freaky tiki

coffee is always made to perfection. rich, smooth and always the perfect temp. i look forward to the variety of salads every time i visit and the effort in the presentation is greatly appreciated. always have agreatoption, this week i loved the fennel and orange salad. cant wait to try the spicy chorizo next week. food is made with love and service is extremely friendly and welcoming. thanks for fuelling my body with delicious and nutritious food in a relaxing space to ponder!

love this place! one of the best places for a good brunch and coffee in lovely rye. i love the breakfast turkish roll with pesto, cheese, egg and bacon 😋😋 chicken harissa burger 🍔 is also so good! my other half said it was to die for! staff are friendly and lovely and gave our dog bacon 🥓!greatvibe,greatoutside seating area with the sea breeze.

a cute little place tucked around the corner from rye woolworths. loved the coffee, not too sweet and not too bitter. shared a chicken burger, a beef burger and a tuna salad with my partner. burgers were a good size and were packed with flavour ( i personally preferred the chicken one). i was a little disappointed that the burgers didn’t come with chips, but the salad was agreat(and healthier) alternative and the meal was enough to leave the 2 of us stuffed. will definitely be back to try the sticky date pudding they had on the counter :)

really nice atmosphere, very reasonably priced food, generous portion sizing. had the bikini blowout- very tasty and plenty of food. banana smoothie wasgreattoo.

went to this cafe for the first time this morning. has a very friendly & inviting atmosphere.greatcoffee & delicious sour dough toast with vegemite. friendly staff. nice dog friendly area outside. will definitely come back again.

great food! staff are all over the place, so small no room to scratch yourself . i think the owner needs a lesson in running a business so many customers been turned away for different reasons, no serving the food on display... thats for tomorrow lol seriously !!! hours change as they please!! as i saidgreatfood tho pitty the people running it are so inexperienced it could be a real knock out this place!!!

really love this place. very small but cozy. they have a sit down menu as well as pies and sandwiches in the front fridge. we stopped in for a late lunch (right on 2pm) friday and although their breaky menu is up til 2pm, they didn't even hesitate to turn the poacher back on just for us! bf and i both ordered the bikini blowout. turkish bread with smashed avo, bacon, poached eggs and hollondaise! damn it was good! coffee was also really nice and scored a free coff after they forgot about the side of hash brown we ordered. was completely unnecessary but appreciated. the service was awesome. ft is agreataddition to rye.

freaky tiki is certainly a decent option for brunch on the peninsula, but then again the competition isn't exactly fierce. what this place offers is some relatively uncomplicated options that make good use of fresh produce, and many of which will be attractive to the health conscious.

shared a special that consisted of pieces of eggplant, raw spinach, poached eggs crusted in dukkah, and some blobs of hummous. not an overly exciting dish, but very palatable nonetheless. the bikini blowout which was the bastard love-child of a menage-a-trois between an avocado, eggs benedict and some bacon was tasty, but not something i need to run back to re-order.

we also shared a carrot cake, which i should have realised may have been a bad idea when i noticed there were only two pieces left. i'm sure it had beengreatseveral days beforehand, but when it reached us was dry with an overly sweet icing. i personally don't think that it is okay to serve a cake that is several days passed its prime.

i had two coffees there, and while the latte art wasn't likely to make it to sf moma, it may have found a nice spot at mona. regardless of how pretty the coffees looked, they were honestly some of the best i've had in the area. a berry smoothie was also good, although bordered on the sweet side.

overall freaky tiki is well priced, especially for the peninsula. it's a good option for coffee and food with a healthier bent. there is a fair amount of pre-prepared produce under the counter, and maybe this is best avoided for freshly made items from the menu. a decent choice if you're after brunch in the area, but i wouldn't be driving from the cbd to visit. i'd certainly have no qualms about coming back at some stage, but i'll be trying some other places beforehand.

delicious breakfast, coffee was really good, fresh juice. the meals weregreatvalue for money. staff were all very friendly, and had a good atmosphere.

my family of 4 visited freaky tiki for lunch today. the small cafe has agreathippy vibe with friendly service and a small selection of healthy dishes and burgers, freshly squeezed juices and coffees. the food was good for every reasonable prices. it is a bit disappointing when u arrive early for lunch and they have already run out of some items, but other than that, it is worth a visit.

thx urban spoon for helping me find this place. loved the chilli chicken burger, healthy (generous dose of salad) and yummy (jalapeños and chilli mayo were agreatcombo). coffee was pretty good too. probably paid a couple bucks more than if i'd gone with fish and chips from next door, but well worth it.

an awesome place for food and coffee. was down in rye for labour day and had agreatlunch there. coffee wasgreatso was the chili chicken burger. highly recommended!

what agreatlittle place!. six of us had a spontaneous lunch here and vowed to return! friendly, unpretentious service and coffee as good as i've had in the cbd. the meals were tasty and reasonably priced too. a welcome alternative to the uptight overcrowded eateries in blairgowrie and sorrento. nice work guys!

awesome - loved it on every level.greatfriendly staff, quirky/cool set up. loved the range of salads.greatvariety available for gluten intolerance as well as vegetarians. coffee was terrific, nice fun music which wasn't too loud but just created a nice atmosphere.

best spontaneous decision ever. stopped here for lunch-greatmeals , fresh and awesome tasty salads, friendly and cool staff - i highly recommend it :)
