do you have a hankering for some fries, gravy and cheese curds in the late hours of the night into the wee hours of the morning?fritzis open late and is a great way to satisfy your itch for some poutine. it's not particularly cheap, but the fries are cooked perfectly and you can never go wrong with poutine anyhow.

been here a few times in the late night, for they are open past 12.fritzhas a good selection when it comes to toppings, vegan options, and dips. the only problem is affording all of them. a small plain poutine alone is $6.50. small is no understatement either. the last time i came here, my stomach ached afterwards, as did the stomachs of my 2 other friends. i’ve come here other times and been okay, but somewhere like smokes poutinerie is more of my go to.

as i walked by this poutine restaurant many times, i would love to try their poutine. here i ordered a small chicken poutine. who took my order was probably the owner of the restaurant. she was very nice and friendly. her service was very well even though this restaurant was like a fast food place.

the poutine was very "canadian" and local. although i ordered a small chicken poutine, the portion was quite big and filling. i was full the whole afternoon after eating the poutine by myself. i should have shared it with a friend. the gravy tasted great; the chicken was actually marinated by some curry sauce or powder; and there was big chunks of cheese. there were some salt, black pepper, vinegar, and other spices that i could add to the poutine as well. all the ingredients matched well with the fries, so it was called chicken poutine. the only downside was that i was very thirty after eating the poutine.

overall, i had a good eating experience here. if i would go back for fries, i would order theirfritzwith their special dips.

poutine is certainly my go-to comfort food and guilty pleasure.  in downtown vancouver, i have tried several poutineries (la belle patate, mean poutine, smoke’s and frites) but fritz european fry house has got to be one of my favourites next to la belle patate.  located in the granville entertainment district, fritzis a small poutinerie with limited seating and a walk up window.  it opens late (ie, closes at 4 am friday and saturday) so it’s definitely for perhaps some “drunken noms.”

after walking around candytown in yaletown, some friends wanted fritz. anyplace i've never tried i'm game.fritzwasn't good nor bad. only problem is the gravy is very salty and very peppery. everyone keeps talking about how good this place is, well after finding out all the drunk people come here to eat at 3am, it explains it. price seems a little high, but rent in downtown is expensive. next up la belle patate!

looking for a delicious poutine spot in downtown vancouver? check outfritzeuropean fry house at 718 davie street in downtown vancouver. the poutine is amazing, they've got fresh crispy fries, with great tasting cheese curds! the prices may be a bit high, but it is delicious!! you have a number of options for dipping sauces as well! try the jalapeño mustard, you won't regret it! we probably have to say its the best poutine in downtown vancouver.

deeeeeeeelish!. this was our first time tofritz- and the owner was such a gem! you can tell this woman is proud of her food and it shows!

we had the pulled pork poutine, and it did not disappoint. we orderd 2 sauces, chipotle and blue cheese - both great, but to be honest - the poutine did not really need them, it was great on it's own.

we will definitely be back.

bremerton
good place to eat in bremerton. i stopped in atfritza couple of weekends ago when i was in bremerton for the washington beer lovers (wabl)bremerton beer festival.
fritz is a "hole in the wall" type of place. if you get about 6-7 people in the restaurant it's quite crowded.
they have, of course, fried foods. i found the fries to be quite good. i ordered the bacon cheese burger combo.
the burger patty was a tiny bit dry and it had ample bacon and american cheese on it and you get a large mound of fries with the meal and two dipping sauces (they have 12 dipping sauce choices).the place seemed to be quite popular. every seat outside was taken and most of the seats inside were filled.
decent prices too.i would go back here to eat. the fish and chips looked good.
(pictures are posted of my visit to fritz.)

we’ve had la’s version of poutine (from animal ) and we loved it.  but we were excited to try the real thing in canada! when we searched for poutine, fritzwas one of the more popular places who specialized in french fries smothered with gravy. …i mean just look at their menu. we just went with a standard poutine (large)… no toppings and no special dips (even though i wanted to try them all). i always thought “poutine” fries were just gravy fries and didn’t realize that cheese curds were an essential part of this canadian dish! food :  freaking delicious!!! fries came out hot, gravy was even hotter. despite the heat, our little cheese curds didn’t really melt (mind blown). gravy tasted great and was my favorite part. oh, and the fries were crispy. delicious. atmosphere : very small.  there is only one little table/bench inside.  we just took our order to go...

a while back ago, i tagged along on a visit tofritzafter hearing good things about this place on davie st. here, i ordered a medium poutine with a side of  cajun ketchup . the dip was just "fancy" tasting ketchup, really. the poutine was pretty good though and i liked that the cheese curds were layered through out the fries. as for the gravy, it was on the slightly salty side but it didn't stop me from finishing the bowl clean. i'm personally not crazy about poutine in general but this place definitely hits the spot. not bad at all.

so i actually had this friday night and totally forgot i went! i go tofritzlate night, to get my greasy fix. it’s not too expensive and a lot better than throwing your money at mcdonalds when you’ve had a couple drinks. i love getting a smallfritz(just fries) and nibbling off friends’ poutine. to be fair, the quality is either hit or miss here. they’re either ridiculously good, or rather plain tasting fries. to ensure quality, you can choose from a number of their dips. i got curry ketchup, which wasn’t made in the usual style i’m used to. it reminds me more of a plum sauce and curry than curry ketchup. i’m much more of a fan of the poutine if i can handle the guilt. i would give them a 3.5/5! good for a quick late night snack that won’t cost you very much ($3-6). i just wish there was just more consistency, although i do keep coming back… must mean i like em !   the postfritzeuropean fry house appeared first on gastrofork .

french fries are like hugs :davie: it's no secret i love fries.  well, potatoes more generally, but especially this deep-fried variety. i miss montreal poo-tin like crazy.   i   miss toronto's dirrtttyyy fry trucks.   it might be safe to say i miss food as much as i miss my people. i can't very well replace my toronto friends, but i can replace food.  then i could use that food to replace my feelings...i think that's funny.  i know my friends back home are rolling their eyes. i was successful in finding the perfect french fry.  my sister took me tofritzlast week.  then i went again this weekend. i tried to go today, but they don't open until 4:30 pm on tuesdays and wednesdays. it's obvious i just can't get enough of these: that's mango-chutney dip.  now it was described to me as "amazing". i thought it was okay.  it's like mayo with curry. fritz's fries are fryer-fresh, piping hot, crispy, well-salted, and delicious.  it tastes amazing whether you're tall, short, female, male, drunk,
