this is an amazing restaurant and well deserving of some of the, "best bbq" recognition that it has received.

we went here on a sunday in december for lunch and only had to deal with a short wait in line. we ordered the "all you can eat" meat plate and a brisket plate. if you order the "all you can eat" plate, you get the added benefit of having someone check to see if they can get more meat for you!!! good deal!

ok, this is the best bbq that we have ever had, highlighted by the moist, delicious, and flavorful brisket. even the leaner cuts of this meat were amazingly tender. the pulled pork was almost as good and didn't need any sauce or condiments to enhance it. turkey, hot links, ham, ribs...everything was great. the sides were above average for a bbq joint and were a welcome addition, but you don't go here for the sides, you go here for the meaty goodness that they can provide.

we paid a little over $35 for everything, which sounds a bit expensive for two people - but well worth it with the "all you can eat" deal. one of our top three restaurants of all time, regardless of food type. just amazing.

eeeexcellent!. my first time last week and wow it was all good. had lunch with ribs, brisket beans and slaw. normally i will find a flaw with one of those dishes. nope! all excellent. at first i thought the sauce was a bit sweet but came around with what came through later on the palate. really good jalapeno cornbread too. i shall return soon.

fantastic bbq!. had opportunity to visit hutchins bbq this week. it was fantastic. the brisket was moist, had great bark and great flavor. the spare ribs were the best i've ever had. i liked them so good, i went back the next day for more!
they are a good selection of sides and a great dessert bar that's included with your meal.
i'll go back....hopefully soon!

the meats stand alone with no sauce necessary. if i had to choose the best i would say that the jalapeño sausage is fantastic! i have tried almost all of their meats and they are all above the average offering.

#15 stop in our texas monthly 50 bbq challenge.

ordered two baked potatoes w/ meat - one each in ham and brisket versions. also ordered jalapeno beans and a thing called a texas twinkie. they have free self-serve bananna pudding, peach cobbler, and soft-serve ice cream when dining in.

they have a rather nice condiments bar that has the tastiest smoked bacon bits you will ever run across. i am pretty sure they produce their own.

the baked potatoes were pretty good sized. they cut off a couple slices of ham, chopped it, and mounded it on top. it was a bunch of meat adding about $5.00 to the price so the total was $8.99. the brisket model was done the same way.

the jalapeno beans were quite tasty with enough seasoning to make you notice that these didn't come from some plastic pouch warmed in hot water.

the texas twinkie is a good sized jalapeno, seeded with the membrane removed, loaded with cream cheese and smoked brisket, wrapped up in bacon, rubbed with a sweet rub, and smoked. it ends up appearing like it is wrapped in candied bacon. all the flavors meld to produce a fantastic creation.

the free bananna pudding and peach cobbler was much better than what we paid for it (grin). in fact it was good enough you might want to order some to take home. not a bad perk for dining in.

my first experiences with barbecue in texas. ribs are unbelievable -- tender meat that falls off the bones. highly recommended. macaroni and cheese, corn bread, and mashed potatoes are all great.

very good bbq. the ribs do fall off the bones as promised. the texas twinkies; jalapeños stuffed with brisket, and cream cheese and wrapped in bacon are amazing. i liked the corn bread better than the roll. the mac n cheese was delicious and the mashed potatoes had bacon and cheese. yum! the peach cobbler for dessert was very good too. it was worth the 45 minute wait at 3 pm on a saturday.

amazing, succulent, juicy tender meats - yum yum yum!

haven't tried anything i didn't like. well, then again, i had the same thing 2 days in a row. yes, 2 days in a row and i'm not even into bbq. swear. but those ribs are fall off the bone tender and when paired w/ the mustard vinegar sauce...magical. hot apple cider is warm. friend said it tasted like apple pie. can't vouch for that because i've never had apple pie.

i'm solely grading the amount of time it takes just to get food in hand. this is consistently outrageous. it takes me a lot going time to convince myself to go back, simply for the very frustrating time it takes to place an order. no sense of urgency, usually one.5 people slowly raking ordera. it's absolutely maddening. don't ever go for lunch if on limited time. by that i absolutely mean it will take more than an hour, easy, to get on and out of there, 80% of that being waiting to order. this is not a one time occur ancestors, it's all the time.

omg! i had heard it was terrific and it was. the brisket and ribs are to die for! i got the all you can eat but should have stuck with 2 meats as i couldn't finish 3 meats much less get more. cheddar jalapeño sausage was just okay. texas twinkie (stuffed jalapeño with brisket and cream cheese wrapped in bacon smoked and lightly coated in bbq sauce) was outstanding! on the downside the serve pepsi not coke and didn't have diet coke available by bottle either.

i have eaten at hutchins bbq many times over the years. my work colleagues and i eat here at least once every two and a half weeks or so. if you ever get a chance, get the all you can eat barbecue meal. go on saturday so you don't have to go back to work when you're done! i think i ate one serving of practically everything they have, and it was all good! the brisket is amazing, and the ribs are done really well. like all bbq joints, they are not cheap, and they have raised their prices a little since being named to that top 50 list of bbq joints a couple of years ago. go early because it gets crowded, and you may have to stand in line for a while if you get there late. also, the one in mckinney is much better than the one in frisco in my opinion. in mckinney they sell everything by the plate with the sides, but in frisco they sell it by the quarter pound, half pound, and pound, and then you order the sides separately ( it always seems to be more expensive that way). and to top it all off, you get free banana pudding, ice cream, and peach cobbler! choose hutchins over spring creek bbq every time.

first time here so i ordered my usual: lean brisket, moist brisket and since everyone was getting them in front of me, the ribs.

ribs, st. louis style, were overcooked and kind of boring. but the brisket, oh my: the moist slices melted in my mouth and with great flavor (not overtly smokey, just smokey enough). lean wasn't too far either, not dry at all.

the broccoli salad was equally amazing.

iced tea was perfect: i did not know the desserts are free so i indulged. peach pie was delicious, banana pudding was a little weird for me.
