hutchins bbq

fantastic bbq!. had opportunity to visithutchinsbbq this week. it was fantastic. the brisket was moist, had great bark and great flavor. the spare ribs were the best i've ever had. i liked them so good, i went back the next day for more!
they are a good selection of sides and a great dessert bar that's included with your meal.
i'll go back....hopefully soon!

i have eaten athutchinsbbq many times over the years. my work colleagues and i eat here at least once every two and a half weeks or so. if you ever get a chance, get the all you can eat barbecue meal. go on saturday so you don't have to go back to work when you're done! i think i ate one serving of practically everything they have, and it was all good! the brisket is amazing, and the ribs are done really well. like all bbq joints, they are not cheap, and they have raised their prices a little since being named to that top 50 list of bbq joints a couple of years ago. go early because it gets crowded, and you may have to stand in line for a while if you get there late. also, the one in mckinney is much better than the one in frisco in my opinion. in mckinney they sell everything by the plate with the sides, but in frisco they sell it by the quarter pound, half pound, and pound, and then you order the sides separately ( it always seems to be more expensive that way). and to top it all off, you get free banana pudding, ice cream, and peach cobbler! choosehutchinsover spring creek bbq every time.

this is without a doubt the best bbq i can remember eating. i miss so much living in oklahoma for texas style bbq with salt and pepper rub, good pinto bean and banana pudding to finish off. was driving from tulsa to san antonio and looked up bbq places off hwy 75 andhutchinswas rated best so we stopped to give it a try. boy glad we did. had a sample of their brisket and sausage together and i was sold. love a place where you see them pull the meat out of the hot box then slice it in front of you.

definitely one of the best barbecue places in the north dallas area. i have been coming here for over four years (before and after the fire forced a temporary closure!) andhutchinshas been consistently good the entire time. we've waited in line for 4 hours at franklin's in austin, and while that is amazing, our hometown joint ofhutchinsis still worthy to be mentioned in the same conversation as franklin's and pecan lodge.

the quality is the same dine-in or take out, but i always recommend eating there if it's your first time.

first trip tohutchinsand ordered the two-meat plate (brisket & ribs) with green beans and fried okra as the 2 sides. the brisket was fantastic (as good as stanley's bbq in tyler) and the ribs were excellent. prices we reasonable given the portion sizes. fully recommend hutchins!

relocating to texas has been quite amazing in regards to bbq amongst a lot of other reasons, but the bbq is stellar. obviously, i do not have the knowledge, expertise or shear number of bbq joints tried as many who have lived here their whole lives, buthutchinsin my early leader.

brisket- sometimes brisket is too smoky to me or too tough, buthutchinsmakes a brisket that is just unreal and i actually crave it. so tender. nice and salty and the fat just melts in your mouth.

pulled pork- nice and tender, good seasoning

smoked stuffed jalapenos with brisket and cream cheese wrapped in bacon- sounds pretty basic, but the flavor profiles of this just pop in your mouth and bring together a perfect meld of flavors, so delicious.

potato salad- house-made and delicious with a hint of dill.

mac n cheese- nice and cheesy with flecks of bacon dotted throughout.

in closing, i love coming here and if you haven't been you definitely need to try it. it looks like i am in line with a lot of other people feelings by the sight of positive reviews.

terrific welcome to texas!. our daughter brought us tohutchinslast week...hadn't yet had bbq since arriving from asheville, nc the week before. did not disappoint! the ribs are to die for...lots of meat, big smoke ring, dry rub excellent. everything we tried was delicious. byob and we came prepared...even brought our own beer bottle opener as they didn't have one the last time my daughter was in. finished it off with the free banana pudding. great night.

yummy, yummy bbq. i love to cook at home, but have to admit it, i preferhutchinsbrisket over my own recipe. tasty ribs, love the broccoli salad and macaroni and green beans and turkey. yum! give it a try, your tummy will thank you.

april. we have been going tohutchinsfor some 30 years now and i would never go anywhere else for bbq!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it has only gotten better over the years with the ribs "to die for" and great catfish!!

hutchins bar b-q is the best bar b q you will ever eat!!! it has been down since the fire in june and i can't wait for it to reopen!!! omg... i am starving for their ribs and catfish!!! if you have not visitedhutchinsyou must try it!! it is suppose to reopen at the end of october. can't wait

hungry mama. absolutely the best bbq in texas!!!!!!!!! the ribs are to die for!! and the catfish...omg... you can't find any better anywhere!!! a small town family owned for 35 years that takes a lot pride in the quality of their food. their sides are also great. just need to work on the peach cobbler. i will not go anywhere else for bbq except for hutchins. it's the best ever!!!!

april blackwell. hutchin's bbq has the absolute best bbq in the whole world!!! their ribs are to die for!!! the best i have ever eaten!!! and their catfish!!! omg!! you have to try it!!
i have eaten at dickies, colter's, springcreek and many more. there has not been one that compares to hutchin's!!!

 hutchinsis very close to our church and it is a perfect place to have sunday lunch. thehutchinsfamily also owns randy white's hall of fame barbecue in frisco.  although they have a slightly different menu, their meat is commendable as well. menu board even thought i had eaten barbecue the previous day, i accepted my father-in-laws invitation to go tohutchinsafter church on sunday.   this was the first time i had been tohutchinssince early may and i noticed there was a much larger crowd than usual at 11:15 a.m.  it looks like the review in texas monthly has caused their business to pick up considerably. hutchinshas a large variety of meats and sides to choose from, so i always have a tough time deciding.  on this particular day, i

fav bbq place. i have always been a huge fan ofhutchinsbbq!! very filling meal and enjoy every bit of it. my husband is not a fan of bbq at all and he finally tried it and loves it!!!! the atmosphere inside is wonderful too and very down home!!!

i went tohutchinsfor the first time yesterday and i would have to say its the best bbq resturant ever! the place was warm and friendly, the chopped beef sandwich was amazing and the peach cobbler was to die for!

hello consumer,hutchinsbbq and .grill is the best bbq restaurant in all of texas. urbanspoon is posting and reporting on this website thathutchinsbbq has gone out of business. this statement is 100% false. the restaurant had a small fire in june of 2012. do to the fire, the owner " tim hutchins" made the decision that because he was already making some small remodeling changes to the restaurant, when the fire happend he would just close the doors to the famoushutchinsbbq that has been serving the great people of mckinney and the dallas- fort worth area sence 1978 so that he could make the restaurant bigger and better then ever to be able to support the outrageous demand for all the restaurants customers to be able to just sit with there familys and friends and enjoy the great bbq that they have mastered and perfected all these years. the restaurant is still taking catering orders and is doing everything thay can do to help and support there customers. the greathutchinsbbq should be reopening in october. i was able to talk to the owner one day when i was driving by and he happend to be there the other day and this is how i found out all this info. so as for the the best bbq in texas being out of business, this is not true11111111 thank goodness! and to all. involved in the remodel, god bless and we can't whait utill the pits are fired back up and the door back open.
