this place is very good for vegos because meat here is largely treated as a side. nonethless, the options are not bad for light meals. i had thepoachedeggs with barley and a mandarin soda. very nice decor. service was very slow considering the complexity of the meal.

chai $4.50 black tea leaves have been steeped in milk and left to continue brewing in the pot. it’s flavoured with ginger and honey and contains a comforting, aromatic blend of spices. herb and olive rolled eggs, flowers, saffron whipped chevre, with pickled eschallot and carta da musica $17 perfectlypoachedeggs are rolled in a black olive ‘dirt’, carta da musica – an unleavened bread, is wafer thin and arrives placed on top of the entire dish. break this up into pieces to soak up the gooey yolk. it’s certainly an elegant tasting plate of food what with creamy chevre cheese and saffron. there’s plenty of rich hollandaise sauce spliced with sour pickled eschallots and a herby salad. there was a hairy caterpillar in one of the flowers, you can actually see the little guy on the right in one of the pink flowers. i let one of the staff know and he took my lunch guest away.  that same day, i emailed fleetwood macchiato, asking if i could get a discount for the next time i ate there. soon afterwards, i received an apology and a 20% discount on my next visit. we use fresh produce, and the edible flowers on that dish are very delicate and cannot be washed without destroying them; thus they can sometimes  attract stray friends like you encountered, as all fresh produce can. i thought it strange they didn’t mention checking the flowers for insects. if the flowers are so delicious to bugs, then they should be examined before presenting to people for consumption shouldn’t they?   cafe two ants, potts point there is a little cafe near elizabeth bay, it’s got a simple fit out, they make coffee and have an all day breakfast. service is very warm and friendly, i ordered a big breakfast here and this is what it looks like: generous big breakfast $15.50 it’s massive. it consists of twopoachedeggs, side of bacon, beef sausages, avocado, tomato, rocket, two thick slices of buttered sourdough and a pat of ricotta. beforehand, i was starving but by the end, i left a slice of sourdoug

friendly and cosy, it was perfect for a leisurely sunday brunch..i ordered the corn bread withpoachedeggs. it was refreshing and something new other than my staple of smashed avo. it was subtly sweet with the soft warm crumble of the corn bread and the yolk made a great dipping sauce.
i recommend this place highly, when you feel like something a little out of the inner city cafe ordinary.

nice little cafe in enmore, seems to promote a sustainable and charity conscious concept, selling keep cups and 'bread and butter project' bread.!! an array of sweet treats in the window was appealing but we preferred a meal option on this day. we got the cured kingfish, with pickles, a crunchy cracker and apoachedegg. we also got the corn bread with corn, andpoachedeggs. both were lovely light dishes. got a coffee (the large is extremely large) and a cold drip. nice little window for takeaway coffees. our service staff were lovely.

so this happened... delicious and warming coconut sticky rice withpoachedfruits ($16). would have preferred aborio or black rice rather than basmati. all the food at this hole in the wall café liked good and they were churning out a lot of coffee too. my friend had avocado on toast with chipotle oil, chili and nori which was a generous size and looked so tasty ($16.50).

fleetwood macchiato is a cute little cafe located in inner-west erskineville. it's perfect for including a decent walk in after visiting the eveleigh markets.  macchiato as their name suggests, fleetwood macchiato make some seriously good coffee. eggplant salad  a healthy and fresh mixture of eggplant, poachedeggs, purple carrot, shaved snow peas, asparagus, pickled radish; and topped with toasted buckwheat coriander toast.  cauliflower roasted cauliflower, poachedeggs, smoked garlic soubise, mint, parsley, sesame, collard greens. i especially love the flavour of the smoked garlic. the eggs in both dishes are perfectly cooked with a runny yolk. was thoroughly impressed with our lunch here, though we did think the wait was a tad too long. luckily, it was a leisurely weekend lunch so we didn't really notice the time, but by the time we did, we had been waiting about 30-40 minutes, and at one point we almost thought they had forgotten about our order. other than that, fleetwood macchiato is a lovely spot for great coffee and brunch.

the sweet smell of strong coffee as you walk past this tiny 22-seater cafe is enough to make you stop in your tracks. if that’s not enough to keep you lingering, the cakes and pastries displayed in the long glass cabinet surely will! the talented bunch at fleetwood macchiato, erskineville  are welcoming and make their own housemade preserves, pickles, jams and syrup for sodas (blood orange, lime, grapefruit etc).                          smashed egg breakfast roll 2 eggs, avocado, smoked chilli, pickles, mayo, cucumber and mesclun - added chorizo great to see a different take to the regular breakfast rolls seen at most cafes. perfect half-boiled eggs with soldiers of cucumber and pickles, a creamy dollop of mayo and because the boy couldn’t do without meat, he added their house-cured chorizo.poachedeggs with fennel, lemon, bottarga, eschallots and toast i tried some of mr.j’s breakfast pile and it was packed full of flavour! once again the eggs were

a little bit cheated ?. we've been to this coffee spot a number of times and find their coffee generally very good, on our last visit though i ordered a sandwich for breakfast which had 'egg' as it's main ingredient. the bread they use is quite delicious and if you have been here before you'll know that their menu is quite unique in the sense of ingredients they pair up. on this occasion though i was quite disappointed, this sandwich cost me a little over $10 ok so this may not seem like too much money but...as i lifted the lid on my bread i was cheesed off to find one rather small and sad looking semipoachedegg swimming on a bed of spinach and chutney! for this money i would have been happier to see at least 2 eggs seeing as this was the main draw card for this particular menu choice. considering the choice of great eateries in the vicinity i have to say unfortunately i would rather go some where else to feel like i get my money's worth : (

full marks to the food presentation (as seen in images above) – the combination of colours and the arrangement of ds’spoachedeggs was unexpected and beautiful. we also didn’t expect the mix of asian flavours – there’s some pickled ginger and chili sauce in my roll and thepoachedeggs tasted overwhelmingly citrusy.
