greatbreakfastand reasonable prices!. my husband and i ate here for the first time about a week ago. firstly let me just say that the decor in this place is outstanding! it really does look like hell's kitchen... lol! we were so impressed with the artwork and look/feel of the place. having the waters and waitresses walk around in their pajamas was clever indeed. we found that the food and the service were great. if you go here forbreakfasti highly recommend the pancakes! get a big stack (at least four) because two isn't nearly enough. they are absolutely fantastic! i would request getting their homemade peanut butter to slather on them as well. :)

their hot chocolate with whipped cream was the first heavenly item on menu we tasted. we then ate their hell burger which was among the best burgers we tasted yet. the juicy lucifier wasn’t as good and more on the dry side of meat. vegetable scromlette was another deliciousbreakfastitem. but the cake went to lemon ricotta hot cakes. the lemon undertone was so subtle and yet so powerful. we will surely come to this place again.

the following night we had dinner at hell’s kitchen, located in the heart of downtown minneapolis in an underground space. the menu is unique but not fancy, interesting but not fussy, just the way the chefs intended it to be. almost everything at hell’s kitchen is homemade, including the ketchup, mustard, tomato juice, iced tea and the raved-about peanut butter.

the menu uses (v) for vegetarian items and (g) for gluten free friendly items, or items that can be prepared gluten free friendly with minor omissions. they do make it clear on their menu that this is not a gluten free kitchen and there is a possibility of cross contamination, hence the gluten free friendly designation, not gluten free. i was fine. hell’s kitchen servesbreakfastall day long so for dinner i ordered steak and eggs. a 5 oz. melt-in-your-mouth, charbroiled beef filet plus two organic eggs, hash browns, a side of mixed greens, and a gluten free english muffin. other gluten friendly menu options include; burgers

hells kitchen...hellish. sundaybreakfastwith our out of town guests was anything but enjoyable. the bloody mary's, the decor and the live music were great. the food was mediocre and the service was horrible. sadly when i was in duluth a few weeks ago the same horrible service was experienced. servers who are too cool to say hello much less smile and seemed annoyed that you are there.
guess i don't understand the hype. we won't be back. ever.

proudly promoting itself as “minnesota’s most-book restaurant,” a lines-beget-lines strategy that sees seating for what must be at least two hundred packed on weekends where those without reservations will often be asked to wait at least an hour, it was prior to a vikings-bills matchup at u.s. bank stadium that advanced planning scored a table at hell’s kitchen, the restaurant predating gordon ramsay’s television program expectedly raucous even before live music began.

now serving the city since 2002, an underground location on 9th street downtown over time becoming a destination for american fare served amidst kitschy confines that remain whimsical despite the restaurant’s name, it was to a seat immediately in front of the stage thatbreakfastwas served, a middle-aged man with plenty of ink offering a good blend of hospitality and professionalism that one usually does not expect at such a busy or “themed” place.

owned by mitch omer and cynthia gerdes, her angel food bakery upstairs just visited and often acting as a stand-inbreakfastfor those turned away from hell’s kitchen, it is from the hands of chef steve meyer and team that guests are currently fed from a wide list of everything from pancakes to burgers, a lengthy list of beers by bottle or tap clearly popular amongst the pre-game crowd as was a $14.95 option to build one’s own “jacked up” bloody mary.

opting instead for coffee, a mug kept full of surprisingly good drip throughout an hour long stay, it was shortly after asking a few questions that the meal began with omer’s regionally famous toasted sausage bread, the odd concoction featuring fruit, nuts and spices a bit like zucchini bread riddled with the sapor and salt of pork that is as enjoyable as it is unique, though the richness makes this an dish best shared.

intrigued by other “minnesota icons” including walleye hash and rice porridge, but working with limited capacity and more meals to follow, it was instead that course two featured one of hell’s kitchen’s lemon-ricotta hotcakes, the flavor and texture fine but no different than versions offered elsewhere while the house’s take on a jucy lucy titled “juicy lucifer” costs twice that of matt’s but is unquestionably better thanks to prime beef and a brioche bun plus tangy red pepper jelly around the molten core.

went here for brunch this morning, and it was quite pleasant!  i jumped right in and had the 2 things on the menu i've never seen anywhere else, the mahnomin porridge and the toasted sausage bread.   the porridge was very interesting as i'd never seen abreakfastapplication for wild rice before, and the sausage bread is just that, it's a bread made from sausage, currants, walnuts and coffee.  definitely the scene stealer, especially when you put some of their home made peanut butter on it.   wife's pretty picky about her hollandaise on a benny, and i guess theirs passes muster with the right amount of lemon in it, or close to it.

bestbreakfastyet!. where to start with this gem... the food, service, atmosphere, and music were all great. huevos with all the trimmings and a side of toast to sample the amazing peanut butter (although almost too sweet, so use sparingly!), jam, and marmalade were the best i've had! live music even at 10am was at a reasonable level that you didn't have to yell and it suited the atmosphere quite well. pleasant and attentive service. i will definitely be back.

excellent service, need to try other foods before final review. i have been wanting to try hell's kitchen for a while now, as i remembered hearing good things, (especially about their homemade peanut butter,) so when i tonight went with two friends for our 7th official supper club meet (its facebook official yo) i was pretty excited. walking in the building and down the stairs into the cavernous lobby, it was pretty busy, but we were seated immediately.

we ordered the mussels, cheese tray, and french fries for apps, and a roast beef sandwich, and very overpriced shrimp scampi for the two dinners, (the third diner apped out.) well my $22 scampi was a disappointment, but i can't judge the whole menu based off an item, so i'll be back for the famous breakfast. i have heard friends talk up thebreakfastand looked at me funny when i gave my poor scampi review to them, so it's looking like i just had an unlucky plate, so i'll be back to try again!

i do have to say the service was second to non-the food came out in record time, and the server jesse was great, as was they're famous homemade peanut butter that i picked up to-go on thw way out (and polished off last night-soo good!)

great service, a funny owner and simply the nicest visit to hell you'll ever have. i've been going to hell's kitchen for years and i've never been unsatisfied. i almost always order abreakfastentree or whatever their special is. do not go here if all you want is bacon and eggs. this is a place where you should leave your comfort zone. it's not worth it otherwise.

the wait staff are consistently awesome and friendly. i also met one of the owners on my last visit and he's incredibly nice while being irreverently funny. he signed a book especially for my husband and even threw in a free jar of their homemade peanut butter!

i love this place and it will always be my #1 recommendation for people visiting the cities. definitely make a reservation though. they're almost always packed.

i just want to be fair and say i have tried the food here a few different times and just can't seem to like this place. i want to like it but the crappy food thats way over priced just doesnt cut it. i first tried thebreakfastwith a group of five. no one really liked the food, but i thought i would try it again by myself so my opinion didnt get swayed by anyone else's. tried a few different items here and there... still suck. tonight i decided to give them one last shot. i ordered calamari and the curry salmon. the calamari was standard - you can get way better calamari around the corner at eight street grill, and even their calamari isnt that great.

the salmon was ridiculously terrible, for over twenty two bucks you get an over cooked 6-8 oz fillet of salmon barely salted with curry powder served over bland black rice.
this meal sucked so hard i felt absolutely compelled to find every review site online and tell everyone how much this restaurant sucks.

there are a lot of good reviews on this site and you really can't blame me for the majority of the general public being absolutely retarded. so if you like terrible food that's way overpriced, over cooked and that takes entirely too long to get to your table this place is for you. also on a side note. its pretty loud in there, i know bars usually are loud but this is a different type of terrible crappy hipster music loud.

i warned you. happy eatn'
