huey's on the river

well dinner salad was great. spinach dip was great crawfish not fresh, ceasar salad was so so. overall would not come back.

a bit of nola in savannah! everything on the menu is great, but the beignets, shrimp & grits and french onion soup are out favorite. great place to go when we are homesick for new orleans :)

huey's on the river is a treasure. the shrimp and grits are the best. i recommend anyone in savannah to go to huey's.

beignet heaven. this was a great location, great food and good atmosphere. we started the evening out with a half dozen oysters, and some great cornbread they provide. we had the shrimp and grits for dinner and it was a great southern meal. it came with an awesome salad as well. they topped the dinner off with a dish we have never had before which was beignet. this was an excellent way to finish an already incredible meal. we ended up going back the second night just for dessert. we would definitely go back here when we visit this city again.

the beignets and coffee were amazing. the rest of our food was decent, but nothing special in and of itself (creole omelette, eggs benedict).

the atmosphere, salad and cornbread were all good but everything else was lacking. the etoufee hardly tasted like etoufee and had to be doused with hotsauce to get it even remotely spicey. it wasn't a bad meal but for the price and the ratings on here i would have expected much, much better.

we just came in for the weekend i have my dog and we where looking to eat so great food. as we sat outside the staff brought a bowl of water for my dog and great jumbalaya! if you are looking for great food and wonderful service it's your place

best place in savannah. the food here is amazing! my wife and i were visiting the city for our first anniversary. we tried a lot of different restaurants based on the recommendations of our friends. after most of them pretty much sucked, we decided to stop here after walking down the river. so glad we did! their was a short wait before we were seated infront of the open windows with a view of the water (all the tables have a great view). we started off with the binettes which are the ebst my wife has ever had since new orleans. my first taste of them, so obviously they were the best i have ever had. we actually ordered more after our meal. i had the eggs benedict, while she had a chicken sandwich. both were prepared perfectly. anyone who loves eggs benedict like i do knows how hard it is to find a place that poaches eggs correctly. huey's did just that. the next time we are in savannah, we will be eating here at least twice more!

very good food - turkey mushroom sandwich was outstanding. very busy and crowded the weekend we were there, but the bloody marys more than made up for it. definitely worth a visit while wandering river street. two thumbs up.

ambience is really laid back. the cup of gumbo was satisfying but the cornbread is too soft and crumbly, although it has good flavor. the shrimp etoufee was too tomato-ey and barely tasted like roux at all. the shrimp and crab au gratin was greasy and not creamy enough. they should use a cheese that melts a little better than straight cheddar.

good spot for brunch. bienets and benedict both good.

best brunch. best meal i had in savannah by far. go for the crabcakes benedict and you won't be disappointed. beignets rival café du monde in new orleans. plan on waiting for your table, but the service was fast, the waitress knowledgeable about their dishes, and located in a great part of river road.

good place. got the shrimp pasta, it was good, a little pricey but you pay for the spot. i'd go back
