a nice cozy place for dinner. the pasta was incredible, but a bit overpriced when compared to similar restaurants - we had the prawn pasta and the cabanarro with field mushrooms. both are highly recommend.servicewas great!

booked a table. when we got there we were told they made a mess up with the reservations and we had to
wait. instead of ensuring that this is in order, but no we stood around like idiots. so annoying. this is not the first time this has happened

i visited the italian kitchen in tokai this evening for dinner with my mother.

to start off. italian kitchen has a warm welcoming atmosphere. the décor definitely said italian and fitted the restaurant.

the food was delicious! i had the chicken and spinach risotto. it was rich in flavour and aroma!
my mother ordered the carbonara linguine. it was tasty and the presentation was homely!

theservicewas the only let down. firstly i don't appreciate being greeted in french at a italian restaurant. secondly the manageress was clearly only interested in her regular customers ,or maybe i just looked scary, because she never visited or checked with our table, but visit all the tables around us. lastly we waited ages to pay our bill, 15 mins to be exact!

i would consider returning for the food. but theservicedefinitely requires some work.

i love this cosy restaurant in tokai! it has a very relaxed and chilled atmosphere. my partner and i love the sei and nove pizza. 

theserviceis always great. i wish they would put the chairs and tables outside for anyone who wanted to dine outside during summer.

really enjoyed my evening at this wonderful little restaurant. we were greeted warmly on our arrival and theservicewas excellent. the pizza bases were really thin and crispy...not everybody likes this, but i do :)
all the staff were extremely helpful and i live the decor. felt right at home here and will definitely be back :)

delicious pizzas and woodfired chicken shnitzel are my favourite meals to order. food quality andservice is not always consistent but i find myself visiting often to enjoy their meals. a must try is their mushroom risotto!

italian kitchen has a very cosy, homey feel about it. on entry we were asked to wait on a comfortable and striking red couch while our table was cleared. this was a great change from having to hang around awkwardly close to other diners while waiting. the atmosphere was buzzing as the place was very busy (cycle tour weekend) but it wasn't overpoweringly loud and we could hear each other talk.

theservicestarted off slow but it was totally understandable as we arrived close to the end of what seemed to have been a very busy night for them. the waiter was, however, extremely friendly and knowledgable of the food.

the food has a home-cooked essence to it and can be described as smart comfort food. the portions are huge!

both of us had their chorizo and chicken risotto, which was a special for the night. the dish was complemented with sun dried tomato, cream and chili. it was topped with parmesan and rocket. it was delicious! occasionally, i tasted some kind of mayonnaise which wasn't ideal but the dish as a whole made up for it.

the ice cream cake had melted, so we were offered it on the house, but nevertheless tasted like an ice cream, honeycomb and flake perfection. i can't wait to try the real deal. the chocolate shot was too sweet for us.

looking at the menu, i'd really like to try out their cheesey starter: deep fried camembert and pan-fried halloumi.

their wine list looks pretty extensive and is reasonably priced.

we went here for the convenience of it being on the entertainer app, which means that one of our main meals was free of charge. i would have been happy, however, to pay full price for a really substantial and tasty meal.

this is a lovely little gem for a cosy, relaxed meal. i'll definitely be back to try out some more of the menu.

it has been ages since we last tried this local restuarant mainly because we don't eat pasta or pizza so generally avoid "italian" restaurants! but italian food should be much more than that so we decided to give it another try. we were welcome enthusiastically and given an option of tables. i had the yellow tail which was great, juicy, well grilled and lightly seasoned. michele had the woodfired chicken breast which she enjoyed. theservicewas acceptable ant the setting pleasant.

went here for supper. setup is alright, if you just want to get away from your own kitchen for a bit. food was good, butservicewas overly slow. 1 waiter for the entire restuarant, between meals, you wait a good few minutes before they even ask if you'd like anything else i.e. dessert. layout: the platformed area should be reviewed, staff walk so heavy on the floors, your table shakes, and it gets annoying because they walk on it so often to all the other tables.

started really well with a relaxed jovial atmosphere and a nice warm fire. forgot about drinks for my kids, wine over priced. food was good although we all expected the pasta to be home made not shop bought. let down by the very slackserviceand seemingly no management around. i will give it another try but not in a hurry.

quient little restaurant hidden away. the food is great and the prices are well worth it.serviceis friendly and charming. when busy you can wait a while for your food but most of the time it is not to bad. very cosy and warm atmosphere. it is well worth a visit.

kerb appeal not great driven past hundreds of times and not noticed restaurant.
was invited by friends. what a great restaurant. quaint, smallish greatserviceand fantastic food. being small i suggest you book. just cause its italian dont look past the burgers. i had the lamb and mint burger which is right up there with the best burgers i have had. the pizzas looked good and my wife's risotto was also very good. did not have kids with is so could
not really evaluate their child friendliness. want a good meal try this place
