simple and stunning. highly recommended. really delicious food - we had panini for a late lunch, full of great flavour, and a couple of baked sweets, including chai with white chocolate cookies. sweet staff, flexible with french or english. can't wait to go back nexttimewe're in the ottawa region.

firsttimehere but will definitely be coming back! i had the dutch baby and can honestly say i have never had anything like this in the ottawa-gatineau region! you can tell that they don't sacrifice on quality and the portions were very generous--great value for what it was. very sophisticated flavours but still not pretentious. service was great, the kitchen is extremely clean, and the food was amazing...not to mention their desserts look stunning. love it and can't wait to try another creation!!!

yum!. i am from alberta and everytimei pass through quebec, i have to stop for a bite at edgar! their breakfasts are sublime and i have never been able to eat a panini from anywhere else since indulging in an edgar panini! can't wait to be back :)

by far the best brunch. very enjoyed this restaurant! my secondtimehere and this place never seems to disappoint! great service, very friendly but the food is great! going to come every sunday for brunch

such a gatineau gem!. my chicken-chorizo and bell pepper-veggie paninis were simply excellent. the ingredients just worked so well together that their tastes perfectly complemented each other. but it was the bread that was the real standout. perfectly grilled, the aroma, texture, and taste of the bread were out of this world. not that i want them to raise their very reasonable prices, but i would happily pay twice as much and still not complain.

the potential is there.. we had been hearing about this place for a while since we moved from mtl to ot. we wanted to try it since we heard such good things about the joint. the decor of this tiny joint is cute and slightly trendy.

the meals:
pomme d'api 7/10. lacked flavour a bit. had potential for greatness.
panini végétarien : 7/10. too much mayo, conflicted with the goat cheese's taste.
bread was hard, think it spent too muchtimein the panini machine

desserts:
lemon beignet : 8/10. good lemon custard.
ice cream cookie sandwich: 9/10 lovely.

the service was less than stellar. i know it was a really hot day but a little acknowledgement of your customers would be nice. we pretty much sat ourselves. there was no 'hello', no 'welcome'. after we ate and the waitress picked up our plates, we were never offered to order dessert or anything else. we had to stop the waitress to get some desserts after waiting waned on us a bit. mind you the place is a hole in the wall we should not have to wait 15 minutes after we ate to be offered desserts. we quickly paid and left the place.

would we go back? we are not sure. the food was alright and a bit over priced for sandwiches. but bad service can ruin the experience. we are not sure if this place is suppose to be a restaurant or just a take out joint. if it's a take-out then that can explain the mediocre service (not following up with customers about drinks, desserts or whatever else they may fancy from the menu).

one good thing about our food outing is that we discovered a new area of gatineau.

the prices are reasonable, the food is terrific, the service is warm, it’s only drawback is its size, you may have to line up to take your turn at the counter. a year later, one might suggest it could betime(dare i say)... to grow.

best ceasar sandwich ever!. i went there today for the firsttimeand it was amazing! best paninis i have ever had and also the ceasar chicken is the best ceasar chicken sandwich ever made and possibly the best sandwich in general. i know there menu changes but every thing we tried (italian and ceasar chicken paninis and donuts) were amazing... lots of bees around there tough... only negative comment
