the best indian restaurant in napier city centre. i had malabar prawn curry with steamed rice and a side salad. the portion was quite big and taste was definitely amazing. they also served some free snacks, nice nice!!!

came here today for a quick brunch, and it was absolutely packed. there was a pretty big wait to get a table, and many others were waiting too. the selection of meals, while simple, are made very uniquely. i did not expect my coconut bircher to actually come in a coconut. not only this, but it was fresh and delicious. the other meals were absolute hits among my crowd, and decorated exquisitely. while the prices were pretty disappointing ($20 for french toast?!), the meals were delicious and i would say more of an experience than just a meal.

probably the best breakfast in sydney. for its location, quality and portion sizes the prices are incredibly reasonable. just be prepared to line up and wait for a while to get a table at this popular spot

•service is great and overall a nice place to hang out for brunch with plenty of outdoor seating
•smoked salmon w/ poached eggs on brioche - nice and fresh, eggs are poached perfectly, the brioche was different to your normal brioche, it was like a sweet french toast , delicious!
•cold drip coffee - was average, not very strong
•canadian pancakes - seriously doped, decked 4 pancakes high topped with honeycomb. the bacon was a good break from the sweetness and the fresh mascarpone just made the dish even better

first visit to napier for a long time.  heard that indigo was the place to go to so we did!  lovely setting and you do need to book in advance to guarantee a table.  we picked a thursday night so definitely a booking was required.  extensive entrée menu.  we went for the mixed meat kebab “served to your table in a mini tandoor with mint chutney”.  novel idea and did not disappoint.  succulent tender meat and a nice minted accompaniment.  for mains i tried the bhuna chicken and the off sider went with the lamb korma.  the bhuna was delicious and the korma had a slight star anise flavour (i think) making it stand out from the normal fare found at other indian establishments.  could not fault the meals at all.  again, a good indian restaurant cooking tender morsels of food.  a couple of glasses of wine and a ginger beer all came to just over $90.  while the wine list is extensive the only downside is the limited options available “by the glass”.  despite the wine option we would definitely go again when in napier.

indigo is a regular breakfast spot for my friends and i - they never fail to serve up a great meal, especially the pancakes!! i was a bit disappointed at how long it took to receive menus and order on my last visit, and can never understand why their meals are so costly, but apart from that would recommend always!

the definition of a classic brunch spot. the menu has a wide variety of brunch classics that can be enjoyed by all despite any dietary requirements. the food itself doesn't disappoint - big portions, generous fresh ingredients and light clean flavors. their almond lattes and fresh juices are really good too. it's a place to be seen but doesn't have a particularly pretentious feel. recommend for brunch in double bay, worth the visit while in sydney on holiday even if there is a 10-15 minute wait for a table.

came here for lunch. while there was a queue for tables only had to wait around 15min before being seated. this cafe has an extensive menu lots to choose from. ordered the schnitzel burger: don't know how this is meant to be feasibly eaten as it was huge. had to take a schnitzel piece out of the stack first. i liked the toasted milk bun, crispy schnitzel and juicy pineapple. also tried the guava frappe great for hot summers day. service was good.

finally made it to indigo for breakfast. the perfect setting for a brunch with friends. we managed to get a table outside on the road, much more of a relaxed vibe than inside. ordering the bruschetta (a huge serving) and the poached eggs with sweet potato cakes both meals presented perfectly and very flavorsome. will definitely be back.

clearly the best breakfast and lunch option in double bay. will not be disappointed. only downside is that seems overpriced for breakfast, however considering area and the holistic approach, can be justified. highly recommended.

went for booked dinner as we were on holiday in napier. ordered 7 yr old matusalem rum - but saw the waiter (singh) pouring in coruba rum in my glass. when i requested to have look at the bottle of my ordered drink - he couldn't find it and it took 3 men to find the right bottle. that confirmed what was served to me was not what i had ordered.food - pricey, will find the same quality / quantity in auckland at lower prices in high end indian restaurants. dessert were tasty, full marks for it. absolutely not happy with the service.

great food, london quality (excellent), traditional, clean and flavorful. we did have a little wait on mains but with our two younger kids theirs arrived promptly

this place gets packed on the weekends so make sure you get there early otherwise you risk standing in the sun till a table is free. the breakfast menu is big so plenty to choose from . customer service and food is quick.

indigo enjoys a strategic monopoly in one of sydney's most affluent yet culturally devoid locations, double bay. if you are hungry and 45% of your salary does not go to the ato each year, please avoid. reflected in scarce parking and long queues, the locals love it. we are quickly profiled by the staff: soccer mums? no. latest model bms? no. clumsy parking job? no. that's 0/3 in terms of preferred customer status.standard latte - $4.00.

if you want a good breakfast and people watching then this is the place.

a great selection of dishes from super healthy to just a bit naughty. consistently good quality food. on the upper side of the price spectrum for most but isn't breakfast the most important meal of the day?

don't be put off by the queue. it moves pretty quickly.
