we had an amazing lunch here. everything was presented beautifully with well-dressed salad and well-balanced flavours. the coffee left a little to be desired - we found it slightly bitter - but in all, that didn’t dissuade us from returning for lunch to try the delicious-looking food. we are so glad we did!

this place was meant to be a quick stop before and event, ended up changing plans just to come back a third time over a short hobart trip! the food quality is the selling point here with most desserts being made fresh daily. the staff are also lovely and educated about the store and quality/process of the food prep etc. would highly recommend.

excellent coffee with a brilliant selection of french classic cakes and pastries. very sweet little space, extra points for decent dda access.

terrible food. ordered the avo on toast with eggs and it was incredibly sour, the restaurant didn’t seem to care in the least bit that the food was literally inedible. on putting a review on facebook the owner responded in an extremely rude manner claiming we had finished almost all of our meal and asked not to pay for it. she also implied that this is how it’s supposed to taste, i’ve had a lot of avo on toasts in melbourne with lemon oil drizzle, this one was inedibly sour. they dont take criticism well and have no idea on what good customer service is, obviously.

we needed a take away coffee as we did a little walking tour of hobart. the place was packed and no wonder the coffee was great and next time i am going to try the cakes displayed in the window too.

the portuguese tart caught my eye and i'm glad i tried it! overall ambience of the cafe is really chill and the staff are friendly! 4 stars as i did not dine in, and i've only tried one item. but i do think it is worth a trip down!

loved their conquer monsieur, done prefectly with prosciutto with melting cheese. service sometimes let down when it’s busy... the staffs seem rusty and impatient. cakes are all right and maybe mine wasn’t ordered right. it just didn’t impress me.

the worst experience in recent year. we were completely ignored by this cafe, misorder, racist staff...we sat there quite a while waiting for our coffee that never came, then i went back in to ask politely, the one who took our order just turn around, instead, another staff serve me again aggressively. i can understand morning shift could be tough as myself work in hospitality industry, but there’s no need to be rude and take it out on customers. they said this is the cafe with parisienne atmosphere, if that means their stunk attitude then that make sense..

have visited twice here for brekkie during or trip to tassie and both times i have been happy with the food served. first dish was avocado on toast and it was absolutely delicious. spiced bean dish was also terrific. hubby ordered brioche eggs florentine and while he was happy with flavour, eggs were somewhat overcooked. we aren’t really fussy like that but a lovely british sounding waitress happened to be walking by and noticed and offered a replacement. it’s things like that, that make a difference in your experience. i’d definitely come back when we visit again. oh and they have delicious bacon!!!

this place is completely gorgeous. we only popped in for coffee and cake but next time we are in hobart we will have to have lunch. we tried the ‘concorde’ which was was a dark belgian mousse and crisp cocoa meringue layers. one word, decadent! #bakery #belgianchocolate #chocolateporn

great location and server was great. the staff behind the counter, particularly one man (to 20's wannabe hipster), was incredibly rude for some reason (i assume didn't like newcomers to tasmania?) and slammed the bill on the table when we paid. weird!

this place has been sold as the best avo smash in australia and when the 3 other people i was dining with all ordered it i should have known. and when i tasted it was indeed true!

we got there on a rainy hobart saturday morning and it was pretty crowded; fortunately the weather nice enough that we could sit outside. sitting outside you had to order inside and breakfast finished at 11! i suppose all day breakfast hasn't caught on in tasmania yet; maybe in 10 years time!

nonetheless we got out orders in on time and very shortly after that they came out. the coffees were excellent, my breakfast beans was nice but the avo was truly divine! the dukkah worked so well with the avo and the fetta.

of course after that we had to have cakes! moved inside and got tables without difficulty. all the cakes was very sweet. the eclair perhaps traded form for function (not enough chocolate!), the mojito could have had more rum (we did start the gin tasting at 9am), the portuguese tart was one of the best i've had and the concorde was really really chocolatey.

a lovely place to go after salamanca market. the lunch menu looked good (pies, sausage rolls, rolls and pastries) but it wasn't quite like the breakfast menu - be nice if they did that all day!

great bakery near salamanca market area, good lunch options and beautiful looking (and tasting) pastries. the service was good, the tables are small though so don't order too much!

really good pastries and food, cute atmosphere even with the current construction. chocolate croissant and croque monsieur were both tasty as were coffees and hot chocolates. tropicana cake was good too. i’d recommend it.
