mrs. having visited daci & daci on recomendation whilst visiting tasmania from uk, we found the food andcakesvery tasty and good sized with the cake display visually mouthwatering (unfortunately i am diaabetic) if we lived in tas we would be back every week. whilst there have been negative comments, remember this is a new business and finding the right staff is never easy. give the business a chance and look forward to all the crinkles being ironed out.

sought out this cafe having read other inviting reviews for our trip to hobart. the cafe window is a show stopper with beautiful merangues jams andcakesthat make you ooohhhh and aaaahhh and then you go inside! this is where one can't decide what to have first because everything looks sensational. we went for breakfast & had the 3 toast & house jam which was delish. my dining companion had the berry brioche danish, we had a great tasting coffee. we vowed to return and did so for lunch and had the pork & fennel sausage rolls. these were taste sensations. we then got somecakesto take away - baked ricotta cheesecake, raspberry set custard tart, passionfruit merangues & an orange madeline. we also bought a slab of their strawberry & passionfruit rocky road. we plan to go again before we fly home to get some treats from this amazing place. close to salamancca markets. this cafe is a must to visit when in hobart.

loved their conquer monsieur, done prefectly with prosciutto with melting cheese. service sometimes let down when it’s busy... the staffs seem rusty and impatient.cakesare all right and maybe mine wasn’t ordered right. it just didn’t impress me.

this place has been sold as the best avo smash in australia and when the 3 other people i was dining with all ordered it i should have known. and when i tasted it was indeed true!

we got there on a rainy hobart saturday morning and it was pretty crowded; fortunately the weather nice enough that we could sit outside. sitting outside you had to order inside and breakfast finished at 11! i suppose all day breakfast hasn't caught on in tasmania yet; maybe in 10 years time!

nonetheless we got out orders in on time and very shortly after that they came out. the coffees were excellent, my breakfast beans was nice but the avo was truly divine! the dukkah worked so well with the avo and the fetta.

of course after that we had to have cakes! moved inside and got tables without difficulty. all thecakeswas very sweet. the eclair perhaps traded form for function (not enough chocolate!), the mojito could have had more rum (we did start the gin tasting at 9am), the portuguese tart was one of the best i've had and the concorde was really really chocolatey.

a lovely place to go after salamanca market. the lunch menu looked good (pies, sausage rolls, rolls and pastries) but it wasn't quite like the breakfast menu - be nice if they did that all day!

before arriving in hobart, i was searching up cafes to visit and this bakery popped up. we went in for breakfast. the place has a wide array of savoury and sweet pastries on display, cakesand bread. we got the almond croissant, apple & berry struesel and a sweet potato tortilla, with coffee for drinks. the food were really tasty that we decided to take away some food to try later that day. we got the lamb/rosemary pie, chicken pie, pork & fennel sausage roll, roast pumpkin salad and the maple & pecan tart. i really love both the sweet snd savoury food here, and would definitely recommend this place, lovely place to chill or hang out with friends.

excellent lemon tart, the bakery is so busy, the wait for coffee is ridicolous.
i find the take away prices and eat in prices very strange. take away sausage roll is $10 and eat in is $14. this seems really high to me, unless they give you a salad as well.
jackman and mcross charge $6 for a sausage roll, and i think size is similar.
smaller range ofcakesthan the previous mentioned bakery, but still very good

great variety ofcakesand pastry. it's kinda like the hobart version of brunetti. everything looked and tasted amazing. really enjoyed the blueberry danish pastry. be warned that they might not have everything available if you come at a later hour.

my favourite cake shop in hobart. thecakesall look so pretty and though some may be on the sweeter side, i always go for the blueberry cheesecake. the savoury pastries are also worth trying such as the salmon  brioche which is my go-to.

we walked by this pretty bakery for the second time in hobart, i had to go in and have a look as theircakeslooked just so beautiful. i ordered hazelnut something cake for $9, and with my first bite i knew it's not something i like. the cake looked very nice, but the taste was less than ordinary- that doesn't mean othercakesaren't nice though!

i visited daci and daci for some afternoon tea. was walking along the street and thecakeslooked so good, it jus attracted me into the cafe. i was quite disappointed on two things: thecakesdidnt taste as good as it looked, overly sweet with no texture or balance and secondly the wait staff jus kept shifting me table to table. i am guessing if they didnt want customers sitting at a certain table they should simply place the reserved sign.
overall not worth the visit.
