disappointing!! after hearing mixed reviews thought it was worth trying out for ourselves...to start with my coffee got spilled on the way over and barely mopped up by the waitress...then i realized after drinking my coffee was in fact not soy and i have an allergy to dairy!! no variations on thebreakfastor lunch menus so those with intolerances to foods need not bother trialling!! and no eggs on offer :( will not frequent again!!

sought out this cafe having read other inviting reviews for our trip to hobart. the cafe window is a show stopper with beautiful merangues jams and cakes that make you ooohhhh and aaaahhh and then you go inside! this is where one can't decide what to have first because everything looks sensational. we went forbreakfast& had the 3 toast & house jam which was delish. my dining companion had the berry brioche danish, we had a great tasting coffee. we vowed to return and did so for lunch and had the pork & fennel sausage rolls. these were taste sensations. we then got some cakes to take away - baked ricotta cheesecake, raspberry set custard tart, passionfruit merangues & an orange madeline. we also bought a slab of their strawberry & passionfruit rocky road. we plan to go again before we fly home to get some treats from this amazing place. close to salamancca markets. this cafe is a must to visit when in hobart.

this place has been sold as the best avo smash in australia and when the 3 other people i was dining with all ordered it i should have known. and when i tasted it was indeed true!

we got there on a rainy hobart saturday morning and it was pretty crowded; fortunately the weather nice enough that we could sit outside. sitting outside you had to order inside andbreakfastfinished at 11! i suppose all daybreakfasthasn't caught on in tasmania yet; maybe in 10 years time!

nonetheless we got out orders in on time and very shortly after that they came out. the coffees were excellent, mybreakfastbeans was nice but the avo was truly divine! the dukkah worked so well with the avo and the fetta.

of course after that we had to have cakes! moved inside and got tables without difficulty. all the cakes was very sweet. the eclair perhaps traded form for function (not enough chocolate!), the mojito could have had more rum (we did start the gin tasting at 9am), the portuguese tart was one of the best i've had and the concorde was really really chocolatey.

a lovely place to go after salamanca market. the lunch menu looked good (pies, sausage rolls, rolls and pastries) but it wasn't quite like thebreakfastmenu - be nice if they did that all day!

daci&daci bakers was right next to the waterfront in the heart of hobart. they open from 7:00 and seven days a week.
the bakery was a great place forbreakfastand brunch or maybe for dessert as well. there were so many different savoury pastries and sweets, cakes, tarts on the shelves! don't forget these good looking danish and croissants!
*smoked salmon tart-good pick for savourybreakfastand served with some green leave salad. the tart shell was not as flaky as i expected, but the smoke salmon was the highlight, with strong smoky flavours and nice saltiness.
*eclairs-traditional french sweet choux pasty dessert with vanilla cream filling. small in size, but had sweet and smooth filling.
the quality of food was around average, but i do enjoyed the atmosphere there. i would recommend this place who was looking for nice breakfast/brunch option.

this place was amazing, great forbreakfastand lunch. beautiful selection of sweet and savoury food. we had the spinach, leek and feta pastry and the smoked salmon tart. costs a little extra to have in as they warm up the food and serve with a salad. we enjoyed our meal so much we decided we would come back the morning of our flight back to melbourne so we could eat it at the airport!!

we had a deliciousbreakfastand coffee here. staff were very nice and service was fast considering how busy it was. the only issue was the tiny tables - the small round ones can really only fit a couple of coffees, not twobreakfastplates. anyway, i highly recommend this place.

great cafe with lots of deliciously tempting savoury and sweet options for everyone!

we came here forbreakfastand were very pleased with the food and coffee.

the salmon tart was amazing and just simply hit-the-spot for me :)
the ham and egg slice (can't remember the actual name) was great too. it was packed full of eggs and of course very tasty with the relish.
