really love this place. very small but cozy. they have a sit down menu as well as pies and sandwiches in the front fridge. we stopped in for a late lunch (right on 2pm) friday and although their breaky menu is up til 2pm, they didn't even hesitate to turn the poacher back on just for us! bf and i both ordered the bikini blowout. turkish bread with smashed avo, bacon, poached eggs and hollondaise! damn it was good! coffee was also reallyniceand scored a free coff after they forgot about the side of hash brown we ordered. was completely unnecessary but appreciated. the service was awesome. ft is a great addition to rye.

freaky tiki is certainly a decent option for brunch on the peninsula, but then again the competition isn't exactly fierce. what this place offers is some relatively uncomplicated options that make good use of fresh produce, and many of which will be attractive to the health conscious.

shared a special that consisted of pieces of eggplant, raw spinach, poached eggs crusted in dukkah, and some blobs of hummous. not an overly exciting dish, but very palatable nonetheless. the bikini blowout which was the bastard love-child of a menage-a-trois between an avocado, eggs benedict and some bacon was tasty, but not something i need to run back to re-order.

we also shared a carrot cake, which i should have realised may have been a bad idea when i noticed there were only two pieces left. i'm sure it had been great several days beforehand, but when it reached us was dry with an overly sweet icing. i personally don't think that it is okay to serve a cake that is several days passed its prime.

i had two coffees there, and while the latte art wasn't likely to make it to sf moma, it may have found anicespot at mona. regardless of how pretty the coffees looked, they were honestly some of the best i've had in the area. a berry smoothie was also good, although bordered on the sweet side.

overall freaky tiki is well priced, especially for the peninsula. it's a good option for coffee and food with a healthier bent. there is a fair amount of pre-prepared produce under the counter, and maybe this is best avoided for freshly made items from the menu. a decent choice if you're after brunch in the area, but i wouldn't be driving from the cbd to visit. i'd certainly have no qualms about coming back at some stage, but i'll be trying some other places beforehand.

what a great little place!. six of us had a spontaneous lunch here and vowed to return! friendly, unpretentious service and coffee as good as i've had in the cbd. the meals were tasty and reasonably priced too. a welcome alternative to the uptight overcrowded eateries in blairgowrie and sorrento.nicework guys!

awesome - loved it on every level. great friendly staff, quirky/cool set up. loved the range of salads. great variety available for gluten intolerance as well as vegetarians. coffee was terrific, nicefun music which wasn't too loud but just created aniceatmosphere.

we had spinach and ricotta pies with salads. the sa
ada's were amazing. others around us had burgers, some sort of open toasted sandwich, it all looked amazing.
we'll be back

fixed my hangover. had one of those bikini blowouts. i saw there was a table of 6 who had all ordered them and they looked amazing. it is their take on eggs benedict. great for a hangover, the hollandaise sauce has anicelemon kick, and they were not skimpish on the avocado. cheers for the yummy breakfast.

beyond below average. i wanted to writenicethings about the cafe, because the staff were really nice. however, i found the coffee and breakfast really awful, and based on the other reviews, i thought it was going to be amazing! the coffee was weak and milky. the breakfast took an hour (and it wasn't that busy). when it did come, it was pretty unpleasant, the turkish bread was like a piece of leather, and the whole thing was absolutely swimming in hollandaise sauce. i couldn't finish it.
