in-grained in the membrane. teensiest lil cafe off the beaten path, definitely limited seeding. as much as i have been kneading to try their dutch baby it was a sunny afternoon and decided better off bread on the patio.

i ordered the veggie panini (olive bread pressed with red and yellow peppers, tomatoes, avocado, black olives, goat cheese and cheddar cheese) $6.95. avocado was cumin through the rye! messy! so, so messy! but oh so delicious :) thissandwichwas not loafing around and packed some serious cheese! cooled down with some of their home made iced tea. edgar, you definitely know how to steep. please bottle and sell that stuff.

the menu is a chalkboard that changes daily based on seasonal ingredients, so i don't see this cafe going stale anytime soon.

this is a tiny little place that is as organic as they come! had the mac and cheese. (7/10) pork and pestosandwich(8/10) and homemade ice cream sandwich. the owner also owns odile which is closing in 2 weeks. owner is burning out! but this little place offers some good food from people who obviously know the 'art' of cooking. try a take out. you won't regret it!

droooool. too delicious to put into words! finding this cafe wasn't too challenging, but finding a seat can certainly be. this place is tiny! however, it's definitely worth the wait! when my boyfriend and i arrived, we waited in line only a few minutes until two seats became available (i wouldn't go here in big groups if i were you). there were about 3 lunch and 3 breakfast options to choose from on a chalkboard. i had the beef 'bœuf'sandwichand it did not disappoint! one of the best sandwiches in my life! no contest! i also had a chai latte, which was served in a mason jar with a handle. this was quite good also. there was were also many desserts and take-home foods to drool over in a display. you have to go here!!

if you want to find a good place to eat after your visit at the canadian museum of civilisation, head out to edgar. this little quaint hidden gem restaurant makes grill sandwiches which have interesting flavour profiles, in-house soups and yummy desserts. reminds me of my favourite soup &sandwichplace olive et gourmando. i ordered the vegetarian sandwich, the veggies were roasted, melted well with the goat cheese and the spicy mayo. simple, irresistible and delicious! their lemon beignets are a must order, soft like a cake with a tangy and creamy custard.

simple good food. we went on saturday at noon and it looked pretty busy but we had no problem getting a seat right away. we both ordered the jerk chicken panini, i ordered the side of veggies and my husband had a "grain" sald. the sides were good and the bread they used for thesandwichwas absolutely delish. the filling of thesandwichwas tasty but i didnt feel like i was transported back to jamaica but tasty nonetheless. my one complaint is the number of wasps around. as we were sitting outside, the buzzed around us and other customers. they really need a deterent which i am suprised they havent done (or maybe they have) but the wasp situation was insane. that being said, i'd definitely go back but will try and sit inside next time.
