wonderful!. we went here on mother's day, and it was amazing! we had the fried green tomatoes as an appetizer, then for lunch we had the fish & chips, the mahi mahi tacos and the chicken bandellerios (sp?) and everything was exceptional, even the service was great! to top off thegreatfood the beer was some of the best i've ever had, and i have had a lot of beer :). i will definitely go here again and again.

go there for the food and for beer. my most recent visit included the chopped plate with agreataxis burger and the best grilled veggies to be had anywhere. the mushrooms were soft and juicy and the asparagus was salty crispy goodness. i've also had the fish tacos, the sausage ,and the chicken wraps and would be happy to have any of them again. the venue is what it is; it's a converted house trying to be a restaurant. it's clean and the staff are friendly, but young and perhaps a little distracted by each other.

just got beer and buffalo nuggets. tried the ipa which i thought was pretty good, not too bitter like some ipa's are. also tried the oatmeal stout which had agreatsmell but was a bit bland. thought the beers were expensive, happy hour is 4.95 a pint, regular 5.95 a pint which is high considering it's their beer brand and they make it there. also had buffalo nuggets which had a good kick to them, came with carrots and celery, ranch. was about 6 which is a fine price for an appetizer at a restaurant. sat on the patio which was nice b/c it was a bit warn inside. not sure if i would stop by again.

i give it 2.5 stars. appetizers were good, pretzel and cheese, that's about it. kids chicken nuggets and fries were good. my korean wraps with the beef were blaaand!! just not very good at all. wife's burger was so-so. server asked what kind of bun, jalepeno or regular, and she asked for jalepeno, but got regular. seemed like it was understaffed as it took a long while between visits from our server. the only thing really good was my spicy tortilla soup. the wife's chili was lacking flavor also.greatatmosphere and neat setting.

what a cheery surprise. the flight of 4 local brews (they allowed me to substitute one w their pear cider) hit the spot w locally made sausage, w raspberry and spicy mustard! huge pretzels (am i in getmany??) and german potato salad. everything summed up-greatwelcome to boerne.

great for tourists. as a tourist, this was agreatplace to try in boerne. their food is awesome and an unusual variety - sausage plates, philly cheese steaks and thai lettuce wraps, for example.
i'd love to have had the chance to eat there twice to try a few other things. lots of flavor. the chorizo nachos app wasgreattoo!

the negative reviews are hilarious. the dodging duck is a hi quality micro brewery and i will continue to come back for the fish tacos alone. the service has always beengreatto me and the atmosphere sets ir apart. if you like coors light, beware of the beer! haha.

use to be my fav!. for a long time, dodging duck was my go-to place in boerne.greatsalads,greatfish,greatsteak,greatpretzels & definitelygreatpotato salad. the last few trips changed that for me. they've changed their menu a little bit, and not for the good... the quality of the food isn't as good, the service has gotten worse, and the last waitress we had was just down right rude. my husband and i ordered pecan pie, it came in a mason jar and was about $10. it apparently had some time of liquor in it, that failed to cook off and the entire thing tasted like a straight shot. very disappointing. i've since move from boerne and i might venture in on a visit, but it's unlikely.

atmosphere saves the duck. i love the effort here...greatatmosphere with a nice deck for drinking. but, the service is routinely slow and the beer is nothing to go out of your way for (i wish it was!!) i hit this spot for lack of better options. all in all... its ok.

enjoyed our two visits this week-end. took my brother (from the upper peninsula of michigan) to dodging duck twice this week-end -- once for lunch and once for dinner...we shared the fried green tomatoes both visits -- love the cilantro lime sauce and the fried green tomatoes. tried the thai wraps and the chicken wraps -- both were excellent. my brother also loved the boerne salad and i had agreatchicken burger. we had good service even though the restaurant was very busy. my brother particularly enjoyed the beer!

great food and service. nice off the beaten path spot with a good beer and wine selection andgreatfood. enjoyed sitting outside (beats a snowy april in mn!). was traveling for work and a place with character is always a nice break from the chains/cookie-cutter places.

the only thing we really ever eat here is the steak medallions.greatsauces which accompany them! the beer is not good and the other entrees are disappointing but the medallions and their sauces keep us coming back. the vege plate is good too!

texmade.greatfood,greatbeer, and agreatview. one of the places you don't want to miss in boerne. it is also a dog friendly restaurant. feel free to bring your leashed dogs on the deck. keith is the brew miester of the hill country.

whiner at the duck. i have never had bad service at the dodging duck. when it gets crowded it is slow but, it is certainly not the wait staff. it sounds like blair howard needs to feel important by bullying the wait staff who can't fight back on these online forums and reviews. i ate there tonight and was extremely happy with thegreatservice and i tipped accordingly. only cheap chumps stiff wait staff. you guys are great!
