duke's no longer a favorite place. sadly, i'll have to take duke's off our "to-go" places. i was first introduced to this franchise in 90's. yes, it is obviously kitschy and a tourist trap. but the portions were large (along with the price) and the service was excellent. sadly, they've discovered that neither matters since people will come anyway. we waited an abnormally long time for the waiter to show up to take our order. i ordered my dad the very expensive lobster (twin) tail dinner. they were so tiny that my mom had to give him some of her pasta since he was still hungry afterwards. and the endless salad bar included with each meal has gone away. now, it's a $3 surcharge. it was fun and i had good memories, but the last one was the killer.
