dizzy's gypsy bistro

love this place!. dizzy's is my family's favorite place to go. you're greeted with a smile (and a hug if you've been there a few times), the atosphere is comfortable, and the food is superb! there is something for everyone on the menu. everything is fresh! not only is the food good and the atmosphere inviting; but the owner, darla, makes it a point to always givebackto her community and serve the greater good. support small business and eat at dizzy's!

nice atmosphere, that's all. i recently went to gypsy's for dinner while visiting little rock. i had been to vermillion water grille several times so i knew that the location was great for a fun time out downtown in the river market. i had heard that the cheese dip was great, and let's face it, you have to have great cheese dip in little rock. when it arrived at the table, it looked completely gross. it was white and lumpy. totally looked like a bowl of porridge or something. it did taste pretty good once you got past the appearance. after reviewing the menu and not wanting pasta, i settled on one of their burgers as a safe choice. it was pretty good, i have had better though. my dining partners dinners basically looked like the cheese dip, lumpy, and alltogether unappetizing. at least the cheese dip tasted better than it looked. their dinners looked like slop and tasted like slop. on to dessert. we ordered cake balls. not kidding, that's what they were called. basically small balls of chocolate cake, served cold with ice cream. it was inexpensive which is the only good thing to say about it.

i was told by the waiter they had been open for years in the benton/bryant area. i sure hope that our experience was because they were opening in a new location and working out the kinks. however, i think it had been open at least a few weeks if not a month or more. i don't think i will bebackwhen returning to little rock.

band is super loud inside. the prices may set youback- especially for pasta, but the portions are to match! started with a great artichoke dip $9. my obscenely large feta, tomato district pasta came with a side salad. all around too much good food. they tout a biodegradable holier than thou take out container which you can fry and eat after you've finished your leftovers.

everything was awesome. the atmosphere was relaxing and fun. food really good. the cheese dip was killer. brought hopebackto me that little rock has good food.

great food! big portions! first time being here and i ordered the sicilian dip. simple yet exceptional sandwich and enjoyed the lost forty day drinker with it! this is a laidbackestablishment so don't expect a rush order, so allow yourself to slow down.

great burger. on my second visit to dizzy's for lunch i tried the half pound mushroom-swiss burger and it was wonderful. cooked perfectly, lots of flavor, good quality meat and definitely a meal! good fries as well. i plan to keep comingbackand working my way down the menu.

the most unique place i've found in lr. i had lunch here today for the first time and truly enjoyed it. there's a nicely screened patio for outdoor dining on nice days; a good sized bar area just inside and then a large dining room in back. the place is full of bright, vibrant colors, wonderful contemporary art and great music as a backdrop. the menu covers a wide cross-section of cuisines so there's something for everyone. i chose the little house salad with balsamic and it was quite good. i also had the black bean and chicken soup--as a soup lover i found this to be a great recipe i've never had before and look forward to having again. service was excellent and i liked everything about the place.

went for lunch and wasn't overly impressed. it wasn't bad, but i wouldn't gobackand spend the money for mediocre food. the alfredo sauce was bland lacking any seasoning. the burger was good sized for the price, but was cooked way overdone. there are much better places in little rock to eat in my opinion.

this place, unfortunately, has to come off my list. i had great service the first time i went, but subsequent visits have been disappointing. the service is slow. tonight, when finally greeted by the server, i was taken aback because he was so shabbily dressed and had sunglasses on thebackof his head-i thought someone had wandered into the place and was bothering the patrons. not kidding. then one of our party was served a baked potato that was rotten almost all the way through. not a good enough place for the prices and service. i won't go back, which is a shame because the cheese dip is actually great.

love this place!!!!. dizzy's does not only have the best food in town with the widest variety to choose from, but it also has the best atmosphere. the music is jumpin' the lighting is great, the style & decorations are over the top!!! there is always something new and interesting to look at when i come in. this place is one of a kind & they stand out!!! the service is always outstanding! everyone always seems very welcoming and happy to make sure i have a nice dinner. it's just an all around comfortable and relaxing environment. i dont get to get out much, but when i do its nice to know that i can count on dizzys to make it special!! cant wait to gobacksoon!!!

best lunch ever in little rock. i found dizzy's on the net when looking for a new place to eat during "date weekend" with my hubby and decided to try it after reading the reviews. so glad we did!!! there was no wait when we got there but probably because it was a saturday. we did try the "award winning" cheese dip which was awesome. we then both ordered a sandwich and they were so big we had a hard time even finishing half the sandwich (but not because we didn't want to). the service was great (thanks carmen!!!) and we will bebackwith our kids. this is my new favorite restaurant in arkansas! a definite must try!!!!!!!

my friend and i tried dizzy's for the first time tonight. needless to say, we will definitely bebackand bringing more of our friends. our service by the host, bartenders and wait staff was impeccable. the food was incredible, atmosphere friendly and staff...excellent. try the cheese dip. even if you don't have room...get dessert. the wedding cake is to die for!! we can't wait to go back!

i really liked it!. i gotta say, i love sammiches! the ruben was sooo good. didn't care for the crinkel fries but the seasoning on them was great. we ate on the patio at night and it was kinda romantic, i'm not gonna lie! my friend said it was one of the best long island's she had ever had. pretty fun drink menu and tons of wine. will gobackduring the day for some lunch or something after a stroll downtown. very friendly staff too!

a veteran gypsy lover. i've been going to dizzy's since i was in my teens, and i have yet to find something on the menu i don't like.seven years later, i still eat there often and still love the food. the servers are friendly, and after you've been in once or twice, they're sure to remember your face. they're unique and the environment they create both with their personalities and the artwork mirrors that.
they're continually coming up with new food and drinks- a couple of weeks ago i tried their jumbalaya and their royal peach drink and both were amazing!
i always recommend this place to my friends at school, and they always comebackand tell me they loved it.
