my favorite dish at dizzy's. i wholeheartedly attest to the reuben prepared by dizzy's gypsy bistro. after enjoying a buffet dinner for a holiday gathering at dizzys' i still ordered the reuben as my guilty pleasure overrode my common sense. the cuisine, ambiance and uptown feel combine for a specialtimeto enjoy. keep up the great work and especially the care that goes into what dizzys' is all about.

your gain. my hat is off to dizzy's gypsy bistro, when they left benton they managed to improve on perfection. they serve the best cheese dip in the rivermarket, there staff still full service and impeckable, and the atomsphere totally comfortable and relaxing, espically the patio, thistimeof the year. so worth the trip from benton to the rivermarket for a meal with our old friends from benton.

love it, love it, love it!. dizzy's gypsy bistro isn't a new restaurant to central arkansas, but it is a new addition to downtown little rock. the gorgeous, covered patio at the front of the restaurant allows you to enjoy lunch, happy hour or dinner outside regardless of the weather. the inside of the restaurant is eclectic and decorated with fabulous art work and funky chandeliers. it's always tough for me to pick a table inside or out.
i can't get enough of dizzy's food and their extensive menu allows me to try something new everytimei am there. here are a couple of my suggestions:
the spinach/artichoke dip is amazingly rich and creamy and a great appetizer for the entire table as it's served in an oversized bowl.
mary ann's dream-forever young salad is phenomenal--the salad is always fresh, crisp and my summer salad of choice. i love the cranberries, mandarin oranges and bourbon pecans that come on the salad.
have a sweet tooth? then you have to check out the daily desserts--ask your server what they have. the wedding cake is my go-to dessert--it's wonderful! i'll even admit having gone to dizzy's just for a glass of wine and piece of wedding cake. it's worth every calorie!
i'd suggest dizzy's gypsy bistro any day of the week! see ya there!

nice atmosphere, that's all. i recently went to gypsy's for dinner while visiting little rock. i had been to vermillion water grille several times so i knew that the location was great for a funtimeout downtown in the river market. i had heard that the cheese dip was great, and let's face it, you have to have great cheese dip in little rock. when it arrived at the table, it looked completely gross. it was white and lumpy. totally looked like a bowl of porridge or something. it did taste pretty good once you got past the appearance. after reviewing the menu and not wanting pasta, i settled on one of their burgers as a safe choice. it was pretty good, i have had better though. my dining partners dinners basically looked like the cheese dip, lumpy, and alltogether unappetizing. at least the cheese dip tasted better than it looked. their dinners looked like slop and tasted like slop. on to dessert. we ordered cake balls. not kidding, that's what they were called. basically small balls of chocolate cake, served cold with ice cream. it was inexpensive which is the only good thing to say about it.

i was told by the waiter they had been open for years in the benton/bryant area. i sure hope that our experience was because they were opening in a new location and working out the kinks. however, i think it had been open at least a few weeks if not a month or more. i don't think i will be back when returning to little rock.

great food! big portions! firsttimebeing here and i ordered the sicilian dip. simple yet exceptional sandwich and enjoyed the lost forty day drinker with it! this is a laid back establishment so don't expect a rush order, so allow yourself to slow down.

great burger. on my second visit to dizzy's for lunch i tried the half pound mushroom-swiss burger and it was wonderful. cooked perfectly, lots of flavor, good quality meat and definitely a meal! good fries as well. i plan to keep coming back and working my way down the menu.

the most unique place i've found in lr. i had lunch here today for the firsttimeand truly enjoyed it. there's a nicely screened patio for outdoor dining on nice days; a good sized bar area just inside and then a large dining room in back. the place is full of bright, vibrant colors, wonderful contemporary art and great music as a backdrop. the menu covers a wide cross-section of cuisines so there's something for everyone. i chose the little house salad with balsamic and it was quite good. i also had the black bean and chicken soup--as a soup lover i found this to be a great recipe i've never had before and look forward to having again. service was excellent and i liked everything about the place.

really disappointed. been to dizzy's gypsy twice. the firsttimewas good. but the second time, just last saturday night, was genuinely awful. the bartender did not know how to make a simple margarita...and swore rudely and well within earshot when it was returned. the replacement had virtually no tequila in it. i waited a longtimefor my walleye which was only fair and the pasta dish was served cold. yup. cold. our server was great but so rushed and we were so freaking disappointed and surprised that we paid and left. the live music is a great idea but was really loud...and for me to say that, it must've been loud. i really, really want to like dgb. but i'll think twice before going back...

the food is good. the service is okay but can be slow at times - even when it isn't that busy. while i like the food and decor, i go when i havetimeto spare. it is a good place to sit and enjoy a drink and the delicious cheese dip.

great find!. really enjoy dining here. been there in the afternoons or early evenings, and can always find a to dine alone and read, hang out with friends at the bar, or dine with a group.
the menu is very interesting and there's something different to eat everytimei've gone there. service is always polite and attentive, and the locals apparently love eating outside in the heat (i don't, but more power to 'em!).
wedding cake dessert is well worth the trip even just for that, but you should try other foods on the menu; had great pasta, salad, prime rib, etc.
well worth the visit!

we loved the place from the moment we stepped inside. the decor was fun & funky and we were absolutely in love with the light fixtures. i totally want to diy this one. the food was absolutely delicious. arkansas is apparently the cheese dip capital of the world, and dizzy's is known for their award winning dip. we started with an order of that, and my only complaint is the portion size. since it was just the two of us at dinner, we were both full by thetimewe finished the dip. they offer half size portions of several of their entrees, and it would have been awesome to have been able to get this in a smaller portion. logically, i know we could have stopped eating it, but it was way too good. this wasn't some soupy, chili's-style queso. this was cheese dip. each chip that came out of the bowl brought thick, gooey cheese with it. the addition of salsa, pico de gallo & sour cream made this even more perfect.

good food good service. we have a corp loft across the street from dizzy's and spend the week in little rock. we stumbled upon this little gem and have visited numerous times. the food is prepared fresh, the salad dressings are made in-house as are the sauces and cakes. i have tried many items on the menu and all have been tasty, fresh, large portions. the wedding cake is one of the favorites for dessert. mushrooms in a cream sauce were outstanding, the salads they offer have distinct and interesting tastes. the rueben sandwich i had for lunch was huge and the hint of horseradish mustard made the sandwich even better.

they get busy during lunch and dinner hours so don't expect to come in sit down and have a plate of food dropped at your table. the preparation of fresh food takes some time, but well worth the wait. our favorite server carmen who doubles as a bartender is always there for drink refills checking on our meals.

this is a hidden gem with good service and great food.

this place, unfortunately, has to come off my list. i had great service the firsttimei went, but subsequent visits have been disappointing. the service is slow. tonight, when finally greeted by the server, i was taken aback because he was so shabbily dressed and had sunglasses on the back of his head-i thought someone had wandered into the place and was bothering the patrons. not kidding. then one of our party was served a baked potato that was rotten almost all the way through. not a good enough place for the prices and service. i won't go back, which is a shame because the cheese dip is actually great.
