flatire burgers

my wife and i ate there at sort of an off time so it wasn't that busy, thefoodwas good, oddly enough neither of us had a hamburger, my wife does want to go back to try those.

come either with a group or ready to take home leftovers. the parking sucks, just beware. thefoodis spectacular and the portions are huge. jose's chicken nachos are phenomenal. they will feed at least two people without ordering entrees. the burgers were big, and made very well. was too full to try the desserts, but next time we've saving room for smores.

if you haven't been to flatire lately, you need to come back. they've added a few delicious items to thefoodmenu (tuna burger was fantastic!) and drink menu (perfect martini and mojitos were great)

pretty solid casual barfoodtype restaurants with some tasty burgers.  large thick beef patty on the burger, on a choice of bakery bun served as it should be, wrapped in paper.  you don't want to waste that juicy goodness on your fingers.  had the grilled onions, and they were grilled exactly as they should.

drink menu was great, and many of their "house" brands are anything from lower end, especially the scotch.  uncommon in edmond, but exactly how a local bar that respects its clientele.  definitely not a chain, another plus.  wish their fries had been up to their burger standard, as they were frozen and nothing special.  fresh would have been much better, or if you have to do frozen perhaps some signature dipping sauce, or a little more seasoning. 

overall a good choice, nice place, nice food, nice people.

good american restaurant. you can sit outside what is good for oklahoma weather.foodwas better average. i had tuna salad and my friends had some burgers. service was without problem.

i know why they called it "flattire". because "flat stomach" is impossible to achieve here! i read some of the review before deciding to meet my father and sister here for lunch. service speed was much desired, but i can't put that on the waiter. he was friendly, informative and attentive during our wait. i enjoyed the atmosphere, but it was just a little noisy for my father who's already a little hard of hearing (lol)...plus it didn't help that i chose the table right next to a little league baseball team. i also steered clear of the appetizers this round. i must admit, it's rather disappointing any restaurant feels the need to sell chips and salsa / queso...but i totally get why they do. moving on...my dad is french fry freak and knows what he is talking about. the fries were very good...and piping-hot fresh. my dad can tell you exactly how long any fry was cooked, how long it sat in the oil along with temp....and also how long a fry sat in the bottom of a dripping basket. they were a little over salted for me, but not to the point it turned my mouth wrong side, out. again, my personal preference. i also think they'd be better if they were fresh cut, daily...and would have made a huge difference. we all loved our burgers. very tasty and cooked well (definitely not overdone.) the wheat bun was actually my favorite part of the burger. it was pillow soft and almost buttery. i know they were using a lean quality beef, but there was something about the ground beef texture that reminded me of mechanically separated turkey meat that i was not a fan of, but we are talking aboutfoodand texture ranks lowest for me when i eat. if anything, the patty would have been my "complaint". since we already weren't fat enough we all 3 dove in for ice cream cones. now that was fun! we were seriously 30 napkins deep after we finished them. we have pictures for proof. i'd highly recommend you save room to have their custom ice cream. i will definitely be back!

the best burgers!. this place is fantastic. the staff are always incredibly friendly, and thefoodis amazing. even though my boyfriend and i live in okc, we always make the trip to flatire when we want burgers. i always get the mushroom burger; it's awesome!

came here for my birthday lunch with friends as we've always had a good experience. this time was different. the table was dirty. the chair had syrup on it. thefoodtook forever. my order was wrong. the turkey burger was absolutely horrible. it was flavorless and was barely cooked. very disappointed.

tasteless food. ate there this afternoon for the first time. i had chile burger, husband had the grilled cheese burger. chile burger was supposed to have chilies, pepper-jack cheese and chipotle mayo. i could not taste one of those items. the burger on both of our sandwiches was completely tasteless, and was dripping with grease (70%/30% style meat). actually, we both commented that the burgers did not appear grilled, flat-top or otherwise, they seemed microwaved. the cheese burger was a greasy mess and tasteless as well. my consensus is if you are a fastfoodeater most of the time this will be right up your alley. but, if you are not a fastfoodperson and have a discerning palette then you may want to look else where for a good burger. we only ate 1/2 our burgers (because we were pretty hungry when we got there) and a few of the fries. the fries, however, were pretty good, but needed salting.

we love flatire burgers. have been there a few times. we both love it. was there a few weeks ago and we sat upstairs on the deck. it was beautiful out and a perfect day for that. our waiter was amazing. i wish that i could remember his name .foodwas great as always !!!!

greatfoodand service. best i have seen in quite some time. not only was our waiter great with my family and i. so was the entire staff. then to top it off thefoodwas great. had the wagon wheel appetizer and salsa, guacamole, and queso was great. then we had burgers and they were awesome too and they had a wheat bun option. didn't hurt that it was dollar beer sat as well. very impressed. we will be back. keep up the good work

it was horrible!! started with the air set at 58 degrees.... then, thefoodwas awful....made choosing this place over the garage the biggest mistake i've ever made.... and to top it off...the parking lot almost ate our 650....if you drive a car worth more than 10k...i wouldn't chance it!! won't ever be back...ever!!

flatire burgers are a flat fail. flatire burgers won't make you sick or give you the runs, but beyond that they're lousy burgers and lousier wait staff. why do they employ so many pre-teen kids. it's like a version of highscool musical in a sweatshop. the kids clearly don't want to be there. they seem like they're all suffering from ipod separation anxiety when you're stating your order. no wonder they can't get it right. the restaurant decor is over the top and the burgers don't deliver. i mean come on, fried foods are one of the easier things to cook properly and flatire burgers managed to mess those up as well. hire a good fry cook ya turkeys. the salads are terrible and are made with very cheap ingredients. i got the sense that the pre-teens in back were having a good laugh. the burgers aren't well prepared and they sadly try to "spice" things up by adding grossly oversized toppings that don't work. adding large chunky cuts of avocado to a lousy burger doesn't make it better. thefoodthey serve lacks skill in it's preparation and especially flavor. for all the hype the burgers are equivalent to red robin's or fuddruckers. that means i haven't been back since.

fatire makes for flat meal. i didn't enjoy flatire burgers. things immediately got off to a rocky start. undercooked cheese fries combined with a mediocre burger hit me with a one-two punch of mediocrity. my stomach was helpless against the bland, boring meal that was overly salted and stale. there are plenty of unique burger experiences in oklahoma but this restaurant'sfoodis about as exciting as paying taxes in an irs wax museum. i will commend the wait staff for being friendly. a ray of light in an overall dark and dismal dinner experience.

family favorite. i love both thefoodas well as the atmosphere at flatire. with a large selection of burgers as well as other menu selections, such as 3 types of fish tacos, you can't go wrong. a good selection of beers and then finishing off dinner with a family size order of s'mores makes this a favorite for our family get togethers.
