hutchins bbq

great food - great experience. we stopped by due to the line all the out the front door. it was totally worth the wait! the meat is charred perfectly outside and nice and juicy. very well could be the best bbq in dallas. ribs are to die for! next time we go i am getting a full rack and not sharing lol. order the sliced beef lean though, it was fatty and we had to get it replaced, but they fixed us right up and have servers that check on you throughout the meal. great teamwork and the banana pudding and peach cobbler were yum. do not miss out on this place!

best bbq. this restaurant not only has some of the best bbq i have ever tasted but it's family friendly, with staff members that amazing and kind. anytime i go to a bbq place i miss hutchinson

good food. the food here was very good i tried just about everything the menu. the ladies in the seating area are fantastic it is a shame the people at the counter were not they seemed more intersted talking amongst themselves thst was very rude and unprofessional!!!

the texas monthly crew definitely made a good call including this place in their list of immaculate texas barbecue.

mmmmm eh. during our visit from halifax, nova scotia, canada we made time experience some true bbq and i am so pleased to have eaten here at hutchins. the brisket was awesome, the ribs were just perfect, the smoked turkey had great flavour and the occasional menu item: the bacon wrapped jalapino was freeking awesome. the staff were super friendly. (thanks day) it is a little rough around the edges, so no need to wear your sunday best, just dig in and enjoy. cheryl & ben gillespie

great food! mac-n-cheese was delicious! the banana pudding is to die for! it's a bit pricey but so worth it!

that was tasty. i love barbeque. i think we all do. and it's always hard to find good barbeque. i mean the barbeque that makes you come back for more. that's hutchins. when i finished eating my brisket sandwich, i was already planning my next trip there. they asked if i wanted lean brisket or marbled, or a mix. the only thing i would criticize is the spicy barbeque sauce. it needs more spice. maybe some serrano peppers would do the trick. other than that, the food was delicious, right down to the toasted bun. that was some awfully good bread too. i'll certainly be going back - very soon.

  hutchins is very close to our church and it is a perfect place to have sunday lunch. the hutchins family also owns randy white's hall of fame barbecue in frisco.  although they have a slightly different menu, their meat is commendable as well. menu board even thought i had eaten barbecue the previous day, i accepted my father-in-laws invitation to go to hutchins after church on sunday.   this was the first time i had been to hutchins since early may and i noticed there was a much larger crowd than usual at 11:15 a.m.  it looks like the review in texas monthly has caused their business to pick up considerably.  hutchins has a large variety of meats and sides to choose from, so i always have a tough time deciding.  on this particular day, i

fav bbq place. i have always been a huge fan of hutchins bbq!! very filling meal and enjoy every bit of it. my husband is not a fan of bbq at all and he finally tried it and loves it!!!! the atmosphere inside is wonderful too and very down home!!!

place needs some work. the bbq meats are great. the sides are ok although i would prefer not to have had them. i thought after the fire they would have spent some time cleaning the place up but i guess not. it feels like it needs a good cleaning and some updating.

will order bar b q the next time. this restaurant is located on the north side of the downtown area of mckinney. there is parking on the lot plus there is a drive thru. upon entering the restaurant you will find a self service line where you order bar b q or catfish. we ordered the catfish. for five very small pieces the price is $10.95 which we consider somewhat on the high side. you serve yourself two side dishes and frankly the serving line was not all that full of items and some were almost gone even though it was only 6pm. the green beans were loaded with salt; however the cold slaw and potato salad were good. you seat yourself in a table located in what we thought was a maze of rooms. after eating there is a desert bar which had pudding and soft serve ice cream. there was to have been peach cobbler however we were told it was being prepared. after waiting some 15 minutes the cobbler showed up and we wished we had just moved on. have no idea what the cobbler was topped with. all in all we did no have the best dining experience tonight. the rest room could stand some cleaning as could the parking lot.

i went to hutchins for the first time yesterday and i would have to say its the best bbq resturant ever! the place was warm and friendly, the chopped beef sandwich was amazing and the peach cobbler was to die for!
