flatire burgers

fun burger joint. this is a fun stop for a burger...always busy. good burgers, especially served on the wheat buns.

i liked it; but, it is just too expensive to feed a family of five, which ended up costing over $55.00 for burgers and fries.

been hearing about this place for awhile, so we tried it out of curiosity today. tasty buns, nice thick patties and slices of cheese. the "burger sauce" appears to just be thousand island dressing. the fries are typical. pretty good burger and not too terribly overpriced. we had a cheeseburger, onion burger, an order of fries and two drinks for $19.99.

wonderful. had the occasion to have lunch here on saturday. great food and great service. the cheeseburger was cooked to perfection and the sweet potato fries were very good. my wife's onion burger was equally good. a little crowded but it is to be expected with food this good. don't pass this place up.

good...not exceptional though.. in comparison to other burger joints, red robin (yum). your dollar would stretch further for quality and quantity and best spent at a red robin. more fluff than whats necessary on the outside. concentration on the servers and their attention to detail on the inside would be nice. seat yourself when you enter. flat tire was good but too little in comparison for the price we paid. we paid $60 for three kids and 2 adults and 2 entrees. the entree' were the fried pickles which were very good and the loaded cheese fries which where good too but very small for a family of 5. served on an 8" diameter bowl on an aluminum sheet. alot of the cheese stuck to the aluminum and would tear. .no plates (the kitchen was still washing them). the kids had chicken fingers and a cheese burger. the wife and i had the jalepeno burgers which were good with the sautee'd onions but only fit in the palm of my hand. this occured this past saturday around 6 in the evening. sorry flat tire we were left somewhat deflated.

consistently good. my family eats at flatire about 6 times a year. we always get burgers, fries and smores and have never had a bad meal. the burgers are very good, not great. and the fries are just right. we have never had a poor waiter/ress. the parking sucks, so we park in the stripmall across the street and walk over. i've never felt that it has been too pricey.

why all the hype?. back when i was as student at uco, this was the place to be. i finally decided to meet my wife here one day after work. besides not being able to find parking, the visit started fine. service was ok, not great. food was ok, not great. the problem lies in the pricing. i think i paid well over $30 for the two of us. nothing special, just burgers and a split order of cheese fries. this place would be special if the prices were about 25% lower. as it is, i won't be back. not good enough to justify the cost.

love the college vibe.... the college feel reminds me of my ol' glory days and the food is very good. it's definitely a healthier alternative. also the sweet potato fries are the bomb!!

not just a burger place. don't be fooled by the word "burgers" in the name - flatire has the best fish tacos in the okc area. also a great patio for fair weather days. parking is a mess but hey it's free!

great atmosphere - food is descent, but not special. a fun place.

good burger. tried the burgers here and while they are pretty good. the service was good. not a gourmet burger, but filled me up and made me happy.

too much hype. i'm not sure what all the hype is about this place. probably has something to do with it being in edmond. food is good but not worth the wait. several other burger places in the metro that are much better. edmond uber alles!

just kind of blah.. my husband and i met up with our son and his girlfriend there. our first impression wasn't great because of the parking situation, which is no parking. it looked like it could be a fun place when the weather is nice, just to hang on the patio with a few drinks, but it was sweltering the day we went. the hostess/wait staff were very gracious in bringing us drinks while we waited. when we did get inside to our table, the tables were so tiny. we had a 4 top and really it was for 2 people. we are average size, just like a little elbow room, so we're not bumping into each other while eating! the menu selection was decent, had alot of different options for burgers and buns. our order was delivered promptly and hot. the food was just alright honestly. i thought the burger meat had a strange texture and flavor. could be i'm used to better beef. i do prefer irma's. it is a cute college type restaurant. if you were in the area, i'd say try it, but don't make a special trip out of it.
