it's a real shame i didn't get to sit down and eat at daci & daci. i visited on two separate occasions for takeaway and the range and quality were impressive. honestly the main reason i sought it out was after reading that they have a fantastic rocky road (which is sitting waiting for me in the pantry).

there's probably a bit of bias in this review as i ordered something i dislike accidentally.
had the hazelnut dacquoise, one spoonful later and i realised i really dislike dacquoise...
other people all seem to enjoy their food though.

we checked this place out for afternoon tea. we were greeted and welcomed warmly by the staff. they were friendly and accommodating. i wished we came here a little bit earlier as they were almost closing when we went there which was a bit unfortunate. we just opted for the apple galette. that was very tasty and delicious. if ever i will visit hobart again, i think i will definitely check this place out again.

yum! daci & daci really know how to setup a bakery full of goodness! food can be a little pricey but it is all of good quality. service could be improved a little, it gets rather busy.

beautiful place and nice food. i had the egg sandwich, it was so big and tasted really good, and the tomato sauce with the dish just highlight it. the only thing you may need to worry is they are always so busy and you have to wait for a seat.

i had forgotten how amazing their desserts are until my recent re-visit. as always, the only hard decision was which dessert to choose. i choose 4, and i choose really well (strawberry mousse & blackberry & apple crumble). wow! i was in heaven. although you wouldn't want to share, each portion is too large to eat on your own. i am sure others will disagree. i bought mine to take home so i could share & taste them all.

each mini cake is around $8- so it all adds up even if you decide only get 4. in the past i have purchased their sensational cakes when i have people over but due to increase in $, that now makes it only for very very special occasion. there probably lies the reason for my infrequent visit. however i would definitely recommend a least one visit, highly worth it!

omg just arrived in hobart for the weekend and stumbled across this gem. everything looked so amazing it was difficult to choose but we went for the pork and fennel sausage roll, chicken and leek pie and a chocolate mousse/meringue sweet thing. amazing!! i think i will come back everyday while we are here.

great cafe with lots of deliciously tempting savoury and sweet options for everyone!

we came here for breakfast and were very pleased with the food and coffee.

the salmon tart was amazing and just simply hit-the-spot for me :)
the ham and egg slice (can't remember the actual name) was great too. it was packed full of eggs and of course very tasty with the relish.

it is worth visiting this cafe just to see the baked treats on display. great for breakfast lunch or just coffee. good coffee too which is hard to find in hobart. the meringues are especially amazing. we are here several times during our stay and would highly recommend eating here.

delicious and beautifully presented cakes and treats. a tad on the pricey side, but the taste, quality, and presentation is definitely worth it. highly recommend a visit!

possibly the worst coffee in hobart. the long lines and packed venue suggested a great café, popular to locals and vibrant enough for tourists. alas the food was so-so and the coffee (not only spilled by the waitress on numerous occasions) was burnt, bitter and sludgey. does daci even have a real barista?

heading to hobart for the first time, i did a little research on zomato for places to eat - knowing we were meeting up with friends who had probably already figured out our dining plan - and came across daci & daci.  well on our first night in town, we were driving to our hotel and as we drove past d&d our lovely host said "be sure to go there if you can".

so we did!!! and thank god - it was fabulous.  firstly you walk into foodie heaven - shiny display cabinet after shiny display cabinet, filled with the most delicious looking savoury and sweet plates of pure joy.  i think i spent my first 10 minutes just looking at all this beauty (and taking phots) feeling like the proverbial kid but in a bakery rather than candy store.

it was incredibly difficult to decide on what to eat - but it was breakfast - and quite early for me (well on a weekend away anyway) and so it was that i actually reigned in my greed a little and settled on sourdough with avocado, tomatoes and marinated goats feta. just to top it off, i added a poached egg on top.

i was thinking this would be a lighter breakfast, how wrong i was with a very generous serving put in front of me - thank god i only went the one egg and not two.  it was delicious - the sourdough was truly delicious with a gorgeous crunchy crust that i loved.  then there was the goats feta - i am currently slightly addicted to all things goat - both the meat and the dairy - and this was seriously good.  i was in a little bit of goat heaven.

all washed down with a very pleasant - although it could have been hotter - skinny chai latte.

i adored hobart and will be back again and again and d&d is absolutely going to see me every visit - this place is fabulous!  and i have about four display cases to eat my way through.

a massive selection of desserts - sweet and savoury! we went on a weekday so crowd wasn't that big and we were able to grab our table straightaway and the food came out within 15min.

bfast menu - small selection. i ordered the avacado and feta and tomatoes on toast. good but toast was slightly too toasted for me, struggled to cut through it w the knives given.

got a $10 rocky rock piece for my hubby too..! a big sucker for takeaway hehe!!
