quantity of the item is not adequate & reasonable. not worth the money.

price is a bit on the higher end. but it's worth it.

the taste is too poor..like not cooked properly.. smells are coming from the meat..

why didn't you seal the container?? why would i take the risk to consume this??

packet is delivered without zomato seal tape.
and also i ordered pork meat fried as shown in picture it is deep fried pork pieces without onion garlic. bt i received fried pork with onion ginger garlic.

too much delay in food delivery takes about one hour to reach me yesterday horrible experience..

the place is pathetic...the wasrooms are very dirty. the service is extremely poor. nobody bothers serve water &even provide glasses. the food served is vry cold & doesnt taste good. i would absolutely not recommended to come here....vry bad

edit: visited this place after a gap of 1 and a half years today. it's even better now. upgrading the rating to 4.5/5 :)

review: i was always confused when it came to this outlet and the 'khorikaa' in ulubari and thought they were the same, but after being corrected by one of my friends i just had to check this place out.

first things first, the worst thing about the original khorikaa and its sister concern 'bhut jolokia' are their absolutely horrendous service. however this place shocked me by bringing my food in around 8 minutes flat, which was unbelievable! so kudos to that. that being said, the waiters were still not interested enough and i had to call them on multiple occasions to fill my glass etc. hence, i would say that even though the service is better than the other two places opened by chef lahkar, it still needs a little more of a push.

now coming to the food, i ordered the akhaj platter and the pork with sesame seeds (til). both the dishes were splendid and tasted great. the pork was cooked well and had lovely pieces of bamboo shoots along with the sesame seeds which gave it a tangy and earthy taste (which i loved). and from the platter, i especially enjoyed the mati dali and kheer.

the prices are reasonable and the ambience is also pretty nice (check out the pictures to get an idea about the interiors). the thaali has an option that allows us to get unlimited refills of rice, which is another welcome gesture. all in all, i must say that this place exceeded my expectations.

take khorika restaurant, remove the crowd, brighten up the ambience, make the staff more friendly and enhance the service- you get heritage khorikaa. the best assamese ethnic restaurant right now. go for the duck dry fry and chicken with sesame. the smoked fish was also good. the interiors are just awesome.. just waiting for more chances of visiting this place..

a great place to bask in for pure authentic assamese cuisine. great interiors, with cane and bamboo furniture which is my personal favorite. i love the wall hangings pretty much. it's all about our incredible assam. coming to the food, the menu is laden with all assamese dishes. vegetarian dishes are also offered, so, no worries for my vegetarian friends! the pork dish is quite relishing, may be that's because i love pork in any way or the other! however, the fish curry didn't quite impress me. it had that typical scent of those old dead fish. so that was a disappointment. nevertheless, the traditional brass ware really gave me a pleasure of being a "khati oxomiya". prices, i felt is a bit expensive.
overall, i loved the ambiance and my mother liked it so i recommend you to take your parents for a dinner date and i'm sure they will definitely like it.
