devilish delights. so many things to try, so little time. we just focused on the happy hour menu. the pergatory punch was about the best sangria i have had in ages. served with large fresh blackberries & blueberries and packing a real kick, it was excellent. the fried cheese curds were delicious and even better with the homemade ketchup. the bison sliders were outstanding. and you can't go wrong with the huge pounder cinnamon roll to go for breakfast. fun place and good service made hell a very plesant place to be.

tastebud overload. breakfast at hell's kitchen was a pure adventure for the palate. i ordered the risky choices and was really surprised by how much i enjoyed them.

the porridge (wild rice, heavy cream, roasted hazelnuts, dired blueberries, and more) was by far the best thing for breakfast. sweet, heavy, fresh, grainy and wonderful. a small cup was still 3x more than i could eat due to the density, but wow those few bites were heavenly.

the toasted sausage bread was really good and dark - but much less "savory" than i had hoped. it was much closer to a dark banana nut bread type item with the inclusion of sausage.

the homemade peanut butter is just perfect. grainy and sweet.

love the dark lower level atmosphere, the deep reds and dark blacks. but what is really special is the food.

go for the food.

go to red's in delano. at least there you have no expectations about quality of the food or service. food was over priced, and slopped onto the plate. the service was slow and rude. never again.

i like hell’s kitchen for breakfast. i did write another review about hell’s kitchen that was glowing. but, i doubt i will ever go there to get a drink again. i am very glad that i didn’t choose the bar tenders choice drink because i wonder what kind of drink i would have gotten then.

great eats. had a quick dinner here with colleagues. the main dining room was super busy so we opted for the bar. we pulled up a stool and were served in no time. the food was an interesting mix of flavors and styles. the beers on tap were outstanding. while i felt the place was a bit of a phenomenon rather than a secret find, it was still a great place to hang out when travelling.

very, very rich breakfast food. descend a staircase and wend your way beneath a chandelier festooned with dangling knives to the reception desk. hell's kitchen is huge with several large dining rooms. we were there for breakfast and tried the suggested favorites. lemon ricotta pancakes were so good that they didn't need any of the accompanying maple syrup. i added bacon -- very rich. we all split the cinnamon roll; it's large enough for at least three people to split. the roll is covered with lightly roasted, salted pecans which are a nice balance to the roll's sweetness. hell's kitchen touts its homemade peanut butter which is served with any bread item. the pb is grainy and sweet -- almost like honey has been added. service was prompt and efficient.

did not enjoy the late night bar. servers were rude, refused to serve coffee, and the night snack bar guy couldn't answer any questions about the food they were serving.

very good!. we at first thought this was one of gordon ramsey's restaurants; it's not, but we were not disappointed in the least. the atmosphere is great, and the food was delicious. i really loved my french dip, but it's not for the salt-conscious. my friend really enjoyed her caribbean jerk burger and described it as having "a kick, but not so much that i can't eat it. very flavorful and delicious." for what it's worth, my friend is not a ketchup connoisseur or anything, but she did not like it at all, for some reason.

we drank soda and did not eat desert. our total bill came to about $39.00. we would definitely recommend this restaurant.
p.s. this is random but interesting: the bathroom door has a little "handle" for your foot to pull the door open when you leave (so you don't have to touch the door handle. pretty cool, i thought.

i only hope the real thing is this good.. we went here for breakfast when we visited minneapolis last time, i had some friends that went and recommended it. we went and it was about 8:30am, not too busy. first we had to find the sign, then go down into the bowels of minneapolis to the dining room. this restaurant was big, and it had many rooms, all decorated to the max with the ongoing theme of hades. it was a unique dining experience, especially for breakfast. to drive this point home for you, you will not eat your lemon ricotta pancakes in a sunny brightly colored dining room, you will eat breakfast in a room with black painted ceilings and no windows. red walls covered with horror paintings and gothic themed furniture and lighting. with some trippy music playing and if like me, watched the "snorks" on a giant projection screen. on to the food, the coffee was really good, hot and fresh, and decent strength. i ordered the lemon ricotta pancakes ($10.50) and a side of ham ($1.75). my fiance ordered the huevos rancheros ($9.95) and we shared a small portion of the mahnomin porridge ($3.75), really how often to you see porridge a menu, never, that's how often. the porridge is definitely good, it's pretty heavy in the cream and honey department but it was tasty with the cranberries and blueberries that came in it. at first i wasn't going to get the pancakes, $11 for 3 pancakes seemed a little steep to me. but, i heard they were worth it so i did, and wasn't sorry. i don't know if i was feeling defeated by the atmosphere or the porridge or what, but i seriously couldn't finish them with my ham. they will ask you to try to resist the urge to put syrup on them, i would agree i think it would ruin them, they are kind of delicate. i did however use some of the fruit preserves on the table alongside the pancakes, i think it helped cut the acidity of the lemon. my fiance liked her huevos rancheros but wasn't blown away. i tasted it and although i bet that each ingredient on it's own merit was good, i thought there was almost to much going on there together and it kind of just looked like a big mess after a few bites. then lastly, the peanut butter thing. they are very proud of their peanut butter here, it is on the table so you can try it. i personally did not like it, i think that peanut butter should taste first and foremost like peanuts. theirs, as i tasted it was way to sweet (i can see why after looking at the recipe, they sell a cook book with the recipes at the location). overall i really enjoyed the meal and would like to check it out later at night to see how it stands up.
