great breakfast and reasonable prices!. my husband and i ate here for the first time about a week ago. firstly let me just say that the decor in this place is outstanding! it really does look likehell'skitchen... lol! we were so impressed with the artwork and look/feel of the place. having the waters and waitresses walk around in their pajamas was clever indeed. we found that the food and the service were great. if you go here for breakfast i highly recommend the pancakes! get a big stack (at least four) because two isn't nearly enough. they are absolutely fantastic! i would request getting their homemade peanut butter to slather on them as well. :)

lemon ricotta pancakes perfect just as they are!. after a getaway weekend, i couldn't leave minneapolis without stopping athell'skitchen for breakfast on monday morning may 18. i ordered the famous lemon ricotta pancakes which were lightly dusted with powdered sugar and garnished with fresh berries. tender and delicious- no syrup needed.

overpriced and overrated. a trip tohell'skitchen might be worth the visit if you enjoy overpriced pancakes and eggs. while the portions are large and the dishes are original and creative, it's still hard to pay-up when the service is poor, the tables are crowded and small, and it's too loud to hear yourself speak. the restaurant is decorated with a "devilish" theme that is fun and different...... but don't be fooled!

consistently excellent food, fun atmosphere. for bar food with a twist, i lovehell'skitchen, and i search it out whenever i'm in minneapolis. the bison burgers are excellent, as are the appetizers, from the black bean chili cheese fries (with the chili subtly spiced with cinnamon) to the deviled eggs. deviled eggs and other unexpected menu items testify to the chef's commitment to include items that make the menu interesting and eclectic.

ehhhh..... my first trip to minneapolis to attend a conference and they recommendhell'skitchen. i wasn't really that impressed. got the fried cheese curds and about half of them were missing the cheese. also got the juicy lucifer. it was okay. i did spend $50 on peanut butter, porridge, and other stuff. hope that doesn't leave me disappointed too. staff was really nice though.

not really gluten free friendly. i likehell'skitchen. we have gone there a few times - most often to hear music and get a drink. when i ate there on my birthday, the food was good but the gluten free menu was basically "yeah, you can order this sandwich and not eat the bread." kind of thing. i don't expect restaurants to cater to my special food needs, except when they advertise themselves as gluten free friendly (as they are listed on this site.) that may be just a mistake... but it is disappointing. so, hopefully in the future, "gluten free friendly" should mean at least a few (i don't know, maybe 3 minimum) completely gluten free choices on the menu.

as some one who used to work forhell'skitchen, i have many things to say. joe the chef and mitch put so much time and energy into the recipes. and don't forget the su-chefs! they throw in their ideas and work so hard! to the people that complain about the servers: the servers are rolling their eyes because they know it's taking forever for your food. but what can you expect from a super busy restaurant? there's a couple hundred other people trying to order too. it's not magic. if you wanted fast food then go to a fast food drive thru. damn good food takes time.

welcome to the dungeon. i love the step downstairs to the red world ofhell'skitchen. a large open space, fun daily specials and attitude make it a unique place in minnesota. i like different places. the food was excellent. the waiter was very friendly and the price for the quality was right. i usually find my way here for lunch, but dinner is also fun. enjoy.

i used to lovehell'skitchen. that is, until i took a dear friend with me on a sunday morning. my quirky friend, an adult with autism, was treated terribly by the bartenders. they pointed, laughed, and assumed that he was unaware of their rude gestures. news flash: he got it. of all places to take him on his weekend visit, i was sure thathell'skitchen would impress.

i won't be going back, with or without him.

excellent service, need to try other foods before final review. i have been wanting to tryhell'skitchen for a while now, as i remembered hearing good things, (especially about their homemade peanut butter,) so when i tonight went with two friends for our 7th official supper club meet (its facebook official yo) i was pretty excited. walking in the building and down the stairs into the cavernous lobby, it was pretty busy, but we were seated immediately.

we ordered the mussels, cheese tray, and french fries for apps, and a roast beef sandwich, and very overpriced shrimp scampi for the two dinners, (the third diner apped out.) well my $22 scampi was a disappointment, but i can't judge the whole menu based off an item, so i'll be back for the famous breakfast. i have heard friends talk up the breakfast and looked at me funny when i gave my poor scampi review to them, so it's looking like i just had an unlucky plate, so i'll be back to try again!

i do have to say the service was second to non-the food came out in record time, and the server jesse was great, as was they're famous homemade peanut butter that i picked up to-go on thw way out (and polished off last night-soo good!)

great service, a funny owner and simply the nicest visit to hell you'll ever have. i've been going tohell'skitchen for years and i've never been unsatisfied. i almost always order a breakfast entree or whatever their special is. do not go here if all you want is bacon and eggs. this is a place where you should leave your comfort zone. it's not worth it otherwise.

the wait staff are consistently awesome and friendly. i also met one of the owners on my last visit and he's incredibly nice while being irreverently funny. he signed a book especially for my husband and even threw in a free jar of their homemade peanut butter!

i love this place and it will always be my #1 recommendation for people visiting the cities. definitely make a reservation though. they're almost always packed.

tastebud overload. breakfast athell'skitchen was a pure adventure for the palate. i ordered the risky choices and was really surprised by how much i enjoyed them.

the porridge (wild rice, heavy cream, roasted hazelnuts, dired blueberries, and more) was by far the best thing for breakfast. sweet, heavy, fresh, grainy and wonderful. a small cup was still 3x more than i could eat due to the density, but wow those few bites were heavenly.

the toasted sausage bread was really good and dark - but much less "savory" than i had hoped. it was much closer to a dark banana nut bread type item with the inclusion of sausage.

the homemade peanut butter is just perfect. grainy and sweet.

love the dark lower level atmosphere, the deep reds and dark blacks. but what is really special is the food.

go for the food.

very, very rich breakfast food. descend a staircase and wend your way beneath a chandelier festooned with dangling knives to the reception desk.hell'skitchen is huge with several large dining rooms. we were there for breakfast and tried the suggested favorites. lemon ricotta pancakes were so good that they didn't need any of the accompanying maple syrup. i added bacon -- very rich. we all split the cinnamon roll; it's large enough for at least three people to split. the roll is covered with lightly roasted, salted pecans which are a nice balance to the roll's sweetness.hell'skitchen touts its homemade peanut butter which is served with any bread item. the pb is grainy and sweet -- almost like honey has been added. service was prompt and efficient.

lucifer got no s'plainin' to do..... ... the food speaks for itself!
on my long-awaited 3rd visit to hk i found it had moved a couple of blocks and was full of hellacious improvements. naturally, you now descent a red staircase to the nether world of good eats. and instead of a single, long, narrow diniing room, there is a labrynth of large dining rooms with full bars. the decor remains sinfully gruesome.
i was greeted at the host's desk and shown to a table in the rear of the lair. i spent no time in pergatory waiting for my food either. i opted for some voodoo in the form of a carribean dish of fried eggs, black beans and salsa that had a hotter-than-hades zing to it. of course no meal is complete without a slice of bison sausage bread that can only be described as heavenly. perhaps satan took the recipe off an angelic baker? the beans had a wonderful rich, flavor, the eggs were done right and the hot salsa and sweet bread complimented each other perfectly. it's kind of place you could dine in for an eternity.
the only off-note was my server's demeanor. the service was fine, but she was as clipped, abrubt and non-engaging as she could be. i presumed she had something on her mind and was a 1000 miles away in her head. all in all, this is still one of my favorite places in the twin cities.

a heavenly experience!. i've eaten here twice with friends for the brunch meal and we loved it. the servers were all in their pajamas and the food was unique and fun. we loved the standard breakfast, the bacon, the rosti potatoes. but the bison bread is simply the best. when you buy a loaf to take with you just tell people the devil made you do it. i also got some of their natural home-made peanut butter and ahell'skitchen cooking apron since i liked the place so much. i'm supposed to be in the twin cities on business soon and i plan to go back!
