love me some flatire!!!. one of my favorite places for a great burger with tons of variety and a cool atmosphere. my kids love to go and have s'mores for dessert at the table, all the fixings to make your own. over the weekend, decided to mix things up a little and tried the "flatire famous fish tacos" and absolutely loved them. consistently great food, awesome service and a fun environment makes flatire a family favorite!

we enjoyed out $1 beers on saturday afternoon. even though i do think the burgers would be better if they were fresh (i think they're frozen patties), they dress them up nicely to make up for it. the sweet potato fries are really good, and everyone in our party enjoyed the meal. it's not the best burger i've ever had, but with the right company it makes for a fun afternoon on the patio.

liked it. we were four adults and a baby, got there at a perfect time to get the last large table. it was very cool inside and i like it that way. i had the tree hugger w/o cheese and with the turkey burger. all the veggies and crunchies were really yummy, but the meat needed some flavor, there was salt and pepper on the table. i had the toasted rye bread.. very nice. everyone finished their sandwiches. we had an order of onion rings that we shared and they were very nice,,crispy and not greasy. one thing, the waitress was very attentive and back often but when she heard us talk about going somewhere else for a dessert (later in the day) she actually rolled her eyes that we were not having it there. we laughed and she still got 20%

chili-cheese fries!!!. burger: had the blowout...with the fried egg...it was "ok"...i've had burgers with eggs on them (see my review of republic gastro pub). this one was nothing special; the didn't help nor did it hurt. it was "just a buger". i've had better and i have had much worse.

fries: now for the actual reason i will go back...the chili-cheese fries were wonderful. chili + cheese + green + onions + peppers + ranch dressing + the fries themselves = amazing (ok, so i was joined by a math teacher, she just rubbed off on me)

if you go to flat tire expecting the best burger of your life you will be let down, but the burger is far from bad. but if you go for the chili-cheese fries, you're life will be enriched!

good food- bad atmosphere. decided to opt for the groupon last week to try out this new burger joint. took the family on a friday night and parking was a nightmare. the outdoor seating that was advertised was roped off and desolate looking. after waiting over 20 minutes in the heat because there is nowhere to stand inside, we finally get seated at a table in an extremely noisy, cafe style restaurant. every table was elbow to elbow and i'm pretty sure the ac wasn't working in there because it was hot. quick, decent service. burgers had a lot of options and were very delightful. fries are additional charge and leave much to be desired. they were nothing more than grocer freezer fries i can purchase and cook myself. a burger place like that could go far with their own fry. or at least a decent frozen one. not sure if i'll be back...

we really like it.. we've been to flatire burgers three times, and each experience has been excellent. the staff does a nice job with crowded quarters and hungry patrons. i would complain about the wait, but that wouldn't get me very far. play angry birds or something if you have to wait very long.

my highest recommendations are the green chile burger (on a whole wheat bun) and the hell's kitchen burger (on a jalapeño bun & i prefer chicken on this one). both are served piping hot and delicious. the chips were probably out of a bag, but the salsa seemed to be freshly-made. our waitress was attentive and nice.

i just wish i would have purchased more of the $8 for $20 groupons when they were available.

when there and frankly wonder about the caliber of people who are giving such rave reviews. now i don't want to turn folks away,but, this food was by far the worst i have ever had. the prices are too high, but the worst part of my visit was being told if i didn't like it,don't come back. and i assure you i won't.

i have tried this place three times.. i like the decor and toppings. however the meat is just average. i wouldn't know for sure but i wouldn't be surprised if they use preformed burger patties. the meat just isn't seasoned as well as other places.

fried pickles weren't great, but the burgers (why you came) were amazing. took us a while to get seated, but it was rush time on a busy night.

only good if you are trapped in the 'burbs. i went here and was very disappointed. the food was subpar. the fried pickles were so-so, i'd expect the same quality from sonic, and the burger i had was just 'meh'. it was far below the standard set by irma's, and i had a better burger three days later at barry's on 30th/may. the decor was annoying as well.

all in all, if you live in edmond in a ticky-tacky box, drive an suv, and eat crappy food all day long because you don't know any better, i can understand that you might like this place. i'm around 16th/classen, i found the 30 minute drive not at all worth it, and i would recommend irma's, barry's, nic's, even bunny's over this place. avoid.

over the top (price). tried it once, that's enough for me trendy,burger chic, back to bunny's for me !!
