worth the wait to order. trust me! highly recommend the half and half seafood po boy w shrimp and oysters!

very over-rated. saw domilise on national tv and looked forward to eating there. waited 30 minutes outside just to get in and order. i went for the oyster po-boy and was very disappointed. i saw that the oysters were already fried and then the sandwich maker put them back into the fryer...a fryer that contained old smelly grease. the oysters came out well overcooked and greasy. rather than change the grease she skimmed the residue off the top. then, i stood in front of the bartender several minutes while he shot the $hit with a couple sitting there. finally, i got to order a barqs. with no where to sit, we went to car to eat my terrible, terrible po-boy, grease and all. what a bargain at $15.50 plus drink. a complete rip off! never again.

i love the old school charm of this place. it has been around forever and the walls tell its story. this unassuming bar and poboy shop is lined with autographed memorabelia from the most interesting people. the bar tender, ray, has worked there for decades! there's a surprisingly good selection of beer. this is definitely a gem of uptown new orleans. don't blink because you'll miss the place- there's very little signage!

most overrate po boy?. their poboys aren't even good, but people fawn over them. their poboys are much too overpriced also. i haven't been back since 2007 because of this.

roast beef. i have been ordering the small roast beef dressed from domilese's since 1962. the quality and flavor has never changed. take it from a born and raised uptown yat, this is naturally nawlins as it gets.

great. like most of the other reviewers, i have to say that the roast beef isn't that great, nor is the gravy. but the oysters my friends, they are perfect. domilise's has the best oyster sandwich in the city. get it with swiss cheese and gravy and you'll be happy. plus the atmosphere is cozy and timeless.

yum city. if you need cleanliness to eat, avoid this spot, but if you like your food fresh and made to order.... and have a soft spot for those southern lunch counters of the past... this is your place. the best oyster/shrimp po'boy, lovingly arranged by the ladies, and washed wonderfully down with a barq's... life is good.

over-rated. we live 1/2 block off annunciation and are by this place frequently. their roast beef po-boys use pre-cooked packinghouse beef and canned "gravy".

closed on sunday, monday & thursday.

redeeming factor is cold beer in cans. hard to find canned beer around here. we cycle & need cans to carry on bikes.

remember to step up to men's room.

time machine. "$14 for fried shrimp on bread?" hell no, it's $14 for a piece of freakin' nirvana.

this is one of those institutions that makes n.o. the funky great place that it is. it's a time machine - i went back a couple years after leaving n.o. and i swear the exact same people were sitting in the exact same place and i had the exact same piece of nirvana - large shrimp dressed extra hot sauce. i don't know how they do it, but this sandwich should be the definition of synergy because the whole truly is greater than the sum of it's parts (special props to leidenheimer bakery for the exceptional bread).

barq's and a poboy. go get an shrimp/oyster poboy here and wash it down with a barq's. kind of difficult to find but well worth the hunt.

it might have taken a few months, but i’m in new orleans and i’m finally going to try domilise’s. like most of the restaurants i try in new orleans, this one came by recommendation. supposedly domilise’s has the best roast beef po-boy in town. even though
