one of my many stops in new orleans for famous eats. my dad had a catfishpoboy and i had a fried shrimp po-boy. restaurant was deplorable and filthy beyond description. catfishpoboy was excellent and the shrimppoboy was decent but the shrimp or cooked too hard and we're of the small variety ala popcorn. glad i went but i will probably hit the other places like parkway or back to mothers

po boy heaven! probably the bestpoboy i've ever had. i had the small shrimp and it was still huge. my husband had the hot sausage. the woman working the counter was so sweet. she let me and my husband sample between the 2 sausages (mild and hot), we chose the hot. you would probably miss it if you weren't paying attention. would recommend this place to anyone.

domilie’s is new orleans, it’s always up there in any list of bestpoboys in the city, and i was excited to find out why! it’s tucked away on a quiet, nondescript street well and truly away from the french quarter, which suited us just fine; while we loved the craziness of it all, it was nice to get out and see a different part of the city. we actually walked the full 5 miles (8km) from our hotel to domilise’s, taking our time and enjoying the stroll down magazine street, through the garden district, with a stop at district donuts sliders brew for a donut to fuel the journey . when we finally got the the iconic lemon yellow, weather boarded eatery, we were hungry and ready to put all those burnt calories back into our bellies, and then some. we were welcomed warmly like old friends overdue for a visit. we were happily and proudly guided through our options, and invited to please take a seat while our sandwiches were put together. it was like checking into the most wonderful sandwich hotel on earth! we ordered twopoboys to share, the roast beef (top) and the fried shrimp (bottom), both

omg-great po' boys!. one in our party during our most recent visit to no said we need to try this place. she said it was the bestpoboy she ever had and she visited no quite regularly. but she also said that she hadn't been there since 1973... of course i was sceptical about going since a lot can change in 40 years right?!?!?! well let me tell you it was the best sandwich i have ever eaten....well worth the cost as they do not skimp on the meat in the sandwich...i could hardly get my mouth around it!

this is the only place you should get a fried oysterpoboy. once you try it, nothing else will compare. get it with dressed with mayo, ketchup, and crystal. it sounds weird but that’s how they do it there and it’s damn good.

if you’re not careful, you’ll drive right by this place. i missed it twice! be warned, placing your order here is a little tricky. so when you walk in, look for a ticket dispenser, they will call your number, this is when you step up to the cash register and place your order. the menu is on the wall located behind you (so on the wall to your left as you walk in) and hand-written as is new orleans style. after you place your order, you pray and hope that a table will open up. if thepoboy gods allow it, you will be given a place to sit. while waiting for your food, you can yonder over to the bar where you can get your choice of assorted cold drinks and zapp’s chips. then your order number is called and this is when you pay for your food. sooo, how did my experience here go? nothing like what i just described. we did everything that you could possibly do wrong! we almost got up and left without even paying! shrimppoboy

most overratepoboy?. their poboys aren't even good, but people fawn over them. their poboys are much too overpriced also. i haven't been back since 2007 because of this.
