had agreatbrunch at fleetwood macchiato. it felt a little cramped inside but the food was very tasty, though the smoked chilli in the smashed egg roll certainly had a kick to it!

friendly and cosy, it was perfect for a leisurely sunday brunch..i ordered the corn bread with poached eggs. it was refreshing and something new other than my staple of smashed avo. it was subtly sweet with the soft warm crumble of the corn bread and the yolk made agreatdipping sauce.
i recommend this place highly, when you feel like something a little out of the inner city cafe ordinary.

fleetwood macchiato is a cute little cafe located in inner-west erskineville. it's perfect for including a decent walk in after visiting the eveleigh markets.  macchiato as their name suggests, fleetwood macchiato make some seriously good coffee. eggplant salad  a healthy and fresh mixture of eggplant, poached eggs, purple carrot, shaved snow peas, asparagus, pickled radish; and topped with toasted buckwheat coriander toast.  cauliflower roasted cauliflower, poached eggs, smoked garlic soubise, mint, parsley, sesame, collard greens. i especially love the flavour of the smoked garlic. the eggs in both dishes are perfectly cooked with a runny yolk. was thoroughly impressed with our lunch here, though we did think the wait was a tad too long. luckily, it was a leisurely weekend lunch so we didn't really notice the time, but by the time we did, we had been waiting about 30-40 minutes, and at one point we almost thought they had forgotten about our order. other than that, fleetwood macchiato is a lovely spot forgreatcoffee and brunch.

matthew. well i heard so manygreatthings about fleetwoods so i got up early on my saturday morning and made my way there. as i arrive the place is still quiet 4 people on front of me, i waited over 15 minutes without saying anything, 20 minutes goes by and i demanded my money back which was a massive issue for some reason and then left feeling deflated and very very dissatisfied and without my morning coffee. not the best way to start your weekend fleetwoods not impressed!!!!

the sweet smell of strong coffee as you walk past this tiny 22-seater cafe is enough to make you stop in your tracks. if that’s not enough to keep you lingering, the cakes and pastries displayed in the long glass cabinet surely will! the talented bunch at fleetwood macchiato, erskineville  are welcoming and make their own housemade preserves, pickles, jams and syrup for sodas (blood orange, lime, grapefruit etc).                          smashed egg breakfast roll 2 eggs, avocado, smoked chilli, pickles, mayo, cucumber and mesclun - added chorizogreatto see a different take to the regular breakfast rolls seen at most cafes. perfect half-boiled eggs with soldiers of cucumber and pickles, a creamy dollop of mayo and because the boy couldn’t do without meat, he added their house-cured chorizo. poached eggs with fennel, lemon, bottarga, eschallots and toast i tried some of mr.j’s breakfast pile and it was packed full of flavour! once again the eggs were

a little bit cheated ?. we've been to this coffee spot a number of times and find their coffee generally very good, on our last visit though i ordered a sandwich for breakfast which had 'egg' as it's main ingredient. the bread they use is quite delicious and if you have been here before you'll know that their menu is quite unique in the sense of ingredients they pair up. on this occasion though i was quite disappointed, this sandwich cost me a little over $10 ok so this may not seem like too much money but...as i lifted the lid on my bread i was cheesed off to find one rather small and sad looking semi poached egg swimming on a bed of spinach and chutney! for this money i would have been happier to see at least 2 eggs seeing as this was the main draw card for this particular menu choice. considering the choice ofgreateateries in the vicinity i have to say unfortunately i would rather go some where else to feel like i get my money's worth : (

smooth. the coffee here was ridiculously smooth and rich too. the smells coming from the open kitchen made my mouth water in wanting even though i had a large (bon)soy late in hand and had only just eaten. the cakes look scrumptious and i was really impressed by the chefs attention to detail and care when we observed him putting the final garnishes on the muffins. the brownies looked just like they are meant to: rich, dense and dimensional, with the right amounts of crunch, chewiness and gooieness. the quinoa cake and banana bread equally appetising. i wanted it all (but with no tasting plate on offer and an inability to pick just one, to mygreatdisappointment my boyfriend wouldnt let me have any).
