they started buying cheap ingredients, hired surly servers and decided to cheat their customers. in what world does a 4.79 normal sized burrito with no special toppings cost $8.25!! used to be great, sucks now. make the trip to juan's!

amazing!!!!!. visiting from indiana and we were crazy cheap mexican food. this place is amazing. their baja shrimp tacos are to die for! their queso is thick and delicious!!!

the tortillas are really small so you end up with all of your toppings on the plate instead of in your mouth, the employees all look and act like they hate their job, the shrimp was subpar and the pulled pork was cold and watery. the sauces and the felipe’s special was decent though.

it's always hopping in here. i love the deep fried chimichanga. the bar is a cool place to hang out. the bartenders have always been engaging. it definitely has that french quarter personality. it typically has pleanty of tourist but because of the atmosphere they tend to be pretty laid back and full of conversation.

i was totally shocked how good the food is, how it's made and the service. it's perfect to randomly pick and walk in to get some good mexican food.

no mas, no mas, pictures are worth a thousand words, as a chef i'd be embarrassed to serve this tamale. unless something else comes out of this kitchen with better quality i'm only coming here for atmosphere. it was all corn meal, ok $3for corn meal, spare me the tragedy!

good food for a reasonable price. great alternative to the other local restaurants nearby. the tacos were really good and cost less than $5 for two. good deal!

7/4/2016 excellent! our family of 5 planned a new orleans outing then searched for a suitable restaurant and found felipe's. once you get passed the idea of a standard sit-down restaurant you'll do fine here. think of ordering like a subway sandwhich... where each person orders their entrée and chooses their toppings. i had the baja style shrimp tacos and made it a combo. the taste blew me away! i tried my daughter's quesadilla which was very good too. everyone was pleased and the self-serve drink station was refreshing on this very hot day. we left paying under $60 including the tip with all 5 of us making our meals a combo by adding a drink and chips. this us a fantastic informal spot for lunch or quick dinner. can't wait to go back.

best, fresh, california style mexican food in south louisiana.. my family and i have gone there many times and it never disappoints. the have the best food, the ingredients are fresh and the service is fast. i have recently tried the one in slidell and i have to say, i was even more impressed by the food and the location.

i've eaten mexican everywhere from brooklyn to "the bay" and as far as new orleans is concerned felipes' burrito is the shiz...more bang for your buck especially being in the quarter.

i wanted a taco salad which was a crispy, flour tortilla bowl filled with shredded lettuce, pico de gallo, refried beans, black beans, fried gulf shrimp, crumbled queso, creamy guacamole and a dollop of sour cream.
