everyone has that local pizzeria close by, italian kitchen is ours. apparently you get more pizza for your penny if they are square!!! the pizzas are reallygoodand the breakfast special is always a win for the hangover sods who lost their wallets the night before. i also feel the restaurant has not reached its full potential. they have a lovely outside area that is ideal for some type of happy hour in summer! they could also raise the menu prices by r10 if they changed the those table cloths. the decor is prettygoodbut the table cloths give it a slightly off feel.

i visited italian kitchen with a friend on a rainy tuesday afternoon. upon entry, the place seemed very quiet and we only spotted one waiter. we had to seat ourselves and grab our own menus as he seemed very preoccupied.

despite this, the food was quitegoodand reasonably priced. i would definitely return to sample their other pastas and their pizzas. i had a chicken and mushroom type of pasta upon recommendation of the waiter and my friend had the steak.

the decor was understated and cosy. i quite enjoyed the experience as the food spoke volumes.

the meaty pizza certainly lives up to its name and could be one of the best pizzas in cape town. decor and furniture are a little dated, nonetheless, agoodexperience overall.

nice atmosphere,goodfood and the place is very accommodating! the seafood risotto is definitely the best dish i have tried here. cozy and very affordable.

went here for supper. setup is alright, if you just want to get away from your own kitchen for a bit. food was good, but service was overly slow. 1 waiter for the entire restuarant, between meals, you wait agoodfew minutes before they even ask if you'd like anything else i.e. dessert. layout: the platformed area should be reviewed, staff walk so heavy on the floors, your table shakes, and it gets annoying because they walk on it so often to all the other tables.

friends and myself came for dinner as we were wanting some yummy italian cooked food!

on arrival, our waiter was very friendly and attentive. we sat at a large round table which was a nice change compared to the normal square tables.

our food was served quickly and was simply delicious! i had the mushroom risotto- the "ladies portion" which was definitely big enough to make me full! it is a rich dish- so less is better in that case!

my friend order the chicken and spinach pizza- which wasgoodbut lacked some flavor- we felt as if something was missing!

overall it was a really enjoyable and affordable meal!

i really do love this place. wonderful romantic atmosphere, great service,goodwine (good wine is always a winner) and the food was spectacular. the starters are full of flavour and generous in portion. the pastas rich and creamy and will keep you coming back for more, they get a 8/10. i order the kitchen zink (pizza) when i visit, every slice is something different. really yummy! pizza gets 8/10, i visit as often as i can and have yet to be disappointed. will hopefully try something different next time.

this restaurant is like the little girl with the curl in the middle of her forehead - when it'sgoodit's verygoodand when it's bad it's horrid! i've eaten there many times and 95% of the time the food is excellent but every now and then something is just not quite right and the food is disappointing. overall i highly recommend this restaurant for a romantic dinner.

we popped in one night for an early dinner just after they reopened after being closed for renovations.

gorgeous decor but the room was very cold. no heaters or a fireplace. not ideal for winter. can't wait to try it out in summer with the lovely outside seating area.

starters were nothing exceptional, very ordinary. my favourite part of the menu was the many risotto options. i love a restaurant that does agoodrisotto and i was not disappointed! i had the chicken and sundried tomatoe risotto. perfectly cooked with bold flavours. i thoroughly enjoyed the meal.

good service. very tastey and affordable for an easy dinner out. may be our go to local restaurant

started really well with a relaxed jovial atmosphere and a nice warm fire. forgot about drinks for my kids, wine over priced. food wasgoodalthough we all expected the pasta to be home made not shop bought. let down by the very slack service and seemingly no management around. i will give it another try but not in a hurry.

kerb appeal not great driven past hundreds of times and not noticed restaurant.
was invited by friends. what a great restaurant. quaint, smallish great service and fantastic food. being small i suggest you book. just cause its italian dont look past the burgers. i had the lamb and mint burger which is right up there with the best burgers i have had. the pizzas lookedgoodand my wife's risotto was also very good. did not have kids with is so could
not really evaluate their child friendliness. want agoodmeal try this place
