this is an amazing restaurant and well deserving of some of the, "best bbq" recognition that it has received.

we went here on a sunday in december for lunch and only had to deal with a short wait in line. we ordered the "all you can eat" meat plate and abrisketplate. if you order the "all you can eat" plate, you get the added benefit of having someone check to see if they can get more meat for you!!! good deal!

ok, this is the best bbq that we have ever had, highlighted by the moist, delicious, and flavorful brisket. even the leaner cuts of this meat were amazingly tender. the pulled pork was almost as good and didn't need any sauce or condiments to enhance it. turkey, hot links, ham, ribs...everything was great. the sides were above average for a bbq joint and were a welcome addition, but you don't go here for the sides, you go here for the meaty goodness that they can provide.

we paid a little over $35 for everything, which sounds a bit expensive for two people - but well worth it with the "all you can eat" deal. one of our top three restaurants of all time, regardless of food type. just amazing.

eeeexcellent!. my first time last week and wow it was all good. had lunch with ribs, brisketbeans and slaw. normally i will find a flaw with one of those dishes. nope! all excellent. at first i thought the sauce was a bit sweet but came around with what came through later on the palate. really good jalapeno cornbread too. i shall return soon.

fantastic bbq!. had opportunity to visit hutchins bbq this week. it was fantastic. thebrisketwas moist, had great bark and great flavor. the spare ribs were the best i've ever had. i liked them so good, i went back the next day for more!
they are a good selection of sides and a great dessert bar that's included with your meal.
i'll go back....hopefully soon!

#15 stop in our texas monthly 50 bbq challenge.

ordered two baked potatoes w/ meat - one each in ham andbrisketversions. also ordered jalapeno beans and a thing called a texas twinkie. they have free self-serve bananna pudding, peach cobbler, and soft-serve ice cream when dining in.

they have a rather nice condiments bar that has the tastiest smoked bacon bits you will ever run across. i am pretty sure they produce their own.

the baked potatoes were pretty good sized. they cut off a couple slices of ham, chopped it, and mounded it on top. it was a bunch of meat adding about $5.00 to the price so the total was $8.99. thebrisketmodel was done the same way.

the jalapeno beans were quite tasty with enough seasoning to make you notice that these didn't come from some plastic pouch warmed in hot water.

the texas twinkie is a good sized jalapeno, seeded with the membrane removed, loaded with cream cheese and smoked brisket, wrapped up in bacon, rubbed with a sweet rub, and smoked. it ends up appearing like it is wrapped in candied bacon. all the flavors meld to produce a fantastic creation.

the free bananna pudding and peach cobbler was much better than what we paid for it (grin). in fact it was good enough you might want to order some to take home. not a bad perk for dining in.

omg! i had heard it was terrific and it was. thebrisketand ribs are to die for! i got the all you can eat but should have stuck with 2 meats as i couldn't finish 3 meats much less get more. cheddar jalapeño sausage was just okay. texas twinkie (stuffed jalapeño withbrisketand cream cheese wrapped in bacon smoked and lightly coated in bbq sauce) was outstanding! on the downside the serve pepsi not coke and didn't have diet coke available by bottle either.

i have eaten at hutchins bbq many times over the years. my work colleagues and i eat here at least once every two and a half weeks or so. if you ever get a chance, get the all you can eat barbecue meal. go on saturday so you don't have to go back to work when you're done! i think i ate one serving of practically everything they have, and it was all good! thebrisketis amazing, and the ribs are done really well. like all bbq joints, they are not cheap, and they have raised their prices a little since being named to that top 50 list of bbq joints a couple of years ago. go early because it gets crowded, and you may have to stand in line for a while if you get there late. also, the one in mckinney is much better than the one in frisco in my opinion. in mckinney they sell everything by the plate with the sides, but in frisco they sell it by the quarter pound, half pound, and pound, and then you order the sides separately ( it always seems to be more expensive that way). and to top it all off, you get free banana pudding, ice cream, and peach cobbler! choose hutchins over spring creek bbq every time.

first time here so i ordered my usual: lean brisket, moistbrisketand since everyone was getting them in front of me, the ribs.

ribs, st. louis style, were overcooked and kind of boring. but the brisket, oh my: the moist slices melted in my mouth and with great flavor (not overtly smokey, just smokey enough). lean wasn't too far either, not dry at all.

the broccoli salad was equally amazing.

iced tea was perfect: i did not know the desserts are free so i indulged. peach pie was delicious, banana pudding was a little weird for me.

this is without a doubt the best bbq i can remember eating. i miss so much living in oklahoma for texas style bbq with salt and pepper rub, good pinto bean and banana pudding to finish off. was driving from tulsa to san antonio and looked up bbq places off hwy 75 and hutchins was rated best so we stopped to give it a try. boy glad we did. had a sample of theirbrisketand sausage together and i was sold. love a place where you see them pull the meat out of the hot box then slice it in front of you.

amazing food!! ... the flavour was soo good that my face involuntarily smiled as soon as i had my first bite ... the char on the meat coupled with the beautifully cooked meat itself was just a treat in every bite ... thebrisketwas amazing that you could cut it with a spoon ... the ribs were a little uneven with some cooked better than some others ... but pour on that generous bbq sauce and let the explosions in your mouth take you down the habit hole into wonderland ... huge queues can be expected so my suggestion is that if you live near by, use the drive thru

first trip to hutchins and ordered the two-meat plate (brisket & ribs) with green beans and fried okra as the 2 sides. thebrisketwas fantastic (as good as stanley's bbq in tyler) and the ribs were excellent. prices we reasonable given the portion sizes. fully recommend hutchins!

relocating to texas has been quite amazing in regards to bbq amongst a lot of other reasons, but the bbq is stellar. obviously, i do not have the knowledge, expertise or shear number of bbq joints tried as many who have lived here their whole lives, but hutchins in my early leader.

brisket- sometimesbrisketis too smoky to me or too tough, but hutchins makes abrisketthat is just unreal and i actually crave it. so tender. nice and salty and the fat just melts in your mouth.

pulled pork- nice and tender, good seasoning

smoked stuffed jalapenos withbrisketand cream cheese wrapped in bacon- sounds pretty basic, but the flavor profiles of this just pop in your mouth and bring together a perfect meld of flavors, so delicious.

potato salad- house-made and delicious with a hint of dill.

mac n cheese- nice and cheesy with flecks of bacon dotted throughout.

in closing, i love coming here and if you haven't been you definitely need to try it. it looks like i am in line with a lot of other people feelings by the sight of positive reviews.

lynnc. was there for lunch today at 12:30. wanted baked potato. they were out. i then ordered two meat plate. carver had a little piece ofbrisketend. it looked dry with no fat on it, so i asked for fresher brisket. he looked at me with a disgusted look and said he would look for another brisket. then i told him i wanted ribs as my second meat. he told me i would have to wait as they didn't have any ready at that time, but when they were ready he would have them delivered to my table. again with that look. i was walking away when another carver showed up with ribs. he cut three little end pieces of the ribs and served them to me again with that look. my wife and i had been counting the ribs other diners received and they were receiving 4 to 5 ribs on their orders. i asked the cashier about this and she told me that it goes by weight. the carver never used a scale. went to get peach cobbler at about 1:14 and they were out of it and banana pudding as well. i asked an employee and she said they would not be serving any more.
i will say the ribs andbrisketwere ok.
you would think that on a friday they would be better prepared. there was a line out the door when we left.
as for the attitude of the carver that was just wrong.
we will think twice about returning.

there was only a short line to wait in before we got to the counter where they served up the various meats.  we got into some small talk with one of the guys regarding people from new york – no, not all of them are rude, but stinks that he came across one that was.  all meats were hot and ready, we made sure of this by getting there within an hour of opening!  all sides were available as well, they did a good job of replenishing those items that were running low.  it appears that when you get the “all you can eat” meat you also get a lady who checks on your table to see if they can get you more!!  good deal and unexpected!   service:  4 / 5 nom:  when we arrived there was a short line and the guys cutting the meat were really friendly.  i agree…it’s too bad they ran into one rude dude from ny, i hope om was able to show them that he was the exception (not a good exception) and not the norm!!  i asked forbrisketand they were going to open a whole new one for me!!  they didn’t because i saw the parts i wanted right there on the cutting block.  which was a good experience because they actually listened to what i wanted and that was totally cool!!!!  so om got the all you can eat and a nice lady came around to check on him and brought him whatever he needed or wanted.  i was really impressed!!  service:  4/5 food om:   ok, i’m not the biggest bbq guy in the world…but my oh my.  want to know when a place is good?  when you crave their food the next day and go back for more.  and after that visit, you crave their food yet  again  the day af
