quite the experience. humpy's was listed as one of the top restaurants anywhere in the u.s., and while i think that may be a bit of a stretch, i would agree that it is quite the experience. the beer selection is unbelievable, and i've never had a bad meal here. yes, it is definitely a bar, but don't think that you're going to be served the standard bar food. and don't be mistaken, it is one busy place that packs out frequently, soservicecan slow down from time to time. that's the price you pay for hanging in a place that excels in food, spirits and live entertainment. you have a handful of bad reviews for a place that is often "standing room only".......you do the math.

i've eaten here plenty of time and every time it's been enjoyable. yeah sometimes it's really busy and theservicecan slow down, but it's never been anything to complain about! huge beer selection & and great food. everything i've ordered has been awesome, no complaints from any of my experiences there!

loved it!. in anchorage one night in transit from australia it was recommended that we come here. we loved it! food was nice but theservicewas great. our waitress bonnie was fantastic, had the gift of the gab. well done!

what happened humpy's? we came for the pyramid ale (no longer served), halibut tacos (good, but somewhat overcooked), smoked salmon spread ('ok'-it was more cream cheese than we remembered, and less large pieces of smoked salmon - more processed looking) and calamari (fantastic!!! some of the most tender calamari we've had!). we were happy to visit, but must admit that the food wasn't as good as we remembered and the prices had increased substantially. atmosphere was as great as we remembered, but unfortunately there's no live music on thursdays. ourservicewas really great: friendly and fast. this would still be a good place to grab local brews and apps on the weekend.

this place was average theservicewas not good and very slow. the food was ok at best. don't order the halibut tacos ! nor the omlets. the food was cold. we complained and nothing was done.

greatserviceby folks who were moderately friendly. nice atmosphere. beers were delicious!we really enjoyed their take on clam chowder and calamari  dinner tastes great.  i would recommend giving this place a try.

the tiger prawns & lightly breaded cod were very good, & while the french fries were freezer-to-fryer (not our preference for sure) they were fried crispy as ordered. the highballs were of good potency, & the berry crisp a la mode was as advertised (very good).

anna provided superiorserviceconsidering how jammed & noisy the place was. $59 (incl tip) for two bourbons n' sprites, prawns, cod, & crisp

love the beer selection, especially what's on tap. it's often busy and that makes it quite noisy and often hard to find a table.serviceis usually good, but not always. i love their food, but it seems a bit expensive for many of their items.

great atmosphere and awesome customerservicelove the new rewards program  definitely somewhere to enjoy weekly!!!serviceis quick and food is presented well, they are also great with beverage knowledge staff is very well trained

while this bar leans a bit toward the tourist trap end of the spectrum the food is really good. i have been here a couple of times now and the fish is always fresh and the meals have been consistent. the only downside is theserviceis pretty slow and the staff is not very attentive. the food is still worth the wait and it has me coming back.

humpy's always has very good food and a fun atmosphere. we have fresh salmon over rice that was as delicious as any i've every had. theserviceis friendly and attentive but never oppressive or scripted. relaxed, fun, affordable and always high quality, we love going to humpy's.

humpy's great alaskan alehouse. the lobster/crab roll sandwich was very tasty with the toasted bun.
they were also giving away prizes as it was board night.

busy, hard to get a table, butserviceand food is great. when catching a show at the arts center, humpy's is the best location for a beer and bite beforehand. get there with time to spare as they're always busy. but, as to be expected when the food is tasty and beer selection is pretty vast.
