very pleasant and the staff is to a person customer service orientated... very rare in sydney!
prices not too bad considering what you get.... true cafe surroundings with smart attire and quite imaginative food. they deserve their success amid the ripoff merchants.

we had the three course lunch menu and thoroughly enjoyed every course, the flavours were to die for! the wine list was good, also great to see the light beer was cheaper than full strength beer. the service was fantastic as were the surroundings. we will definitely be back.

indigo rates 5 stars with our family. the whole dining experience was fantastic from the moment we walked through the doors. we were escorted to our tables and given enough time to decide and order our food, which was delicious. it was my granddaughters birthday and indigo wished her a happy birthday by free sundaes. would highly recommend a dining experience at indigo.

indigo was great, i went there with my sister and had a really good time. it had brilliant service. i loved it. it was a good atmosphere and the food was delicious i had butter chicken and a sundae and both were so yum! overall great place to go for a nice meal.

excellent service and lovely decor. we had a great meal and the owners really ensured we were satisfied with everything. the lamb shanks are the best there is.
indigos provides excellent indian cuisine. i have eaten at several indian restaurants throughout nz and indigos cannot be beaten

i was down in napier on business from auckland and was very impressed with my lamb nhari. the presentation was fantastic, the flavours were excellent and a there was a pleasant ambiance. all made for a great evening. not to mention the great selection of whisky. couldn't be better! highly recommended. i will definitely be back.

further to my review of january, this restaurant continues to improve from an already high base. they have finished renovations, now expanding to a further room along transvaal. the food and coffee are superior. quality ingredients; excellent preparation and plating; and service very attentive. i really like this place. keep it up!

this cafe would have to be one of the best in the eastern suburbs. oh, to own it!! i regularly savour their delicious food and great coffee. the staff are very friendly , and make sure you are well looked after. today, i ordered a super sized bircher muesli and my colleague, sourdough with vegemite. what was nice, was the staff were willing to serve my coffee in takeaway cups so as to preserve the heat better than serving in a cup.
veritable who's who in double bay. mum and business friendly. great place to be scene.

really good indian food. a bit pricy - but well worth it. staffing is usually friendly and good. like all the places around there - there seems to be a high turn over. this is definitely more upscale in atmosphere and presentation than the other indian places in the bay. probably reflects the english owner -who has a great selection of single malts!

this is one of the best indian restaurants outside of india. i travel the world regularly for business and have also frequented india many times - in most cases i have come away from indian restaurants severely disappointed - i like spicy hot and usually get burning, tasteless hot - but not at indigo. entering the restaurant a bit sceptical i tried a combination of starters and entrées (sharing with my dinner companion) and both the mild and hot offerings were fantastic! this is charcoal cooking as found in india vs. gas found in most indian restaurants outside india and the difference is certainly found in a very worthwhile culinary experience. restaurant atmosphere and decor fits perfectly with napier and prices are very reasonable – especially when considering the gastronomy! the whiskey collection is one of the biggest i have ever seen in a restaurant in new zealand and they also serve kingfisher on tap. whether you like it mild or hot you will struggle to find better indian cuisine anywhere else in the world!

as a local i have breakfast and lunch here often and i've always been happy with the great food and service. they have a big selection and good quality food. the service is usually quite good, the only thing i'd fault them on is that it's a bit pricey but then again they do serve decent portions! would recommend eating here especially on a sunny day sitting outside!

wow, what a fantastic experience and not the usual curry house i am used to! great atmosphere and especially like the fact(i presume) they had created their own winelist without the price being over the top.
the food was fantastic. the samosas are made on site i was told and they were so fresh and tasty. and a great twist on the onion bhajis too. then, the main of lamb jhalfrezee was something i would recommend to anyone. so tender, so good. and the plates were warm!
the presentation of the food was also very creative which left a great impression. we were visiting from christchurch and the meal was so good we went back for lunch the next day!

stopped here for brunch. they were very busy but were able to get us a table without any hassles. i had the green breakie bowl and my partner had the spanish open omelette. they were both very tasty and filling.

came from out of town, saw the eating here and thought we’d give it a try. they accommodated us without a booking and boy were we impressed. fantastic service and the food was absolutely top notch - and we eat a lot of indian. recommend highly

one of the worst indians i have had ! not at all worth it.. you just pay for the ambiance 🙄😡 i would not recommend at all... think twice before you spend.....

made an online booking, half an hour later received a call saying they are all booked out and our table will not be in the restaurant and we will be seated on the couch. that didn’t sound too bad, so we went for it! the table was an extremely uncomfortable very low seating couches with 4 tiny coffee tables joined together. if you don’t have tables, don’t take any online reservations!
no one came for a very long time with menus so i went and got them myself for my table. we placed the order the starter were too pricey for the portions we got. chicken lasooni was quite nice, but the lamb chops were hardly a chop but actually a chip size! the fish was average. for the mains, we quickly found out that the chef definitely hated salt! there was no salt in the chicken noodles, no salt in the dal and none in the balti chicken as well! the chilly cheese garlic naan’s description said it will be sprinkled with chat masala.. there wasn’t even any sightings of seasoning on it! the service was as bad as the food, maybe even worse.. the waitress came in at-least 3-4 times to clear our plates.. twice during starters and twice during mains.. “still eating?” she asked! this was almost just 10 mins after mains were served! appalling! not quick enough to get menus and to serve us but quick enough to try and get rid of us we felt.
