we are most recently moved from fl to kentucky, and were looking for homemade american comfort food. their "famous" or "best" of fried chicken was average, the parkette in lexington and yoder's in sarasota both far out do it. it was not worth the $11.00. the meatloaf was okay but i am very picky abt meatloaf. this meatloaf was too bready and gravy was packet made and it was not worth $11.00. their banana pie though was fantastic! but learned only their creme pies are made in house, the fruit or cheesecake are bought. we also found out that the turkey for the open faced sandwich is bought deli style, not home-cooked and then served. so for two experienced foodies, my husband and i felt that they just have given up on their food and the restaurant. it could've soooo much better if everything was homemade. also the men's' bathroom smelled terrible and the women's' had one stall that didn't lock and has a large gap facing the door so anyone walking in can see you. there were no paper towels to dry your hands either. we suggest a bathroom remodel. it doesn't need to be expensive just clean, utilitarian and simple.
