another trip to hitching post to get their amazing fried chicken. while you have to wait a little while for them to make it, nothing beats their piping hot, perfectly cooked chicken. the wait is so worth it, and their friendly staff makes every trip enjoyable

good food. hitching post has the best fried chicken in the city!!!! i love that they don't prepare it until you order it. it is always fresh and delicious. i can't get past the fried chicken, i always go in prepared to try some of their other foods, and i end up getting the fried chicken. it is just that good!!!!

good food. hitching post has the best fried chicken in the city!!! i love that they don't prepare the chicken until you place your order. it is well worth the wait to have deliciously hot fried chicken. i haven't been able to eat anything else i go in planning to try something different and i end up getting the fried chicken.

never lets you down. sometimes a destination and sometimes just a place that everyone can agree to. chicken is excellent, sandwiches are very good, entrees are also good. staff is always welcoming. also, a great place to go for breakfast.

good food at a reasonable price.. never been let down by this place. so much better than fast food but honestly pretty comparable in price. treat yourself to a blt with hard boiled egg.

good home cooking style meals with reasonable prices. a neighborhood restaurant in hyde park/norwood near rookwood shopping centers. they serve good home style breakfast, lunch and dinner at reasonable prices. they specialize in fried chicken and fresh pies baked on site daily.

hyde park hitching post is one of my favorite places. now that i've moved out of town, it's the one place i miss. the service is great! they know your name & use it every time i come in. the waitresses no exactly what i want & order & ask "do i want my usual"? sometimes i change it up, but the service is some of the best! i'd recommend hyde park hitching post to anyone in cincinnati...new in town or not.

terrible. i ordered take out on sunday morning because a friend referred me to this so called hidden gem. i order steak and eggs, these "famous" kettle kakes (that are undiscribable on the menu), and my girlfriend got biscuits and gravy. the lady at the register checked out order for accuracy before we left the hole in the wall and returned home. my steak and eggs were swimming in what looked like toilet water. the steak had no taste. seemed almost like they boiled it and then threw it on the grill to make it look edible. the biscuits were hard as rocks for my girlfriends meal and the so called kettle kakes were no were to be found. unless this indescribable famous kettle kakes are pieces of buttered toast then we never got them. 0/10 place is a dump

the hitching post has been a family fav for years!! god down home cooking in all areas of the menu!! plenty of choices for everyone! affordable prices and great portions! save room for dessert too their pies are all homemade!!!
would highly recomend !!

excellent chicken! can't say enough, the dining experience has been extremely satisfying and the people were wonderful, very helpful. but again, the chicken is out of this world. nice and crunchy with great flavor!

had the half pound cheeseburger with onion rings, very good. wife had the sausage and kraut, also very good

don't tell anyone !!!!. about how wonderful the food and service is at this location. we like is quiet when we visit. food is always hot when placed on the table, actually we have to wait a few mins for it to cool down. food is freshly cooked and always taste delicious.

hot food. food is always served fresh and hot to your table every time. this is hyde parks little secret for quality hot food at a great price. if you have never been there check this place out, and see why its so good !!!!!

good inexpensive. i had never thought about hitching post until a coworker suggested it for lunch. i was pleasantly surprised. no fancy china, cloth napkins and mood lighting, but good food, well-prepared and reasonably priced. plus, you can actually talk to the others at the table without yelling over the noise. i go back often.

breakfast. we ususally go here for the fried chicken but tried breakfast. food was great but the wait was longer than promised.
