mini potato pancakes instead of french fries. the chicken is hot and juicy, the slaw is home made and you can substitute mini potato pancakes for mashed or frency fries. it's a local restaurant, not a chain, and the owners are very nice people.

warm and friendly. the place is warm and inviting and the food is delicious. the fried chicken and coleslaw is the bomb. daily specials are great when they have them.

hitching post- hyde park. hitching post chicken has been a family favorite for decades for us. really delicious, wholesome food. my grandson begs for the chocolate pie.

great omlettes. hyde park hitching post is great gathering place for breakfast. food is well prepared. our favorites are kettle kakes and mini potato pancakes with a lightly cooked omlette which is generously filled. the small intimate room makes for great attentive service. always hot and fresh coffee, they watch to keep your cup filled.

great food!. some of my coworkers and i frequent hyde park hitching post for lunch. the food is always good and the waitresses are friendly. if you join their rewards program you can take part in their occasional free pie days and can earn points for gift certificates!

delicious food, friendly service. my co-workers and i like to go to hyde park hitching post for lunch on a regular basis. the food and dessert is delicious, and the service is friendly and "homey." it's always a nice break in the middle of a busy day.

breakfast bonanza. a group of us has been meeting for breakfast at the hyde park location about once a week and we are never disappointed. the place is clean and nicely furnished, the food hot and tasty, the servers efficient and friendly. this is a true cincinnati gem.

blt was the best i've had. fried chicken was disappointing. over cooked and under seasoned.

mac & cheese, green beans also disappointing.
spicy chicken & sausage gumbo was on the right track - just missing some spice.

comfort food at its best!!!. fried chicken to die for, little mini potato cakes are a must have. never tried fried corn on the cob before, all i can say is delish! the pies are so good i order from hitching post for holiday celebrations now. once you try it you'll keep going back.

had the chicken last night as a take out. the skin was nicely crisp but absolutely tasteless. my wife and i could not discern even salt or pepper. the breasts were moist but very tough and stringy. not a good experience at all.

-what's not to love???. the hyde park hitching post is a wonderful place to eat well and to relax alone or with friends and family. i go when i am in need of a wonder plate of country goodness!

superb!. i am absolutely hooked in the hitching post: i go several times a moth for that best fried chicken in town!!!
