy and the waitress had to keep asking to excuse past us.. so really ur expected to stand in single file.. which isn't ideal when u want to talk to ur friend. i think for such a popular restaurant they should sort the waitress/servers out so the whole dining experience is in harmony with the actual food. when i requested for my curry to be very spicey when i made my order.. they didn't seem happy and acted as if it was an impossible request. however, other than the service issues i thought myfoodwas fantastic. i also discovered when back at the table that there is spice shakers. .. which.. i guess they could have pointed out when i asked my meal to be spicey. i will return again - not for special occasions but just for a casual meal. the price was reasonable and thefoodwas delish.

i went to have dinner with my friend last night. thefoodwas good. i ordered sashimi. they were fresh enough eat. (you know sashimi can only be eaten if the fish is fresh) the atmosphere of the place is ok. staffs were nice and friendly. surprisingly, the price was not expensive at all compared to the quality and amount offoodwe got.

this restaurant is one of the better japanese restaurants in dunedin. theirfoodis fresh, reasonably portioned (especially for their price) and presented well. perhaps not such an authentic japanese taste, but theirfoodis a quite well "localized" for kiwi tastebuds.

if i had to choose eating some japanese food, i think i would choose this place simply because of the quality of the food. they're quite close to what they're meant to be. the presentation of thefoodis also elegant, with a wide range of dishes to choose from and a great atmosphere of the place.

the only downside of the place is that you can't book in advance. usually on the weekends, the place is packed. it's not ideal for a night out.

awesome! i just love this place and have been several times! theirfoodis amazing very fresh and is made to order (sushi etc....) it's delicious and can't recommend them enough! great value for money too.

thefoodis good, but the service is so poor and they don't really care.
1. was waiting for a table, one waitress said we could have the next table, but then gave it to someone else.
2. instead of taking orders at the table they make you line up like some cattle factory. would be about 10 people lining up, one waitress taking orders while the head waitress folded napkins...please, why not take the orders at the table when so hectic or have two people on. going out for dinner is about the experience not just the food.
3. wait for it... the head waitress used the same cloth to wipe down the chair seats as the table..yuck!

had read the reviews here about the staff. my experience have staff have been okay. thefoodis the star here. the dumplings, teriyaki salmon and chicken curry fantastic. the salad good too but needs to be shared as there is plenty. tasty tasty tasty

have been to jizo twice now. excellent food, good quality, great variety and well priced. it's great to have a place you can take your family that is economical and healthy. the last visit i went with a couple of friends. the place was very busy and we thought we'd be lucky to get a seat but they work so efficiently that it was only a matter of minutes before a table was free. thefoodcame quickly and was delicious. i had teriyaki salmon... mmm! next week is my hubby's birthday and i'm going to take him and the children. our children are reasonably fussy eaters but there's enough of a variety on the menu i'm sure they'll find something they'll enjoy.

we eat out for lunch every friday, our group ranges from 3 to 9 people and we try to go somewhere new each week. we have 3 rules: 1. has to be in walking distance. 2. $15 per head limit. 3.can't take longer than an hour.

we enjoyed our lunch at jizo! it was very busy, but as only 4 of us went it was easy to get a seat, if our group would have been any bigger we would not have been able to sit together or we would have had to go else where.

the service was good and we got ourfoodquickly. the place was clean and tidy and the staff were very attentive. we will go back again one day i am sure.

went to jizo cafe to have a nice meal with my wife as we often do. but upon arrival we found it was busy and we were asked to wait which is fair enough. after waiting for a while another group of 3 came in and an asian lady (who looked like the manager) approached them and seated them first. we talked to her and asked why we were not seated first. she said that we had to wait for the smallest table to clear because there were only the two of us, also it was very hard to understand her due to poor english. after another 10 minutes we were finally seated. thefoodwas excellent but this kind of service is appalling.
