awesome littlebrunchspot. the menu changes, but they always seem to have great options. the food was amazing and if it weren't so out of the way for me, i'd eat there all the time. the only real complaint that i have is that it's too small which is a pain because they can get busy, so there's often a line and the limited seating they have isn't all comfortable. but it's still definitely worth it for how good they are.

i've been coming here for almost 3 years and i believe it is the bestbrunchplace in town. everything she makes is so thoughtful, each item on the plate has its own texture and distinct flavour.

she changes her menu every week and according to the season. i always get excited coming back because i know i will get a new experience every time.

small and popular restaurant specializing in weekend brunches, baked treats, ready-to-heat meals, and gourmet sandwiches. bestbrunchin ottawa! chef marysol's inventive genius means every plate is an eclectic combination of delicious and compatible flavours. arrive before opening if you don't want to wait for a seat!

dutch-o-dutch-o baby. simply too good.
perfectbrunchafter weekend morning gym classes.

had the luck to be seated at the counter, facing their little kitchen area, watching the food being delivered.
had their dutch baby and peameal - both had mouth-watering presentation; each and every element on the plate was just so lovely, and so was the atmosphere in this place.

jay especially loved the veggie base in the peameal dish. so fresh and flavorful.
dee's comment was that he could easily go for another peameal..
and we both were daydreaming having a place just like this while waiting on our food...

the pork belly in dutch baby was a tad try, but didn't kill the joy to be enjoyed at all. lovely sweet crisp on the edge.

so we didn't even try to resist the temptation coming from their sweets and desserts displaying cabinet which was just placed beside us. edgar bar and mini almond cake. they were not something to wow for, but pretty well made and definitely a nice finish for our meal.

would totally return to try other items on their menu.

edgar is truly a gem. the moment you walk in, you'll feel a great vibe. although the staff and menus are in french, you won't be judged if you prefer to speak english. the staff at edgar are incredibly friendly and extremely attentive to their customers.brunchis a must here. their menu is small (just like the place) and changes weekly. the dutch baby crepe souffle with pork belly and apple compote is a great choice if you want salty and sweet. if you don't feel like brunch, their soups, sandwiches and pastries are always available. try the beignet du citron, you won't regr

good food...standing room only. thebrunchand regular menu are both amazing, the coffee is fantastic, but even if you arrive before it opens - you still cant get a seat. the staff also let parties without the whole group present occupy a larger table while others are left standing or splitting up to sit - which is really annoying.

incroyable!. quel excellence pour un petitbrunchdu dimanche. dommage qu'on doit attendre tellement longtemps pour une table… i found the waitress very helpful as she guided our all-english neighbour table through the specials in perfect english.

possibly the bestbrunchi've ever had. went with two others, and we each ordered one of the threebrunchoptions. all were delish, but my "dutch baby" was the best (imo). it is quality over quantity- so yummy. the service was friendly and they didn't rush us out after we finished our meal. too bad it only seats about 15 people tho. you could never go with more than a group of three.... will definitely be going back.

brunchtastic!. what a scrumptious and innovative meal i had at edgar's recently! true, i was starving after a morning of hard skiing but the experience of enjoying a lovingly prepared, absolutely divinebrunchat edgar's right after made the day all the more perfect. edgar's is tiny neighbourhood restaurant but it feels warm and hospitable and the lemon brioche is to die for. my only small critique was with the chai latte that could have used less milk, more spice but other than that i would gladly go over and over again to this place for breakfast, lunch, brunchand whatever else can possibly lead me over to the hull-side of things

five stars all around!. thebrunchwas one of the best meals i have ever eaten in ottawa and one of the best brunches i have had ever! not to mention the outrageous baked goods and homemade chai!

each salsa and sauce was obviously carefully constructed by the chef to bring out the rich flavors of the food without making the meal heavy. the texture, seasoning and food presentation was on par with the best restaurants in new york (where i used to live before moving to ottawa). the cozy, but modern and artsy atmosphere and remote location gives the place an extra special feel that makes you think you are a true 'hipster' for finding the place. the service was amazing and the people working there so friendly and down-to-earth it is impossible to imagine a more welcoming place. must try to the ginger cookie - perfectly cooked - crunchy on the outside and warm and doughy on the inside. amazing! five stars all around.
