great food!. humpy's has greatfoodand great atmosphere! good place to watch football on sundays while having a bloody mary!

they can shove it!. no idea about thefoodbut the old west fight for a seat mentality is old and un-needed in todays society. i have never had such a horrible experience. no qualityfoodcan change the 45 minute wait just to have our table stolen literally by 3 yahoos who seemed to enjoy the fact that our party was civilized and they were morons! the management needs to get a ticket a wheel and hire a greeter t at least let people know what they are in for. disgust and this place had such high hopes.!

i agree woth the fogjt for a seat complaint. ot is absolutely stupid, and frankly rude to patrons, that one can't be seated by a server like every other restaurant on earth. staking out tables and hovering around while people eat is the only option if you want to have dinner. thefoodis good though. but triple check your bill. i've been overcharged there too often to think it a coincidence.

loved it!. in anchorage one night in transit from australia it was recommended that we come here. we loved it!foodwas nice but the service was great. our waitress bonnie was fantastic, had the gift of the gab. well done!

what happened humpy's? we came for the pyramid ale (no longer served), halibut tacos (good, but somewhat overcooked), smoked salmon spread ('ok'-it was more cream cheese than we remembered, and less large pieces of smoked salmon - more processed looking) and calamari (fantastic!!! some of the most tender calamari we've had!). we were happy to visit, but must admit that thefoodwasn't as good as we remembered and the prices had increased substantially. atmosphere was as great as we remembered, but unfortunately there's no live music on thursdays. our service was really great: friendly and fast. this would still be a good place to grab local brews and apps on the weekend.

terrible customer service. i have been coming to humpy's since they opened in anchorage over 20 years ago. it has always been a big favorite of both mine and my hubby. we both enjoy a really good beer and appreciate a good beer selection. my hubby and i actually had our 1st date at humpy's 19.5 years ago--we went to humpy's for beers after seeing a great white concert at the egan. we move to kona on the big island of hawaii from 2004-2011 and were so excited when they opened in the old hard rock location on ali'i drive. we were there on opening night and so happy to see an alaska company we loved come to kona! life and careers haven't allowed us to visit humpy's much since we moved back, so i was really excited that i recently started a job (last week) two blocks away. today, i had very limited time with many meetings but didn't bring my own lunch. i thought finally...i can order from humpy's!! i looked at their online menu and called up for a cheeseburger.... first, the phone rang and rang. i had almost given up when someone answered. i gave my pick-up order and was told it would be 15 minutes. i had someone come to my office and talk with me so i didn't get out of the office to pick up thefoodfor about 25 minutes. i was thinking it would be a quick jump in and grab thefoodsince it was past the time they gave me for the pick up order. approaching from the rear, i was told to go to the bar and they would have my food. after trying hard to get the bartenders attention, i told him i had a pick-up order. i handed over my credit card and he went to the machine and ran it but didn't go check on the food. he just came over and said it wasn't ready--how do you know this if you don't even check with the kitchen. it was obvious that he had not put in the order, and yes he was the one on the phone i originally put the order in with.. i kept thinking ok, well thefoodwill be good. after hangin for 15 minutes and really needing to go back to work, i went to the bar and asked the bartender how much longer would it be since i was short on time and had specifically called in the order to save time--the response was an attitude of "i am not cooking it. so i don't know." by the time i got my food, it was over 45 minutes since i called in the order. what did i get? a dry burger that had little flavor, terrible service, with a bartender with major attitude, and a big waste of my time. a 20+ year love affair--done!

this place was average the service was not good and very slow. thefoodwas ok at best. don't order the halibut tacos ! nor the omlets. thefoodwas cold. we complained and nothing was done.

fun place. great burger and frye joint but also a lot of local flavors as well. very clean and great service. foodarrived quickly. prices ok but huge portions. reindeer from local vendor was excellent. was there with 8 others and we were all pleased.

the trolly tour guide recommended it.foodwas excellent. i loved their blue berry salad and halibut. my daughter enjoyed their samon soup. atmosphere was one of a sport bar and we didn't care for that.

humpy's is first and foremost a bar.  so if you're not into the bar scene and don't enjoy eating while surrounded by a lot of noise and people who have imbibed a wee bit too much, it's not your kind of place.  which is one of the reasons why it's been ages since i've visited humpy's.   the primary reason i no longer visit is thefoodseemed to take a downturn the last couple of times we visited.  their halibut fish fry has always been one of my favorites in town but the last two visits it was flavorless and mushy.  same with their other dishes - they all seemed to be cooked by someone who could only follow a recipe and had no cooking skill.  we can find plenty of places in town where thefoodis much better and the atmosphere is more enjoyable.  i'm giving it 3.5 stars for past enjoyment of their fish fry and for those who enjoy the loud obnoxious bar atmosphere more than i.  that group would probably enjoy the experience enough to overlook the sub-par food.

greatfoodand service, also has really friendly customers. sit at the bar and chat away to follow travellers or locals. watch out for jacob's cunning stunts behind the bar 😉

i enjoy coming to humpy's time and time again because it always has a great atmosphere and thefoodis delicious! no matter who our server is, we get plenty of attention and ourfoodcomes out in a timely manner. it's one of my favorite bars to visit in downtown anchorage for food, feels truly alaskan.you can't make reservations as far as i'm aware. but with that knowledge, we always show up a bit earlier than we plan to eat in case we need to look for a table because seating is first come, first serve. but it works out.

humpy's is a must stop every time we are in anchorage.  fabulousfoodand drinks!   looking forward to trying humpy's in kona this spring!!!

local beers, great staff, thefoodis excellent, live music, they even have a build your own bloody mary bar that i have yet to try. during the summer it is hard to find a table at certain hours because of tourist though and they don't take reservations, but that is just a good sign of how great they are.
