food was amazing, topped only by the view and the hospitality. whilst it was busy, all the staff had time to say hi, smile and made the afternoon enjoyable. thefoodwas fabulous and the wine was great too. can't wait to come back and enjoy another afternoon on the deck.

4.5 sensationalfoodand experience
it was a perfect weathered day and whilst waiting for a table we did the wine tastings. when seated at our perfect view we ordered a bottle of white, chose the chef selection which everything we put in our mouths was moorish, especially the anchovies and for a bunch of people that generally aren't big on seafood (unlike myself) they loved it, the bread had that delicious traditional home-baked flavour. it's expensive but an experience to experience

what a pleasant surprise! i was not expecting much from a $38 tasting menu, but every dish was fantastic and without fault. the only exception was the meatballs which were slightly dry and lacked spice. in terms of appetite, i was quite satisfied despite the portions looking small! i was very happy in the variety of dishes offered, the service was fantastic and friendly andfoodcame at a quick pace. beautiful seating outside which i wish we could have used in better weather. would highly recommend.

will come back for:
+ salmon with miso mayo
+ mushroom sausage rolls

friendly staff, great views of the surrounds, and great morsels offoodgives me a great reason to be back! sitting on the deck, it would have been perfect if the weather was not as cold (perhaps a heater or two might do the trick?) but luckily the friendly staff had a whole bunch of throws to keep us warm.foodwas delicious and great to match with their local drop. what an easy way to spend the afternoon. will definitely bring friends back to this magical little spot.

loved foxeys so much that i went twice in one week! they have a great range of white, red & sparkling wines that you can taste. it’s free to taste 3 wines & $10 to try the whole lot! i bought a few bottles to take home!

on both occasions i opted for the chefs menu for lunch & was able to try a bit of everything. the staff were very accomodating & made moderations to the menu for vegetarians and for those requiring gluten free.

delicious, consistent & non pretentiousfoodfor a very reasonable price. great casual dining on the mornington peninsula!

a nice, small winery that’s good for a glass of wine on the deck.foodwise however we thought it was hit and miss. the tomato, feta and mint dish was a nice refreshing start. the bread with pistachio nuts and oil was also good. the mushroom sausage rolls were nice but needed more seasoning, a touch too plain. the meatballs was nice and juicy. the tuna and radicchio dish was a big let down, there was barely any tuna in the dish. don’t think we will rush back.

decided to come in for late lunch, 2pm.. it’s now 3:50 and we’re still waiting for three courses!

the kitchen is open, i’m pretty sure there are no chef’s.. the dude at the grill is around 20.

thefoodis basic, which isn’t a bad thing, but overly basic, and overly average.

of all dishes (tiny dishes of course), there was nothing notable.

meat balls were burned and a bit quail dry. maybe it was a busy day?

they ran out of the mushroom sausage roll, so whacked together a rice sushi ball with some sort of brown sauce on it. wasn’t informed what that was. just landed.

the blond staff member put my wife off side at the start telling her that the way she ordered wasn’t smart. (two adults ordered the ‘leave it to us, three children ordered 4 plates between them.)

apart from the location and setup which looked pretty nice, i don’t think this place should be above a 3.2 for overall experience.

what a special place to enjoy a delicious lunch. the service was wonderful and thefoodwas on par. the staff fed us and allowed us to sample almost everything and accommodatedfoodallergies. we tried the sparkling rose and pinot noir, both a must. we sat in the alfresco dining area enjoying the warm sunshine overlooking the lush green backyard. if you’re nearby go but go early it gets busy for good reason.

i've been to foxeys twice and it has a really nice environment. it's not big at all but everyone is friendly and it's relaxing sitting on the deck. it is busy though and there is a small menu but thefoodis nice. it's not super fancy but a perfect place if you're stopping somewhere for a small bite.

well finally i got to visit this place and well worth the visit for thefoodbut in saying that quite expensive per serve ($12) per tapas plate. one quail was $12 and there was 4 of us. a loaf of bread and oil and pistachio nuts also the same. continuing - 4 small tomatoes and mint with a tiny bit of mint - yep $12, same for 1/2 an avocado and 3 burnt (read caramelised walnuts) with prosciutto.

look, the menu is good but $12 for one inch mushroom ‘sausage’ rolls times 4?with a spicy tomato sauce was not worth the money a bit like the bread. the experience was good and the place is always packed when opened but i really question the price per dish.

they say they cater to vegetarians, etc etc but didn’t have soy milk!

would i go again - sadly no. there is so many more options on the peninsula maybe the cost is to cover the plentitude if staff.

worth dropping in on your way to the peninsula. if it's a nice day, enjoy your wine or meal on the deck, with the grassy view into the hills, it's very peaceful. at $12 a plate, it can quickly add up, but thefoodis fresh, simple but innovative.
they have a separate area for wine tasting, but i'm no connoisseur, especially on whites so i won't comment.
probably the busiest place in the area so be prepared to wait 15-20 mins for a seat if you go during peak time.
