a favorite place. always tasty, super service...wait staff is attentive and welcoming, and the place is always coming up with fresh ideas to bring you back.

great owners, great staff!. between the owners and servers (cooks, too) the place is a pleasure to enter.
i never feel rushed, feel like i'm in a friend's kitchen, and everything on the menu is made to order. not only is the fried chicken delicious, but during the summer they have grilled corn on the cob which can't be beat. once you've tried it, you'll be back...again, and again.

best fried chicken in town. truly great food, fast service, and although i am in my 7th decade of life, i can't pass up those crispy french fries to enjoy with the juicy, moist chicken.

best fried chicken in town. i love the fried chicken, crispy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside. the fried chicken livers are great, too, and dipping those moist morsals into the gravy is heavenly. i am always trying to get my friends to accompany me to this friendly, reasonably priced restaurant. colonel sanders, look out!

great food. the food is always delicious and service was great.

nothing fancy, just good food. i almost always have a chicken liver appetizer with gravy and fried chicken dinner. livers are moist on the inside with a thin crispy breading/crust. the chicken is moist and delicious. the menu looks very tempting but there are so few places to get chicken livers and i love fried chicken.

service is always friendly and attentive and makes you feel like a regular.

good food, good service. my wife is a "fried chicken nut". where ever we go to dine, she will try the fried chicken and compare it to the hitching post. so far, one restaurant came close, but none, in her opinion, was better.
i, myself, am attracted to the mock turtle soup. i occaionally have a bowl there and a large mock turtle soup to go.
we have ordered, on occaison, other menu items and were well satisfied but we have our favorites that no where else seems able to match.
when we go to the hitching post we know that we will be welcomed as friends, not custonmers.
incidentally, i am 78 and my wife if 77. so, we have been to many places in our lives, and we have many places to compare to.

mom n pop (literally) place at its finest! you gotta try the pies!

honest food - honest folks. we have been going to the hitching post for a few years. have never been disappointed, whether it be their perfect fried chicken, amazing breakfast choices, meat loaf, chicken dumplings, fish choices -- or home-made pies that are truly delicious -- not overly sweet. the welcoming and service continue to be superior -- very natural; never overly-attentive. this very inviting home-like restaurant is always clean. their omelettes and other breakfast choices could not be better -- even from my own kitchen. cannot imagine a disappointing experience from this restaurant. still, should there be a bad moment, have no doubt that the hitching post would make it right. hitching post fried chicken, greyhound fried chicken, and the fried chicken (only on sundays) at the all in restaurant in erlanger -- each exceptionally good, yet each is different. the hitching post aims to please in all respects. if you don't like it here, best that you just stay home and do your own cooking -- and we are seasoned citizens.

true restaurant gem in hyde park. hp is one of the best restaurants in hyde park. the food is good, there is a great deal of variety. the place is clean. the servers are like family and very friendly. there is plenty of parking. the prices are reasonable and families are very welcome. the chicken specials on wednesday are the best. you can come in fore any meal of the day or a quick sweet nosh. there is nothing pretentious about this little spot of family goodness. you will certainly enjoy the atmosphere and the dining experience.

family friendly restaurant. this is a small family-owned reastaurant in the heart of hyde park. only good wholesome breakfasts and dinners here. plenty of parking. great service. good american dining. many regulars. just a nice place to go after a hard day at the office. like being with family.

need to try. once you have tryed the hitching post you will be hooked.
great chicken, turtle soup is to die for. the service is just as if you where sitting in your kitchen. this place rocks

great environment, great food. the servers are always pleasant and very eager to please. i've yet to try something i didn't like, and their pie is the bomb!!!

so tasty. the hitching post is hands down my favorite breakfast spot in cincinnati. the skillets and kettle cakes literally make my mornings. i stop to eat here whenever i am in town. delicious

hitching post hyde park. i grew up eating this chicken and i must say it is just as wonderful as ever.

best fried chicken!!. my husband and i eat at hitching post almost every sunday after church and i have never been disapointed in the service or food. my favorites are omlete and fried chicken. the fried chicken is the best i have ever had!!!
