i always loved gino's. but the bgc branch has terrible service. they never know how to fix their tables, and are always in a rush. one time they were asking me to move my table as i was paying because they did not plan ahead. one guy even kept getting my plates even if i wasn't done yet. terrible service.

best pizza for sure! love that they have lots of flavours to choose from. the sausage pasta was great but the salted egg pasta lack the taste of salted egg. the price is just right since the food is really great! i for sure will go back!

nice place with a homely feel.
we ordered the recommended burrata caprese and smeg pizza.
burrata was really tasty but the quantity was too small for the price.
smeg had too many flavors mixed in. didn't enjoy it much, specially the raw egg on top.
ordered a margherita pizza that was really delicious with the honey chilli sauce. this was the best dish.
anyways a pizza outlet that gets its margherita pizza right knows its pizza well.
the pizza base was amazing. something different from the fast food pizza joints around.
surely a place to check out.

food:👍👍👍
was generally okay. pizza was a little oily but was tasty. pasta was good but not great.

service:👍👍👍👍
attentive staff, didn’t needed to repeat orders not follow up.

ambiance :👍👍
overall it was comfy. but when we came their air conditioning was broken or not working properly.
it was warm even with the fans.

cost:👍👍👍
not affordable.
i ordered imported ale/beers which was priced fair but the rest you will leave feeling you didn’t get the best bang for buck

went to ginos at bgc sunday evening. gino's is great for pizza and pasta!

got the iced tea carafe. then the ricotta on fried bread. this is superb. the cheese on top of the tasty toast fried with evoo! heavenly!

next came the butter parmigiano pasta. lovely taste of parmesan pervades this dish

finally, smegg! sausage, mushrooms, egg and gouda. love the gino's pizza crust - crisp yet not too crisp. the flavor of the mushrooms, gouda and runny eggs was exquisite.

airconditioning is not working. it would have been polite for them to inform us before letting us in. at least we’d still have the option to proceed or not. i had to ask a very impolite staff that seemed to be rushing to get our orders. she just said, “ay sira po ung aircon” in a very sarcastic manner. food prep is really sloppy. we even heard complains from the other table that another waiter overlooked their pizza order. at one point i called a staff to order additional drinks and she just intentionally ignored me. poor service, poor food quality, poor ambiance. kath and the rest of her team should really really really improve their service. my worst experience in gino’s ever! better go to their salcedo branch instead.

may 12, 2018 dinner time
the place
the place is quite small. if you’re going on a “peak” time or in a group, better call in advance to reserve a table. we waited for about 20minutes to get a table for 6. what’s more disappointing is, the inside seating was warmer than the temperature outside. they have 3 air coolers, but it is still not sufficient to ventilate the entire room. place is clean though and had minimal decors.

the service
it’s okay. they were attentive and prompt. nothing stands out.

the food
bacon and spinach pizza & meat pizza - tasted good, loved the taste of the crust - the charredness gave it more character. however, the crust was very soggy towards the center. didn’t like that part, but otherwise pizza were really good.
mushroom parmigiano pasta - this was okay. what stands out more is how greasy it was - there’s even a visible pool of butter in the photo. if it weren’t for that, this would have been really good. it’s very very buttery. serving size is good for 1.
stuffed chicken pasta - i had a different expectation of what this would look like, but it tasted good. the aglio olio pasta is less greasy than the mushroom parmigiano and tasted better. it was served with stuffed chicken and cream sauce — imagine cordon bleu, but stuffed with a meatball.

overall experience
i was expecting more from this experience. not sure if this is only in this branch, but i will try a different location and see how that goes.
food was good, but quite greasy/oily. hope they improve the ac issue coz that definitely ruined the experience especially on hot summer days!

first time eating here after the movies. it's quite uncommon to see a wood oven pizza place that is affordable as this one. this place is located at serendra along bgc. the interiors gives a rustic cottage feel with red brick walls and wood and oregano pots hanging on one wall. nice.

the staff was attentive. they recommended for us to try the smegg pizza which is one of their bestsellers and the salted egg carbonara. so we decided to get what she suggested. the pizza, smegg i guess was named so because of the shiitake mushrooms and egg toppings. it was nice and creamy, the pizza dogh itself has a nice crust as expected from a pizza cooked in a wood oven, slightly chewy and a bit too thin for me but it was ok. the salted egg carbonara was also nice and eggy and creamy.  both dishes were good on its own, but when i ate them together, i think i got an egg overload. everything tasted so rich. maybe next time i would order a different pizza with the  salted egg carbonara. it was a good thing we ordered angelizzas which are small bite sized pizzas. think crispy potato chips with pizza toppings. this one i really loved and it somehow saved me from having too much egg for my dinner. we had iced tea by the pitcher for our drinks.

price was reasonable seeing the quality of the food. the place is cozy and can be a great place to hang out with family and friends. will be coming back to this place.

we liked that the menu is straightforward but contains interesting selections. we loved our classic burrata, panna sausage pizza, and salted egg pasta. the service was good and we didn't have to wait too long for our food. overall, a pleasant experience.

best pizza in bgc in my opinion.

their pastas are made fresh which suits me since i am very picky with noodles. i love their 4 cheese pizza, as well as margherita pizza.

fresh dalandan juice is so refreshing specially in summer

on the table:
bacon gouda pizza 395php
tomato basil pasta 205php
crack pie, slice 55php
nutella soup 195php

i super love gino's bacon gouda! i'm a certified bacon-lover and this pizza gets a two thumbs up for me. the tomato basil pasta's sourness is a perfect match to the bacon gouda's flavors. for our dessert, we had the crack pie slice and the nutella soup. i'm not a huge fan of nutella and anything super sweet so i didn't like it that much. the crack pie tastes good and it's very reasonable at only 55php.

we'll definitely come back at gino's and try their famous burrata and i'm sure that i'll order their bacon gouda again.

i am excited to try this place because of the good reviews i’ve been hearing.

when we were ordering, the waitress was not able to balance the glass of water and it fell to my boyfriend. he was wearing khaki pants and most of the left side was wet. we did not get mad because we did not want our night to be ruined. we even joked about it and teased them that we should be getting a good appetizer.

the food came and we were disappointed. i ordered the lemon mushroom pasta and my boyfriend had the famous salted egg pasta. we also had meat pizza and house salad to share.
3 out of the 4 dishes we ordered were really unsatisfying. the most forgiving one is the pizza — but you can never go wrong with bacon! the pasta were bland and overcooked. the salad was too normal for its price.

we could have forgotten about the incident if only the food was delicious. but the food made it all worse and remember that we were not even given complimentary anything considering what happened.

i am never going back. i am not recommending this place.
